Located in Rethymno on the south of the island of Crete, this tranquil villa is ideal for a family or group of four seeking their own private pool but can also be rented as an entire complex which sleeps 12 guests.

Comprised of four semi-detached studios, this is a wonderful way to enjoy privacy in a more communal sense. You have your own space, and your own pool, but there are neighbours. A spacious complex, a feeling of easy luxury is generated here. The build is relatively new, having been built in 2017 and is up to date and fully compliant with quality and safety requirements making it ideal for those seeking security, reassurance and comfort.

A mere five to ten minutes walk will take you to the nearest beach and the village of Agia Galini. You’ll be able to enjoy the south coast of Crete which is renowned for its tranquillity and authenticity. As the southernmost island of Greece, you can enjoy blissfully warm weather and a gentle and relaxed atmosphere that captivates many.

Quaint and cosy, the property will ensure that you ease into the Greek way of life immediately. The studios are ensconced in stone ensuring your privacy and granting you views of the rugged terrain beyond. Steps beckon you into the heated pool or you can enjoy the surrounding sun beds with a book or cooling beverage. At the base of the pool, you’ll find a shaded outdoor area with everything you need to bed in and feel cosy – a table, cushions and mats and an extended seating area with views of the wilderness, a really special place to watch the sun rise or set depending on your preference!

The property is classic in this area – a blocky white structure that stands out strikingly from the surrounding browns and greens. Well-lit by night, you can watch your property glow from a distance if you’re on your way back from a walk or the beach. The ambience is calming and easy with subtle decorations and plenty of comforts. The colour scheme is light and airy with an occasional pop of colour. The bedrooms dazzle with simple elegance and offer you a balcony where you can sit and watch the world go by.

You can make the most of the self-catering option here and hang out in the lounge and make use of the open-plan kitchen. Al fresco eating simply must be done here as you partake in indulgent Greek dishes. With an outdoor BBQ, many moments will be made outside and you can also enjoy a quiet lunch on your private terrace.

So, who is this property designed for? A guest who wants to rest, rejuvenate, relax and value privacy, luxury and beautiful surroundings. If that description fits you, then Galini Breeze may be just what you’re looking for. Magic can be made here.

The property welcomes guests of ages 12+ for sole booking of the whole complex or requests for the two bedroomed property only adults of 21years +; This allows the property to retain its atmosphere of calm soothing hospitality and cements its status as a haven away from the woes of the wider world.

Located in Rethymno, Crete, you’re situated in an absolutely gorgeous location on Greek’s southernmost island. There’s something evocative about the Greek islands – they promise gorgeous weather, beautiful blue seas, warmth in both weather and the locals and indulgent, healthy food. It’s a place where adventure and ease blend perfectly like a carefully concocted cocktail.

Rethymno itself is a stunning Venetian town located between Chania and Heraklion. You’re lapped by the Mediterranean Sea whilst also being at the foothills of the looming White Mountains. As the largest of the Greek islands, Crete makes for an ideal holiday destination.

The area is very Greek but there are hints toward the areas Italian and Turkish heritage here. The town itself is a maze of pretty alleyways peppered with bougainvillaea. Here you’ll find endless cafes, shops and restaurants where she can enjoy Cretan delicacies. With an ancient but mellow feel, you’ll find romantic hidden courtyards, stone walls, beguiling churches and plenty of contemporary fun too. One of the area's most striking features is the Fortezza, a walled Venetian fortress overlooking the bustle of the town and is a wonderful spot to seek out at sunset.
In Petychaki Square you’ll find the Rimondi fountain which serves as an excellent central meeting point.

For vibrancy and colour, the Venetian Harbour is a perfect spot for people-watching. Here you’ll find rainbow-coloured fishing boats and a piercing lighthouse. You can enjoy a multitude of freshly caught fish here. The Old Town is a must-see if you have a penchant for a taste of the old world with its colourful doors and ornate windows.
The nearby Mili Gorge which is best travelled to by car or bus is the ideal place for a hike in the Cretan nature. Take in the scent of citrus trees and the charm of olive groves as you pass quaint churches and a local tavern. It’s well worth stopping here for a drink. You can sample olive oil or go wine tasting. Of course, a huge pull is a food in the area and you must try the local delicacies such as the signature cheese of the area, fried snails and yummy Cretan cheese pies. Greece is renowned for its meze allowing you to sample many divine dishes. Just don’t fill up on the bread and balsamic!

The sleepy allure of the area can be punctuated with water sports (why not try sailing, jet-skiing or paragliding?) or you can explore the water with a snorkel and goggles or simply luxuriate in the beautiful blue. Being a large island there’s much to explore on Crete itself but you may wish to take a day trip to Santorini, renowned for its blue-domed buildings, or the Gramvoussa Island and Balos lagoon.
The monastery of Arkadi is a beautiful building for those with a penchant for the history of the area and if you’re musically inclined, head to the Lyra workshop. For a taste of something elite, the Baja Beach Club makes a great spot for dinner or a drink or you can escape into nature at the Biotopoi Nature Park where you can see beguiling butterflies and native creatures and plants.

If you enjoy a hike the views from Mount Ida are well worth it – just make sure you leave early and avoid the dead heat of the day. Be sure to head to Chania and Heraklion and enjoy the paradise of beach life. The island of Crete welcomes you.
