Looking out over the spectacular Bay of Naples from its lush hillside setting, this fabulous modern villa creates not only a welcoming haven but a fantastic base for exploring one of the most fascinating and vibrant areas of Southern Italy. From the dramatic scenery of the Amalfi Coast to the chic island of Capri and the fascinating remains of Pompeii under Mount Vesuvius, there is so much to discover nearby.

A dramatic winding road leading up to the villa passes bustling villages, verdant gardens and glimpses of the blue sea below. As you drive through the villa gates, you are treated to a glorious Mediterranean garden in bloom with sweet smelling citrus trees, shady palms, a cooling pool and sweeping views towards the imposing volcano of Vesuvius across the sea.

A striking, white mansion against the blue sky, the villa boasts extensive terraces on each level and elegant interiors with smooth marble floors, comfortable seating and a unique collection of Italian works of art. Ideal for couples or families, each of the four bedrooms has its private bathroom and outdoor space.

Large windows run along the sides of the villa, each with a perfectly positioned sitting or dining area, so you can make the most of the views to the green garden, azure sea and the dramatic silhouette of Mount Vesuvius beyond.

The villa's main attractions include a sophisticated bar area boasting an impressive wine cellar, a selection of fine wines, champagnes, distillates, and draft beers. For those seeking a touch of class, a professional bartender can be arranged for a night, special event, or the entire stay. The villa's recent addition of a rooftop oasis featuring a heated jacuzzi offers the perfect setting for a sunset aperitif with breathtaking views.

The pool, which has been newly renovated for summer 2022, awaits for a refreshing dip before a breakfast outside on the terrace or a leisurely swim and siesta after a day of sightseeing. It is in the garden where most gravitate during the long summer evenings.

Here you can enjoy long meals together and sample the freshest produce from the area, perhaps a traditional pasta dish with fresh seafood, incredible creamy mozzarella and juicy tomato salad, delicious gelato and a tangy limoncello liqueur.

Head down to the coast for a choice of beaches and the town of Sorrento for pizzerias, boutiques and boats to the stunning island of Capri or the city buzz of Naples.

What Oliver loves...

  • The spectacular views across the sea to Mount Vesuvius from the terrace – the perfect view for an evening Aperol after a swim
  • The lush gardens, outdoor seating areas and well-maintained pool which creates a relaxed, private oasis away from the buzz of Sorrento and Naples
  • The strategic location for visiting Vesuvius, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast and island of Capri

What you should know

  • The villa and grounds feel private, although as there are other houses nearby, it is not for those seeking complete seclusion.
  • Although the outside area is enclosed and gated, young children need to be monitored outside, particularly by the pool edge where there is no barrier.
  • Seiano train station is within walking distance from the villa although there are no pedestrian footpaths, so you need to do as the locals do and walk there along the side of the road.
  • Please note that the use of any external caterers and/or contractors is not permitted.
  • The property is within walking distance to the village and the nearest restaurant. However, please note that some parts of the route do not have pavements.
