You also have some fantastic beaches on your doorstep, as Avithos Beach and Ai Helis Beach are each just 1.5km away. Further afield you can drive out to Myrtos Beach which is the best on the island, or head to the capital of the island, the vibrant city of Argostoli.

Getting There
How to reach Kefalonia island
There are two ways to get to Kefalonia island: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: During the busy months, the airport of Kefalonia (EFL) receives a great number of domestic but also charter flights. The airport is located 7 km outside Argostoli, the capital of the island.
By ferry: Kefalonia has three ports: Sami (SMI), Argostoli (ARM), and Poros (PKE). If you want to arrive in Sami you should depart from Patra (GRA). In case you want to arrive to Poros or Argostoli you can depart from Killini (KIL). The trips last from 1.5 to 3 hours. Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Lakithras is a wonderful base for a family break; with open-plan living areas and a vast garden with a private pool, you will have all you need during your holiday.
The house is well-located, with the nearest two beaches just 1.5km away. These are Avithos Beach and Ai Helis Beach, both long sandy beaches, perfect for a day of paddling in the sea and making sandcastles with the kids. In between the beaches, you can also pay a visit to an enchanting cave.
For a day trip, why not drive over to the island’s capital Argostoli which is 10km away and packed with historic attractions and souvenir shops.
