Pool Villa/House Beach Nearby Ideal for Kids Hot Tub Laptop Friendly Workspace

Villa Maje is a striking holiday home overlooking the twinkling Mediterranean coastline, inviting you to unwind in maximum comfort and style. The holiday home is fantastically positioned only a 15-minute drive from Cannes, in southern France’s prestigious Côte d'Azur region.

Perched on the hillside overlooking the Cap d’Antibes and nestled among other holiday properties, the abode makes for the ideal base for exploring not just Cannes but also places such as Nice, Saint Tropez, Théoule-sur-Mer and Cagnes-sur-Mer.

Inside, the villa is modern and minimalist yet homey, with a colour scheme inspired by the twinkling ocean nearby. White walls and neutral-hued décor in shades of grey and pale brown are offset by cobalt blue elements, creating a soothing palette for the eye. On the ground floor, you can find a fully equipped kitchen and bright living room, with plenty of space for socialising at any time of the day. The large windows leading to the terraces in both bedrooms and common areas allow guests to soak in France’s famed sunshine. Each bedroom benefits from an en-suite bathroom for absolute privacy and comfort, while a hidden cinema room can be found on the lower ground floor – perfect for unwinding in front of your favourite movie after a long day spent at the beach.

The outside grounds present a low-key hangout that puts wellness and relaxation at the forefront of everything. Here you can find a large swimming pool framed by a terrace decked out with sun loungers and parasols, as well as a hot tub.

When you’re ready to explore, Cannes is within easy reach – a city well known for its glitzy presence and the home to the famous Cannes International Film Festival. Here you can explore a first-class dining scene, stroll the pretty streets and indulge in some retail therapy as there are plenty of designer boutiques around. Don’t skip the stunning port, promenade and street market selling local produce.

Antibes, with an old town enclosed by 16th-century ramparts overlooking the Port Vauban marina, is home to some of the most thrilling beaches on this coast and is fantastic for a day trip spent exploring its past, visiting museums and shopping for local produce such as jams and cheeses.

Sitting next to flashy Cannes and St Tropez, Nice is also just a short drive away – and with its host of attractions, it’s easy to spend an entire day there touring the sights, kicking back at one of its pebbly beaches or enjoying a meal and an aperitif in one of its many restaurants and bars.

The Côte d'Azur attracts holiday-makers with its abundance of beaches dotted along the sweeping coastline, sunny climate, incredible nature, medieval villages and of course prominent cities such as Nice, Antibes and Cannes, to name few.

There are many things to see and places to explore just outside the villa, such as Parc du Paradou – a city park with trees and a spectacular view of the ocean and natural vistas. Then there’s also the imposing Château Robert Hansen castle and many walking and hiking trails that take you to lookouts such as the L'observatoire de Super-Cannes, an abandoned observatory with breathtaking views of the city and the coast.

Cannes is just a 15-minute drive away and it attracts crowds from all around the world to visit its exclusive bars, restaurants and beach clubs. Its glitzy character is well balanced by an abundance of parks such as the Parc naturel forestier de la Croix des Gardes, overlooking the city, bay and surrounding peaks. On a sunny day, you can walk to the port Vieux Port de Cannes and the Boulevard de la Croisette promenade to admire flashy yachts before heading to the food market Marché Forville to stock up on yummy souvenirs and taste the local cuisine – notably rue du Bateguier has a great concentration of lively restaurants of varying quality.

Luckily, you don’t have to drive far when you get hungry – the closest supermarket is 3.5km away by car, and while Cannes has an amazing array of restaurants, the closest one is also only 3.5km from the villa.

Antibes can be reached in just 20 minutes by car, and this resort town is popular with history buffs and Pablo Picasso fans, thanks to being one of the artist’s late residences. Sunny days can be spent walking around the centuries-old neighbourhood full of winding paths and cobbled streets in the old town enclosed by 16th-century ramparts with the star-shaped Fort Carré. Many of the city’s popular tourist sites can be found in the area called Vieille Ville, including the Cathedral Notre-Dame and the Musée Picasso, showcasing some of the artist’s work.

In just 30 minutes by car, you can be exploring Nice, one of the bigger cities located nearby. It boasts an array of wonderful museums and galleries alongside top-notch restaurants, sandy beaches and leafy parks. As you walk around, you’ll find many stalls selling local produce such as cheeses, baguettes and homemade chutneys, so make sure to stock up on souvenirs here. Some of the city’s most notable sights include the byzantine-style palace Cathédrale Saint-Nicolas de Nice and the Gothic church Basilique Notre-Dame de l’Assomption. After a long day, the best way to unwind is walking along the bustling Promenade des Anglais and ending your afternoon with a refreshing dip in the Mediterranean sea.

Keep tabs on the little ones from the comfort of sun a lounger at one of the nearby beaches. Luckily, the nearest beach, Plage Du Soleil, is only 3.5km from the villa and offers plenty of room for the entire family to have a picnic and cool down. It  is backed by a strip of restaurants and ice cream shops, perfect when the sun gets too strong.

If you want to venture into nature in the nearby area, there are also plenty of hiking and walking trails suitable for all levels. Parc du Paradou is right at your doorstep and this wooded landscape is ideal for wholesome strolls. More parks and gardens can be found nearby, such as Étang, near a tiny lake.

Antibes is very popular with families thanks to the abundance of family-friendly beaches, restaurants and cafés, as well as museums and Aquasplash Antibes – a waterpark with 20 water rides and a lazy river. Another waterpark, Marineland, is located just outside of Cannes and hosts dolphin shows and sharks with a zoo nearby.

For an art-filled day, head to Nice to visit one of its many museums and have a lovely time with your family. Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nice is a fine-art museum in a 19th-century mansion with paintings by famous painters such as Monet, and sculptures by Rodin, while Villa Masséna Musée is an ode to Napoleon and Riviera art.
