Villa Janis sits in a beautiful location overlooking the sea. Situated on the island of Ciovo, just a short drive away from the UNESCO heritage town of Trogir, this location is perfect for those looking to enjoy some peace and quiet away from the hustle of tourist towns. The sea is just 50 meters away from your front door, making the decision between dipping in the heated pool or the crystal-clear sea the hardest of your holiday! The local beaches boast white-sandy shores, with boat trips heading out to explore the other nearby islands.
The villa itself is split over three floors, with an abundance of space for eight guests. The main living space is open-plan, with a warm, homely feel that you can settle into as a group, cooking, dining and lounging about together, whilst the natural light streams in through the windows.
A large sliding glass door leads the way out onto a spacious balcony with breath-taking views across the sparkling sea. There is a second dining room downstairs with a dramatic feature fireplace, perfect for special occasions and large group meals. You can light the fire and enjoy the intimate atmosphere even when you’re a large group.
Throughout the rest of the villa you will find three large double bedrooms. Each of the rooms offers comfy beds and plenty of storage for your belongings, as well as modern en-suite bathrooms. With fabulous murals on the walls behind the beds, each room feels unique, with boats and waves splashed across the walls, reminding you of the villa’s island setting.
Those who prefer a more active relaxation can enjoy the villa’s indoor gym, whilst those who prefer a more calm and tranquil relaxation can sit back on a sun lounger, gazing out to the sea and basking in the sun. A luxury jacuzzi has been built into the pool, easing the last of your worries as you sink down into the warm bubbling water. Villa Summer Breeze has something for everyone, an ideal balance of indoor and outdoor living, with a fabulous location for exploring this stunning part of Croatia.
What you should know…

About the surrounding area of Villa JanisVilla Summer Breeze is located on the island of Ciovo, with stunning views out across the sea. Positioned 50 meters from the sea, you can swim any time you desire, strolling down to the pebble shores, splashing in the sea and enjoying evenings on the beach.
The picturesque island is connected to the UNESCO heritage town of Trogir via a drawbridge, so from your peaceful, quiet setting you can quickly access the busier towns and bustling holiday atmosphere of Trogir.
The villa itself is located close to the small town of Arbanija and just a 15-minute drive from the charming streets of Trogir. Split city is also just an hour drive away, with an abundance of things to see and do, perfect for a fun, explorative day out during your holiday!
The closest beach to the villa is made up of small white pebbles, leading down into a beautifully blue sea, perfect for swimming. There are several restaurants offering a range of local and international cuisine, with something for every age group. On the other side of the island, the charming town of Okrug Gornji also offers plenty to keep you busy. Okrug beach is a favourite with both locals and tourists, nicknamed ‘Copacabana’ and offering you beautiful white-sandy shores to sunbathe and swim from. The beach is dotted with various local restaurants and bars, perfect for a quick bite to eat at lunch and an afternoon cocktail in the sun. Around the bay from Okrug Gornji, there is the beautiful Konoba Duga beach, ideal for peaceful moments away from the bustle of tourists. We would also recommend taking a boat trip to the nearby Islands of Fumilia or Solta, exploring hidden beaches and coves and taking in the beautiful views from a new angle.
Unlike other island settings, Ciovo is the perfect base for exploring the mainland as well, with a bridge leading the way over to Trogir and the other towns nearby. Trogir is characterised by its unique fusion of Romanesque and Renaissance architecture. With influences from the Ancient Greeks, the empires of Rome and Byzantium, the Ottomans and the Hapsburgs, the culture is rich and unique, with plenty of palaces, cathedrals and churches to explore, providing hours of activities. The local grappa is also a must try, or you could even buy a bottle to take home, recreating the Croatian atmosphere back home!

Kids can lounge on the sofas, whilst adults cook in the kitchen and gather around the dining table sharing a bottle of local grappa! With a cot and high chair available for your use, even the youngest will be kept happy and cosy, settling into the villa as though it is a second home. The other bedrooms boast large double beds, giving kids the chance to act like adults as they sink down into the cosy mattresses each evening, resting their weary eyes after busy days exploring the area.
The villa’s terrace is spacious and open, with the heated private swimming pool so the water is never too cold to jump in. Surrounded by sun loungers, adults can keep an easy eye on the young ones playing in the water, whilst still getting to relax themselves. The outdoor dining space and barbecue are particularly popular with families, with kids enjoying the novelty of dining outside and parents loving the private tranquil setting. With an open-plan layout in the main living space, the villa encourages families to enjoy quality time together, living in one room even when occupied with different things.
The island of Ciovo has plenty to keep kids busy, with the chance to swim, snorkel, dive and bounce along the waves on an abundance of water sports. Uvala Milicevo has become a hub for water sports in particular, perfect for a day full of adrenaline, entertaining energetic kids and adventurous adults alike! The local beaches offer a variety of sandy shores and pebble beaches, so kids can enjoy both, deciding which suits them better. The nearby restaurants also serve up a mix of local and international cuisine, so even the pickiest children will find something to enjoy when you eat out.
We highly recommend that you take kids out to explore the UNESCO heritage town of Trogir, accessed via a drawbridge from the island, providing excitement just by itself. The town is bursting with character and history, with plenty for kids to learn and sea as well as more beaches to enjoy. Boat trips to Drvenik and Solta are also a popular choice for families as well as a day trip to the stunning Krka National park, famous for its jaw-dropping waterfalls and beautiful walks, perfect for an inland adventure and a day away from the beaches.
