The first boasts a queen-sized bed, satellite TV, AC and direct access to the pool area. The second bedroom features twin single beds (convertible to a double). The rooms share a communal bathroom with a shower and washing machine.
Ascending the stairs to the top floor reveals the spacious master bedroom, adorned with a plush queen-size bed, lounge area (including sofa bed fit for two guests), dedicated workstation, and an ensuite bathroom with shower. Better yet, the room boasts its own private balcony with a coffee table and seating for 2 to enjoy breathtaking views of the coastline.

About the surrounding area of Villa ArcadiaSurrounded by the lush greenery of the garden and panoramic sea views, Villa Arcadia is well-situated a short distance from Chania (12-minute drive) in a Cretan village centred around a protected cove and sandy beach (5-minute drive). The beach is ideal for relaxation and families thanks to its golden sand, clear water, and protection from the elements thanks to a chapel-topped peninsula. Perfect for open-water swimming thanks to its waveless calm, the beach also boasts sunbeds and a number of restaurants and bars. What is more, thanks to the villa’s location on Chania’s outskirts, there are a host of amenities within a short distance, including restaurants, cafes and bakeries, mini markets and supermarkets close at hand.
For a lively spot to swim and socialise, the quaint village of Platanias (a 9-minute drive) offers everything you could need for your vacation: a long beach, a variety of restaurants and bars with a vivid nightlife, and in the old village (Upper Platanias) many points of cultural and historical significance.
Chania itself is one of Crete’s two main cities. Walk through the old port’s picturesque alleys and historic neighbourhoods, stroll along to its 16th-century lighthouse and indulge yourself in the irresistible Cretan atmosphere and cuisine.
Crete is a fantastic place for hiking, perhaps most notably in the Samaria Gorge where you’ll find the deserted village of Samaria along with breath-taking natural landscapes and a wide range of flora and fauna including the rare species of wild goat known as the kri-kri.

How to reach Chania
There are two ways to reach Chania: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: Chania Airport (CHQ) is only a 20 minutes ride away from central Chania. During the summer months, frequents overseas and domestic flights are performed. In most of the cases, there are available buses that connect Chania city and most of the villas. You can also hire a car from one of the many rental companies at the airport, or alternatively get a taxi to bring you right to your doorstep.
By ferry: If you choose to do an island-hopping trip and use the ferry as a method of transportation, then the closest port is in Souda, only 8km from the centre of Chania. Only ferries from Piraeus in Athens or Heraklion in Crete. Heraklion port has a wider choice: you can also take a ferry from other Greek islands like Santorini, Mykonos or Paros, but you will have to take a longer bus ride to reach your villa. Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesHorse riding at Deres Village (25-minute drive) is a fantastic option for kids of all ages. The company runs tours for riders of all levels of experience and what each tour has in common is stunning scenery as you climb through olive groves and gaze down through deep valleys and the open expanse of sea beyond.
If you’re looking to mix a bit of education into your children’s holiday experience there is no shortage of fantastic museums and sights, including the Archaeological Museum of Chania (20-minute drive) and the Maritime Museum of Chania.
Or if natural history is more to the children’s liking, a short drive to the village of Ano Vouves (22-minute drive) provides the opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the oldest olive trees in the world. Though the tree’s exact age is unknown, conservative estimates place its age at over 2,000 years, while scientists from the University of Crete have estimated it to be as old as 4,000 years. What is more, the tree remains productive to this very day.
