In a picturesque setting around 2km from the heart of Saint-Tropez, Villa Brise Marine enjoys glorious Mediterranean views from its lounge, garden and swimming pool.

This single-storey villa is ideal for relaxing holidays on the French Riviera with family or friends. The vast open-plan living and dining space opens out to the decked terrace with magnificent sea vistas and there is a stylish open-plan kitchen leading to the outdoor dining area for al-fresco meals.

This inviting air-conditioned abode sleeps up to 12 guests across six bedrooms (four doubles, mostly with king-size beds, and two twins) each with a modern en suite bath or shower room. With attractive, simple décor and some bedrooms with access to the poolside terrace, guests can be assured of a restful time.

Outside, the swimming pool sits in the verdant garden surrounded by palm trees, pines and an ancient olive tree alongside agapanthuses and other colourful flowers to add to the Mediterranean ambience. It really does feel quite idyllic as you gaze out towards the bay of Saint-Tropez.

Set just off the road leading to Saint-Tropez, you can walk to a small bay which is popular with the locals and usually less crowded than some of Saint-Tropez’ other popular beaches. You may prefer the long sandy shores, exclusive beach clubs and summer watersports at Plage de Pampelonne, reached in around 10 minutes by car.

Saint-Tropez is without doubt a joy to experience whether pottering around its historic cobbled lanes, admiring luxury yachts in the marina or soaking up the atmosphere of the twice-weekly Provençal market. Then there’s the charm of picture-perfect villages such as Grimaud, Gassin and Ramatuelle, alongside the summer ambience of Port Grimaud, known as the ‘little Venice of Provence’.

Discover yet more beauty of the Côte d’Azur as you tour the coast by boat or catch a ferry towards Sainte-Maxime and beyond. Return to your contemporary Saint-Tropez holiday home for a glass of wine on the terrace (perhaps from La Croix Valmer’s vineyards) and enjoy that spectacular French Riviera view.

Villa Brise Marine is just outside the heart of Saint-Tropez, within walking distance to a little beach with views towards Sainte-Maxime and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.

Just set back from the road leading to Saint-Tropez, you can reach one of the French Riviera’s most popular destinations in around 2km. Be enchanted by the former fishing village’s undeniable charm alongside its glamourous ambience with chic boutiques,  high-end restaurants and luxury yachts in its historic harbour. Make the most of boat trips from leisurely day excursions to sunset cruises or take a ferry across the bay towards Port Grimaud, Sainte-Maxime and beyond.

Stretching nearly 5km along the Mediterranean coast, Plage de Pampelonne (6km) is one of Saint Tropez’ most iconic beaches thanks to its sandy shores, exclusive beach clubs and summer watersports. The pristine beaches and azure-coloured water around Plage de Gigaro (19km) are also waiting to be admired, perhaps combined with a visit to one of La Croix Valmer’s beautiful vineyards.

Picture-perfect villages along this part of the French Riviera include flower-filled Ramatuelle (11km), hilltop Gassin (10km) and enchanting Grimaud (14km), all enjoying a wealth of charm and glorious vistas of the bay. Port Grimaud is another lovely place to discover with its canals, colourful houses and waterfront restaurants – explore by boat or visit in the summer when the weekly evening market takes place.

There is so much to keep families entertained in and around Saint-Tropez. Beach and watersport enthusiasts will adore Plage de Pampelonne (6.5km), just over a 10-minute drive away (depending on which part of the long beach you head for).

Alongside exclusive beach clubs and restaurants, there is a range of watersports including paddle-boarding, sea-kayaking, pedalo hire and jet-ski. The long sandy shores are popular with families, especially in the height of the summer.

There are other little bays dotted around Saint-Tropez, including the small beach within walking distance with lovely views over the gulf. Further afield, find other idyllic beaches around Plage de Gigaro, Cavalaire-sur-Mer and Sainte-Maxime, all around half an hour away by car (you could catch a ferry to Sainte-Maxime from Saint-Tropez).

Family attractions in the Sainte-Maxime, Grimaud and Cogolin area include tree-top adventure trails, mini-golf, waterparks, go-karting and summer fun fairs. Horse-riding is popular here as well as beautiful walks by the coast or through the chestnut and oak forests of the Côte d’Azur hinterland.

It is also worth noting that both Sainte-Maxime (17km) and Cavalaire-sur-Mer (20km) have earned the ‘Famille Plus’ designation making them both great seaside resorts to visit with your family.
