Located in the charming village of Skouloufia, just 17km from the popular town of Rethymno, this modern holiday villa is perfect for exploring the historical sites and beautiful beaches of Crete. The property boasts picturesque views of the island and an ideal outlook for enjoying the sunsets each evening, whilst sipping a glass of chilled wine on the terrace and spending some quality time with your loved ones.
The living areas are spread over two spacious floors, with the ground floor offering a fabulous, open-plan living area, with patio doors opening out to the sunny terrace, providing the perfect atmosphere for entertaining.
The lounge is modern and stylish, with a double height ceiling and windows, allowing sunlight to flood in and flow throughout the property, creating a truly special, relaxing atmosphere. The well-equipped kitchen also has bright windows, providing light all-round the day into the villa whilst also giving a lovely view out to the swimming pool, ideal for keeping an eye on children, whilst the nominated chef prepares some delicious meals! There is also a sociable dining area, handily located next to the kitchen for your ease.
Throughout the villa, there are three good-sized bedrooms, with one double and two twin rooms. Each of these spacious rooms boasts a private bathroom, air-conditioning and a television, perfect for those private moments you want to yourself.
Outside, the charming location of the villa offers a private outlook and space for you to spread out and relax without the worry of being too overlooked. The fabulous private pool takes central place on the terrace, perfect for cooling off on hot summer days. There is a large dining table and chairs, with a popular barbecue so you can enjoy the al-fresco lifestyle throughout each day of your holiday. Surrounded by luscious trees, you can easily find moments of shade under the dappled light of the treetops, taking a break from the hot Cretan sunshine. This contemporary villa offers something for everyone, a perfect base for an unforgettable holiday experience.

About the surrounding area of Skouloufia Villas 3Situated on the north coast of Crete and 17 km away from Rethymno, the third largest town of the island, the historic village of Skouloufia is located almost equal distance of the international airports of Chania (CHQ) and Heraklion (HER).
This charming village is surrounded by nature paths, perfect for exploring the stunning scenery of Cretem and the long sandy beach of Stavromenos is just 7km away.
Rethymno itself is a beautiful town, with bustling shops and restaurants, as well as a picturesque beach. You’ll find the renowned Venetian Harbour filled with coloured fishing boats and lined with tavernas, bars and restaurants. Look out for places serving freshly-caught seafood or classic Greek dishes like souvlaki (tender cuts of meat) and moussaka.
The Sacred Monastery of Arkadi is closely connected to the village of Skouloufia, located about a 15-minute drive from the villa. This holy spot is a peaceful oasis of golden stone buildings and flower-filled courtyards. From here, you can walk through fields and meadows to the village of Pikris and stop for lunch.
Melidoni Cave is also a must visit; a place of stunning, natural beauty and great historical interest. This ancient, beautiful and decidedly spooky cave with its terrible history is well worth exploring, full of stalactites and a small alter that speaks eerily of the past. The entry cost is very affordable, ideal for an afternoon trip.
The ancient town of Elefterna and its brand new museum, is also located just 3 km away. In this way Skouloufia offers the perfect base for exploring this ever-fascinating island of Crete.
