About the surrounding area of Villa SpetsesVilla Spetses is located just 600m from the centre of the town of Spetses, on the ancient island of Spetses, and a quick ferry journey from the mainland Peloponnese peninsula, Greece. The villa is just over one hundred kilometres from Athens’ international airport, and can be reached overland by car, or by ferry from the port of Piraeus.
From the villa a short walk will take you to the town of Spetses, where you will find local shops and supermarkets selling all you need for a happy holiday, welcoming bars and tavernas serving traditional Greek food, international restaurants, and some great beaches. The coastline of the island is populated with beautiful beaches, bays and coves, find your favourite and soak up some sun. Travel by horse-drawn carriages, bicycles, motorcycles, or taxis to secret sandy beaches and hidden coves, swim in Bekiris cave, or visit the delightfully named Bouboulina Museum. Tracing its history back to 8 000BC, the island of Spetses is full of treasures from ancient history, Venetian rule, and the Ottoman Empire. And for those who want to go further afield and explore more you can also island hop from Costa to Hydra, Poros, and Ermioni. All aboard a boat for a day of sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling, or why not treat yourself and charter a yacht for a lovely, long, lazy day at sea. For those who prefer dry land the area is full of nature’s beauty, superb for short walks or long hikes where you will discover the natural flora and fauna of the area and dramatic coastline.
For the more adventurous there’s plenty of beach water sports, get on those jet skis and ride the waves. Or gallop across the Aegean Sea’s white horses on a trusty steed from one of the local riding schools. Take the ferry from the port of Costa to the Peloponnese riviera, to the must-see cosmopolitan town of Porto Heli, full of smart Athenians embarking from one of the many super yachts in the local harbour. Here you can enjoy a little bit of luxury souvenir shopping, look at the local arts and crafts, dine at inviting waterside restaurants, and enjoy a spot of low-key Greek lifestyle beautiful-people watching in one of the many cool cafes. Visit Lake Ververoda Lake, believed by the local to have medicinal properties, it also hosts international water-skiing competitions, or take a swim or fish in its waters. In the summer evenings watch the stars under the stars at the Porto Heli’s open-air cinema.

Hopefully we will get back there before too long
Our extended family group of 7 stayed at the Villa on Spetses for a week. The Villa is about a 7 minute walk from the centre of town (uphill on the way back), very convenient for everything. We were able to get groceries delivered and the local rep Dimitris was super helpful and responsive. The Villa itself is beautiful with lots of space for everyone, a beautiful pool and nice shaded areas. We had a fantastic week, everyone loved it.

The Villa was wonderful!
We were 2 families with 6 kids in total and it was perfect for us. The house is more of a home than a house that tries to be a hotel so it’s comfortable and welcoming. It is spacious and very clean. Our kids were in the pool most of the day and there was plenty of room to have personal space. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful week!
