The villa is built on an elevated graded terrace, of classical local whitewash stone, and situated in a beautifully manicured Mediterranean garden. Villa Adras is home to six en suite bedrooms, spread over three different properties, some with private entrances, offering independence and privacy to all of the guests.

The property can comfortably accommodate up to twelve guests, perfect for a large family gathering, couples sharing, or friends get together. Commanding stunning sea views, with floor-to-ceiling picture windows flooding the living space with natural light and gentle sea breezes, this villa is the holiday home of your dreams. The beautiful interiors are furnished with natural wood and Ralph Lauren Home pieces and decorated in a classic palette of cool crisp whites and subtle shades of grey. The villa comes with its own private parking spaces, for your comfort and entertainment it has complimentary air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout, and LCD smart televisions in all of the bedrooms.

This unique property is divided into three separate living spaces, the Main House which sleeps six, the Guest Pool House which is home for four, and the Secret Suite which accommodates two. The three-storey Main House has a light and airy ground floor with an open plan living space. There is a beautifully appointed sitting room with superb sea views, an impressive twelve seater dining table and chairs, and a fully equipped fitted kitchen with everything you will need to cater for your holiday. The master bedroom suite is on the upper floor, with a large handcrafted wooden four poster double bed, with sunrise views of the beach, and an ensuite bathroom. The other two bedrooms are on the lower ground floor, the first is a large en suite double room, and the second is an en suite twin room with two single beds, both have private access to the terrace and gardens, and stunning sea views. A reading room on the lower ground floor is a great space to relax and catch up with this year’s bestsellers. The independent two-storey Guest Pool House has two en suite spacious sea view bedrooms, one on each floor, and a mini kitchen, ideal for morning coffee and midnight snacks. The Secret Suite, situated at the back of the main house, has a small living space, with a sofa, and an en suite double bedroom, perfect for teenagers or staff quarters.

The outside terrace is simply stunning, with elevated panoramic sea views and wooden decking with steps that lead down to your own private infinity swimming pool, landscaped terraces, and four fabulous verandas. Follow the stone steps down to the lower terrace where fat cushioned bean bags populate under a pergola, find yourself a hidden corner furnished with cushioned sun loungers and soak up the sea view, take a swing in the egg chair, or simply chill out on one of the many fitted soft seating areas. Sip a glass of chilled bubbles as you wallow in the bubbles of the lower deck sea view Jacuzzi. Eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the super smart outdoor dining table, located under a shady pergola. Take a walk around the well-manicured mature gardens festooned with Mediterranean trees, shrubs, and colourful flowers. And at the end of a hard day’s sunbathing, meet at the bar and raise a glass and enjoy a cocktail or two on the terrace as the sun sets over the horizon, before dining alfresco with local delicacies freshly grilled on the barbeque.

Villa Adras is located near Agrari Beach on the southern tip of the island of Mykonos, part of the Cyclades in the heart of the Aegean Sea. The exclusive island of Mykonos measures only ten kilometres long by fifteen kilometres wide, so wherever you want to go it’s only a short drive away. The villa is just three kilometres from Mykonos airport, which is served by both local and international flight operators. If you are island hopping the nearby Naxos and Syros also have their own airports. The new port of Mykonos is a hub of activity for those landing and departing from island hopping ferries, or super yachts cruising the Aegean, and is a quick twenty five minute drive to the villa.

The villa is near the resort town of Elia on the south coast, famous for its white sandy beaches, and stylish seafront restaurants. Villa Adras boasts one of the best locations on the island of Mykonos, situated just one hundred and fifty metres from the beautiful soft sandy beach of Agrari, a five minute walk down the paved path will take you to paradise. Agrari Beach is family-friendly, offering a selection of water sports, a playground, and cafes and bars, the south coast beaches have calmer sea waters than those in the north, which can be affected by the notoriously strong winds.

Near the villa, there is a tennis court, fitness centre, and fishing opportunities. The charming inland village of Ano Mera is only seven minute’s drive away, with a sixteenth century monastery, lots of local shops for provisions, and traditional Greek tavernas for some homemade meze. The coast is surrounded by many beautiful golden sandy beaches, take your pick from nearby nudist Elia beach to the family-friendly favourite of Plays Gialos Beach, or party, party, party all day long on Paradise Beach, with its crystal clear waters, restaurants, bars, and clubs with resident DJs, there’s something for everyone on the island of Mykonos. During daylight hours play penance in one of the eight hundred churches that populate the island, most notably Paraportiani, which is a unique construction combining four styles of architecture.

