Book Now & Grow Green: 3 Trees Planted with Every Booking!

This Earth Day, join our mission to plant 3 trees for every booking made between April 22nd - 28th, 2024. Let's make a sustainable impact together! Learn more about our journey here >>

In large enclosed gardens with cypresses, olive trees and summer lavender alongside a private swimming pool, Maison Soho is an inviting holiday villa located only 1.5km from the charming town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.

The open plan living and dining space is bathed with light from the arched French windows leading to the gorgeous garden. A blend of traditional and contemporary furnishings adds to the villa’s characterful yet comfortable ambience and a modern kitchen gives guests everything they could need to prepare feasts for family or friends.

Retreat to one of the four bedrooms, each simply yet gracefully styled with pretty touches throughout. Upstairs, the master suite has its own bathroom with an Italian shower and bath tub, two first-floor bedrooms share a modern shower room whilst downstairs there is another en suite bedroom allowing Maison Soho to comfortably sleep up to 9 guests.

Outside there is ample space across the private garden which is full of Provençal charm; relax beside the swimming pool or dine in the shade of the al-fresco terrace. Yet beyond the vast grounds there is so much to explore across the wonderful landscapes of Les Alpilles Regional Natural Park.

Start off in Saint-Rémy, only a 5-minute drive away, with its restaurants, cafes, art galleries and Wednesday morning market which is not to be missed. Then there’s picture-perfect villages including Les Baux-de-Provence and Eygalières as well as pretty places to stop off for a leisurely lunch such as Paradou and Maussane-les-Alpilles, surrounded by endless olive groves. Walking, hiking, cycling and horse-riding are all great ways to admire the beautiful scenery in this part of Provence.

Slightly further afield, follow Van Gogh’s footsteps in Arles, be mesmerised by the Camargue, drive to idyllic perched villages across the Luberon and peruse the famous markets in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites of nearby Avignon or spend the day in Nîmes with its amazingly preserved Roman ruins, perhaps combined with a picnic and canoe trip by the impressive Pont du Gard.

Maison Soho is 1.5km north of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in the Bouches-du-Rhône department of Provence, ideally located for visiting Avignon, Nimes and the beautiful Alpilles Regional Natural Park.

Located in a semi-residential area, you are only a five-minute drive from Saint-Rémy, one of Provence’s most loved towns, famed for its associations with Vincent Van Gogh who painted some of his masterpieces whilst staying at Saint-Paul de Mausole. Potter around the cobbled lanes of Saint-Rémy, follow the Van Gogh art trail, pop into galleries and admire the work of the many resident artists in the town today. As well as a range of excellent restaurants and charming cafes, don’t miss the atmospheric Wednesday morning market which attracts visitors from across the region.

Les Alpilles Regional Natural Park is wonderful for keen walkers, cyclists, horse-riding enthusiasts and hikers with its woodland, vines, olive groves and rich rural heritage. Visit picture-perfect villages such as Les Baux-de-Provence (12km) and Eygalières (13km), try olive oil in Maussane-les-Alpilles (12km) and dine out in wonderful restaurants from authentic bistros to Michelin starred establishments.

To the south-west, spend time in Arles (28km) with its rich history and artistic vibe or continue further to discover the mesmerising landscapes of the Camargue. Further north, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is another superb day out with its water-ways and antique stores, especially on a Sunday as the town hosts the region’s most famous brocante.

The Luberon will also captivate you with its gorgeous scenery. Visit vineyards, orchards, pretty market towns and idyllic perched villages such as Gordes, Ménerbes or Lourmarin, all reached within an hour by car.

History and food lovers alike will adore the small city of Avignon, home to bustling markets, inviting wine bars and two UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Palais des Papes and Pont d'Avignon. Crossing over to the Gard department, Nîmes (46km) is a gem of southern France with its fascinating Roman sites whilst Pont du Gard (40km), another UNESCO World Heritage site, is a fantastic spot for riverside picnics and canoeing in spectacular surroundings.

Les Alpilles Regional Natural Park offers a variety of activities for families with children of every age. Look out for lovely walks, horse-riding, pony-trekking and rock-climbing as well as so many historic villages and towns across this part of Provence.

Art lovers can follow the Van Gogh trails around Saint-Rémy or Arles and learn more about the artist’s life at Saint-Paul de Mausole or at Arles’ Fondation Vincent van Gogh. A short drive south, close to Les Baux-de-Provence, head to Carrières de Lumières to see artwork projected on quarry walls accompanied by a light and sound show.

If visiting Avignon with youngsters, take a trip on the tourist road train that tours the city whilst older children may prefer to hire bikes and cycle over the bridge to the large river island, île de la Barthelasse, where you will find picturesque cycling trails by the river.

There are canoeing and kayaking opportunities at Pont du Gard and along the Sorgue River between Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The beautiful Fontaine-de-Vaucluse is also home to a tree-top adventure centre with trails suitable for a range of ages/heights.
