Walk to Village All Bedrooms En-Suite Parking Space

Maison Tessa is a beautiful house with a heated swimming pool, located in the picture-perfect village of Eygalières. How lovely to be able to easily stroll to Café de la Place and join locals for a coffee or glass of local wine.

You may even spot an A-list celebrity who have bought houses in this authentic and pretty village. Eygalières is known for its relaxed vibe alongside inviting little shops, weekly market, tree-lined lanes with café terraces and some wonderful restaurants from simple bistros to fine-dining establishments. Walk to the very top of the village for gorgeous views of Les Alpilles.

Back to this graceful house, Maison Tessa sleeps up to 6 guests across its three air-conditioned en suite bedrooms, one on the ground floor with a king-size double, TV and doors opening out to the garden, plus a twin and a queen-size double upstairs. Beneath the wood beams there is a delightful lounge and kitchen-diner both with fine furnishings and charming décor.

The garden is perfect for al-fresco meals in the shade of the covered terrace or lazy days relaxing by the heated swimming pool surrounded by agapanthuses, roses, olive trees and other sights of Provence. Considering its village setting, it feels like such a privilege to have this attractive outdoor space.

Beyond idyllic Eygalières, there is so much to explore across Les Alpilles. Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, only 12km away, is home to cobbled lanes, art galleries, a Van Gogh trail and a vibrant Wednesday morning market showcasing all sorts of Provençal delights. Les Baux-de-Provence, one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ can be reached in half an hour, passing incredible landscapes of olive groves, wooded hills and limestone cliffs, whilst Maussane-les-Alpilles is a gorgeous place for lunch on the village square.

Then there’s historic Avignon, the antiques and waterways of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the natural beauty of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and the iconic perched villages of the Luberon with Gordes, Ménerbes and Bonnieux just a 45-minute drive from your elegant holiday home.

Maison Tessa is in the beautiful village of Eygalières, part of Les Alpilles Natural Regional Park in the Bouches-du-Rhône department of southern France, only 12km from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. As well as admiring the villages and landscapes of Les Alpilles, it is a great base for visiting Avignon, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the Luberon and beyond.

The villa is part of a collection of three houses with a shared entrance gate – just stroll to the village and within a couple of minutes you could be sitting with a coffee or glass of local wine at Café de la Place where locals gather. It’s a joy to wander around Eygalières with its inviting restaurants (from authentic to high-end), charming shops and tree-lined lanes with café terraces. Les Alpilles region also offers opportunities for hiking, rock-climbing and horse-riding whilst canoeing and kayaking enthusiasts should head to the Sorgue River near Fontaine-de-Vaucluse (30km).

Maussane-les-Alpilles (17km) hosts a lovely market on a Thursday morning, not far from Rick Stein’s beloved Le Bistrot du Paradou (19km). You are also well placed for visiting the Luberon – some of its iconic perched villages such as Gordes, Ménerbes and Bonnieux can be reached within a 45-minute drive.

Meanwhile, discover the Sunday morning brocante in the picturesque town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (25km), known for its waterways and antiques, admire the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Avignon (33km) or venture south-west towards artistic Arles (37km), the gateway to the captivating Camargue.
