Read more about Dordogne

Region

The pace of life in the Dordogne is languid, laid back and positively infectious. Relax in bucolic beauty as you drift along the Dordogne River, or wander among the forests and hillside of the Périgord Natural Park.

The foodie scene too, is a relaxed affair. Take your time over your lazy lunches of local duck, black truffles and goats cheese. If you’re feeling energetic, you can even hunt for them yourself. The wine here is second to none, with infamous grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chenin Blanc all having a huge presence here.

The Dordogne is also brimming with history. Castles and chateaux are scattered throughout the region, among the enchanting medieval villages. History of an altogether more ancient sort can also be explored in the incredible prehistoric cave drawings of Lascaux and Grotte de Rouffignac.

Reviews

  • Fantastic Villa

    on 16/09/2023

We really enjoyed this fantastic villa, Villa Delfour and the surrounding area. The house was very spacious and clean, everything was there, great swimming pool. Hélena is a lovely, sweet woman to welcome you upon arrival and departure.

I would like to thank you in advance for your organization and a good, clear website. Correct and fast refund of the deposit. Top!

    We will definitely come back

  • Even better than the pictures

    on 16/08/2023

Everything was in very good order. It was the first time I booked through you and I am very satisfied. How you do the communication and provide information in between is a plus point. Repayment of the deposit is also well arranged.

The holiday home itself was also in tip-top order and the hostess was also very friendly. Usually the pictures on the website look better than what it actually is but now I can say it was reversed. Everything was neat and tidy and it is very practical. I was there with my family and they would already book it again.

  • Sad to leave!

    on 30/06/2023

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Delfour, the property was pretty much perfect and we were very sad to leave and very likely to book again. Many thanks.

  • Beautiful!!

    Created on 28/04/2023

If you are looking for perfection in a beautiful setting and a beautiful city nearby, then you do not have to look any further, because you have found it with Villa Delfour. Haven't had such a nice holiday in about 20 years as last week (1st week of May 2023), so that says enough.

  • A great villa

    on 02/10/2022

What a nice holiday we had in the house Villa Delfour. The owner is a sweetheart and nothing is too much for her if you should need anything. What a beautiful house and everything is there, that was great.

We enjoyed the pool and the sun for the first week. The second week made trips and explored the area. Thanks to your information about the area, we were already reasonably aware of what to expect. We enjoyed it and will certainly look again for a holiday.

  • We had a lovely holiday

    on 16/06/2022

We have had a nice holiday. The house is pleasant and nicely decorated. The welcome was warm. A nice comfortable house with a nice large swimming pool that can be easily covered to maintain the temperature of the water and to keep the insects out of the water. Great location, beautiful surroundings, friendly owner.

  • We would highly recommend!

    on 22/05/2022

We have been back from France for a few days now. We enjoyed. A friendly welcome by the owner. It is a fantastic house with everything you could wish for in the kitchen. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms.

Everything was very neat and clean. We made frequent use of the beautiful pool, so we had beautiful weather. The garden was ideal for our dog, the fence was perfect.

    Highly recommended and worth repeating.