Take a visit to Mykonos town, known locally as Chora, and only five kilometres from the villa. Here you can wander the maze of streets with the colourful Cycladic houses, and do some serious designer label shopping in one of the many luxury boutiques. Take a table at a seafront restaurant, and enjoy a dish of freshly caught seafood, whilst sipping ouzo and watching the beautiful people pass by. Find out the island’s history and culture at the Archaeological Museum, the Folk Museum, and the Maritime Museum, then go out of town to Lena’s House to discover how the islanders lived. Take a walk up to the landmark windmills, known as Kato Mili, where once the wheat was ground to make bread and is now a mini museum and residencies. Walk along the waterfront to Little Venice, where original merchant houses overhang the sea, and are now home to cafes, bars, restaurants and galleries, best enjoyed at sunset with a retsina or two. Admire the Armenistis lighthouse, still fully functioning and an essential asset of Mykonos’ maritime history.

No visit to Mykonos is complete without a day at sea, join a catamaran jolly and snorkel in the sea, or if you’re feeling flush, charter your own yacht and discover secret coves and hidden bays and beaches, and for the romantics, nothing beats a sunset cruise, cocktail in hand as the sun sets over the horizon. Further afield the uninhabited island of Delos is well worth a visit, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to the birthplace of Zeus and Leto, go with a group or arrange your own private tour.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids Ideal for Teens

Your kids will just love a holiday on the island of Mykonos, and there’s a surprising number of fun and family activities to keep them amused. Starting with Villa Adras private infinity swimming pool, where there are no set hours they can play and splash all day. The villa also has a well-worn path to one of the best beaches on the island.

A three minute walk will take you the one hundred and fifty metres to the soft sands and easy entry calm waters of Agrari Beach. Agrari Beach also offers water sports for your older children, a playground for the younger ones, as well as a café and bar. The coastline of Mykonos is dotted with family-friendly beaches, many of which you can book ahead, and as the villa is on the south coast, it has much calmer seas, and is safer for children. We also recommend Agios Ioannis beach with pre-bookable sun loungers and parasols, cafes and calm seas. Kalo Livadi beach in the southeast has views over the Cyclades archipelago and the island of Naxos, and Panormos Beach offers a great restaurant with giant bean bags.

Your younger children may enjoy a visit to the Animal Organic Farm, where they can pet and feed the livestock, harvest seasonal crops, enjoy some time in nature, and keep themselves busy with some traditional farming tasks. Whilst your older kids could take a guided hike over the island’s landscape, exploring the local flora and fauna, ending with a cooling dip in the sea. All of the family will love a day at sea, whether it’s island hopping aboard a shared Catamaran, chartering a yacht and discovering secret coves, hidden bays and beaches, and swimming and snorkelling spotting friendly fish. Keep the creatives happy with a mosaic workshop, or a family cooking lesson with a local chef teaching you all to make traditional Greek meze.

A trip to Mykonos town is a must, wander the winding streets, shop for souvenirs, meet Petros the Pelican, the mascot of Mykonos, and then enjoy a family-friendly meal in a seaside taverna. For your intellectually curious offspring, there’s the Archaeological Museum, the Maritime Museum, the Folk Museum, and Lena’s House, all within walking distance of the old town. A short walk along the seafront will take you to Little Venice, a pirate’s paradise of a maze of streets with colourful houses overhanging the sea. Tilt at windmills at the top of the town, the landmark of Mykonos, where they used to grind wheat and make bread for the islanders, now a mini museum and some are even residencies. The Lighthouse of Mykonos is seven kilometres northeast of the town, and well worth a visit for the stunning sea views of the island of Tinos, and to watch the boats arriving and departing from the harbour. Who would have thought it, but Mykonos is home to the best Go-Kart track in Greece, open every day from April until November from 10 am until 2 am, which should keep them occupied all day. For those who prefer a more natural form of transport, they can mount a pony and go horseback riding in Ano Mera. If you want to venture further afield, a trip to the adjacent island of uninhabited Delos is a delight, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the birthplace of Zeus and Leto, Apollo and Artemis, cross the water by private charter or a shared tour for a fabulous family day out.
