It’s hard to choose the greatest attraction of this sophisticated villa – is it the incredible open-plan living space with its Italian designer kitchen, its luxurious jacuzzi and heated swimming pool surrounded by summer flowers or the most spectacular views towards the glistening French Riviera?
In the heart of the Côte d'Azur’s beautiful hinterland, Villa Palmier proudly sits in an elevated position between Grasse and Le Bar-sur-Loup, making the most of glorious vistas from across this stunning home. The striking arched window in the inviting living area perfectly frames the landscapes of woodland, rolling hills and the distant coastline, as does the elegant conservatory by the grand palm tree and pretty gardens.
Follow the steps up to the jacuzzi terrace and idyllic swimming pool, passing delicate pink roses and gorgeous agapanthuses, and relax by the shady pool house with its outdoor kitchen and yet more panoramic views. The gardens are a complete joy with olive trees, vines and bougainvillea across the terraces and lawns, leading all the way down to the tennis court for guests to use.
Recently renovated to a beautiful standard, Villa Palmier features state-of-the-art facilities in its smart Italian kitchen such as a steam oven, wine fridge and integrated espresso machine. You can also expect Wi-Fi throughout the home, a Smart TV and air-conditioning across the main and upper floors.
It’s a wonderful villa for al-fresco dining in the glorious grounds or you can wander down to a local restaurant in just a few minutes. There are more places to eat within walking distance, as well as a handful of shops and a fantastic weekly market in the local village, only 1.5km away. Hop in your car and within a ten-minute drive you could be in Grasse, Le Bar-sur-Loup or Opio, all incredibly charming places to spend some time.
The market town of Valbonne, enchanting Mougins and perched villages such as Cabris, Spéracèdes and Gourdon are all close by, as are wonderful walking trails, horse-riding opportunities and many golf courses.
By contrast, glamourous Cannes is only 23km away - soak up the ambience strolling along La Croisette, laze on sandy beaches, try out many different types of watersports or hire a yacht and skipper for a cruise along this magnificent part of southern France.
What you should know…
- Two of the bedrooms can be found in the ‘garden level’ with its own entrance
- The main floor and first floor feature air-conditioning but not the garden level (fans are provided in the two lower bedrooms)
- The fourth bathroom is a shower and WC in the pool house towards the top of the grounds
- There are lots of steps and terraced levels across the villa and its beautiful grounds (small children will need to be supervised)

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa PalmierMake the most of the incredible Côte d'Azur views from the hillside setting of Villa Palmier, only 5km from Grasse and just over half an hour from Cannes and the French Riviera.
You also have the advantage of being able to stroll out to a handful of restaurants close by (as long as you don’t mind the walk back up the hill) whilst the local village, with more restaurants and a variety of shops, is just 1.5km away. The Monday morning market in the main square of the village is not to be missed – a great way to pick up some wonderful local products.
This is an ideal location for exploring so many idyllic towns and hilltop villages across this part of the Alpes-Maritimes. Visit the olive oil mill in lovely Opio (4km) and explore the pretty and unique town of Valbonne (8km), home to another fantastic market on a Friday morning at the grand Place des Arcades.
Grasse (5km) is another gem of this region with its delightful winding lanes, pretty squares and little flower market. There are many authentic restaurants and visitors also flock to Grasse’s perfumeries and museums.
The perched villages of Cabris (12km) and Tourrettes-sur-Loup (13km) also host weekly markets or drive south to wander around the flower-filled village of Mougins, famous for its art and high-end cuisine.
Within just over half an hour you can be enjoying the ambience of La Croisette in Cannes (13km) or sunbathing on one of its many marvellous beaches. Explore the charming historic quarter, Le Suquet, and visit one of Cannes’ two covered markets before trying out some watersports or taking a boat excursion along the coast.
Antibes (26km) also has an enchanting old quarter to explore, home to a Picasso museum, then enjoy a lively meal in atmospheric Juan-Les-Pins. There are of course more glorious beaches and some lovely coastal walks around this area or drive further towards Nice (32km) and beyond for picture-perfect seaside towns and stunning scenery.
The Valmasque forests are wonderful for walking with an especially scenic trail between Valbonne and Biot or drive further inland for rock-pools, waterfalls, hiking and other adventurous activities around Gourdon and the Gorges du Loup, both around a 15-minute drive away.
This region is well known for its abundance of golf-courses from Golf Grande Bastide and Golf Opio Valbonne nearby to Royal Mougins Golf Resort and Cannes Mougins Golf Country Club just a little further, to name just a few.

Best Suited For: All AgesWith the beaches of the French Riviera not far away and stunning countryside landscapes so near, this is a fantastic destination for families with a great variety of activities.
Close to Grasse you will find go-karting and paint-balling as well as the Riviera Nature adventure park up in the hills, just a few minutes away. The perfume factories and museums of Grasse may also appeal to some of our younger guests.
Find lakeside beaches, summer watersports and a number of adventurous activities at Lac de Saint-Cassien – perfect whether you fancy canoeing, wind-surfing or just a picnic by the lake followed by a paddle-boat.
Cannes offers a wealth of things to do for all ages, not just all the watersports and glorious beaches on offer but also play areas, beach volleyball and a number of boat excursions, including a ferry to the beautiful Îles de Lérins.
The area around Antibes and Cagnes-sur-Mer also offers many attractions for families, especially in the height of the summer with waterparks and evening fairgrounds. There’s a theme park, Le Bois Des Lutins, close to Villeneuve-Loubet as well as an adventure tree-top activity centre. Discover some of the lovely beaches around this area too.
The Valmasque forest, close to Valbonne and Biot, is a great spot for family walks - come across shady picnic and play areas as you wander around the wonderful woodland.

We loved our stay!
We had a fantastic stay in Lone’s villa. We were two families, 8 in total, but it never feels crowded. You have so much space with beautiful landscaped garden or the lounge areas, the large bedrooms you choose when you are social. You immediately feel at home here. We were exploring a lot, which worked out so well as the villa was perfectly situated for our trips to St. Paul, Valbonne, Nice and Cannes. We loved our stay !

Amazing villa and garden
What an amazing villa and garden. Everything is thought through and the house is so well equipped.
The villa and garden were spotless, and we enjoyed our time here so much. The tennis court is a big plus as well. But also, the high quality of the beds and that you can close completely down for the night was so wonderful. The decor and the furniture are beautiful. The views, the pool, the pool house and garden including the vegetable garden … everything we enjoyed!! We loved the property. We can’t wait to come back. -

A fabulous stay
We had a fabulous stay. The house was practical and comfortable. The view was amazing and the pool perfect. The small vegetable garden was a little extra, as was the pétanque court. The calm of the neighborhood was an asset for our family. The responsiveness when we had questions was greatly appreciated.
