With idyllic green Istria on your doorstep and a treasure trove of coastal gems some ten kilometres away, Villa Livy is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing and rejuvenating retreat with your loved ones whilst soaking up the warm Croatian sunshine.

Azure skies will draw you outside to the villa’s peaceful terrace each morning, where you can begin your day with a refreshing dip in the private swimming pool before sipping a cup of freshly brewed coffee and unwinding on a poolside sun lounger. The verdant garden is excellent for family fun and games, while an outdoor shower gives you the option to cool off whenever you fancy taking a break from the sun. Later on, the covered outdoor dining area on the terrace is the ideal place to gather everyone for a delicious sunset barbecue. Afterwards, you can feel the day’s adventures melt away as you relax and watch the stars appear.

The ground floor of Villa Livy boasts a stylish living space with an open-plan layout and a restful ambience. The lounge area offers a sumptuous corner sofa, a flat-screen TV and a cosy fireplace, inviting guests to curl up and unwind after a day exploring Istria’s coastal wonders. A fully equipped kitchen features modern appliances and an island, while everyone can come together to discuss the day’s adventures over a home-cooked meal and a glass of excellent Istrian wine in the villa’s elegant dining area. The ground floor also features a welcoming double bedroom with a flat-screen TV, an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and direct access to the swimming pool. A separate WC is also located on the ground floor.

Located in Krančići, in the pretty Istrian village of Kaštelir, Villa Livy offers guests a peaceful location just fifteen kilometres away from the vibrant centre of the seaside town of Poreč. Surrounded by rolling olive groves and vineyards, Kaštelir offers visitors an authentic slice of Istrian life, with local restaurants and bars offering traditional dishes from the region. The numerous hiking and biking trails surrounding the village will enchant nature lovers, offering plenty of scenic spots for sunny afternoon picnics. For those who fancy a swim in the ocean, the beaches of Poreč are only a short drive away.

With a fascinating history dating back to Roman times, the Poreč of today is a bustling town with picturesque cobblestone streets, impressive historical landmarks and a lively atmosphere! Spend a sunny afternoon wandering through the old town, perched on a tiny peninsula and surrounded by stunning views of the turquoise Adriatic Sea. Here, history lovers will be captivated by a visit to the Euphrasian Basilica, the town’s most significant cultural monument and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Zuccato Palace is a Gothic palace with a beautifully preserved façade that houses a small gallery today. The palace is located on Decumanus Street, a famous street that provides an authentic glimpse into Istria’s colourful past thanks to its many historical sites. Today, Decumanus Street is also a popular shopping area, with plenty of independent boutiques and gift shops that sit alongside cute local cafes and traditional restaurants.

Only a fifteen-minute drive away from Kaštelir, the Baredine Cave offers something a little different for adventure-seeking visitors! Take a subterranean tour of this unique cave system some sixty metres below the ground, where you will witness stalactites, stalagmites and mesmerising underground lakes. Don’t forget to wear comfortable footwear and warm clothing before descending underground, where friendly and experienced guides will provide fascinating cave tours and an in-depth look at the history of this unique part of Istria.

After a morning spent exploring the region’s ancient caves, make your way to the sun-drenched Istrian coast to while away the afternoon. Roughly twenty-five minutes away from Kaštelir by car, Zelena Laguna Beach is one of Poreč’s most beautiful beaches, with warm, crystal-clear waters and secluded shores. Nearby Delfin Beach offers an array of water sports facilities for visitors to enjoy, including sea kayaks and jet ski rentals. The beach is surrounded by fragrant pine trees, which provide shade and seclusion. Meanwhile, the spectacular beaches on the island of St. Nicholas are only a ten-minute ferry journey from Poreč’s seafront promenade.

Hiking and biking enthusiasts will be delighted by Vrsar, a quaint fishing village that is home to several scenic trails along the coast. Forty minutes away from Kaštelir by car, Rovinj is a seaside town with a labyrinth of narrow streets and colourful architecture to discover. Or pack a picnic and head to the shores of Zelena Laguna, where everyone can spend the day dipping in and out of the warm, crystal-clear waters. Located near Brulo Beach, Aquacolors is a sprawling, family-friendly waterpark just outside Poreč that is hugely popular with visitors and locals alike during the summer months.

Intrepid explorers will love visiting the magical underground world of the Baredine Cave, where they can take in the wondrous sights of underground lakes and learn about the secret residents of this unique system of karst caves. End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Complimentary Wi-Fi internet access is included in rental price. It is good to note that the speed is dependent on the local provider and technical issues may cause reduced speed or cut of service.
Minimum stay 7 nights.
