Villa Janez is a stunning four-bedroom modern villa for up to ten guests, finished to an exceptional standard. Boasting a beautiful interior, private pool and spa, its facilities are second to none. Located just outside the wonderful historic fishing town of Rovinj, the villa is the perfect place for a Croatian adventure with your loved ones.

Entering the villa, you are immediately welcomed into the large open-plan kitchen and living area. This sociable space is perfect for groups to relax and unwind whilst cooking or dining. The stylish kitchen has all the equipment you need for some fantastic home cooking, including a large, modern fridge-freezer and espresso machine. Dividing the space between the kitchen and living space is the large dining table. Able to seat all guests, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy long meals into the night with your loved ones with a glass of the local wine. The living room is stunning in its décor, the modern art and furnishings really make Villa Janez stand out. The large and comfortable sofas invite you to relax and enjoy some television, or perhaps curl up and read in the beautiful surroundings. The spa completes the ground floor, featuring a private hot tub and sauna. It’s the perfect way to relax after a busy day exploring the region!

Following the modern staircase to the first floor, guests are greeted by four unique and large double bedrooms, all with en-suites. The master bedroom screams indulgence, with its coffee table and chairs, it offers a retreat within the house for some real privacy. The large bathroom is wonderfully styled and offers guests complete modern luxury. The master bedroom also has access to the balcony, which offers another lovely retreat to enjoy the fantastic Croatian weather. The remaining three bedrooms are similar in their high standard, with plenty of wardrobe space, so no need to pack light!

Outside the villa continues to wow, the private pool is perfect for cooling off from the heat of the day, lit during the evenings, it’s also ideal for a relaxing dip before dinner. The pool is framed by an outdoor terrace which offers plenty of space for the sun loungers and chair, allowing you to take in warm Croatian sun. Finally, the barbecue and outdoor dining table are perfect for some alfresco dining and really allow you to make the most of the beautiful private garden.

Rovinj is charming Venetian coastal town, originally established as a fishing town. The old town is just a 20-minute walk away and is a beautiful place to wander as you weave through iconic Venetian architecture and incredible marble roads. It is easy to lose yourself in such an incredible setting! There is an abundance of restaurants and cafes to choose from all around the town, but the marina offers beautiful sea views and a glimpse of the old town as you enjoy the catch of the day and a cool glass a wine.
 
If you're seeking quiet shores, be sure to head to Lim Bay. This beautiful fjord travels deep into the heart of Istria and is surrounded by beautiful woodlands. Bring a picnic to enjoy the cool water before taking a hike through one of the trails through the forest, a great way to enjoy some cooling shade and beautiful scenery.
 
If adventure sports are on the cards, Rovinj is a fantastic place for scuba diving, with sunken vessels and great sea life, it's the perfect spot for new and experienced divers. Further afield, Buzet is an hour's drive away, where you can organise hang-gliding trips and walks to see the incredible waterfalls in the area. Alternatively, Brijuni National park offers rock climbing and biking, Istria has it all!
 
Famous for its truffles and with its rich cultural past, Istria is a food lovers dream. Taking a strong Italian influence, there are a plethora of things to try, be it local olive oil, traditional pršut or the fantastic local wines. There are tours of the local vineyards, where they can guide you through the winemaking process and give you the chance to taste some of the region's best wines and spirits.
 
Beyond food and sports, Istria has a deep and fascinating history. Formally part of the Venetian Republic, this region has seen so many different rulers and cultures from the Romans, Byzantines and Austro-Hungarians to the Italians and Yugoslavians. Each leaving their mark on the region well worth investigating. Explore different villages and towns to see the variation in architecture, learn about the history from local tour guides and absorb the breath-taking scenery. Villa Janez is an ideal home for children. With its open-plan spaces, it’s easy to keep an eye of the kids, and a fully enclosed private garden ensures they are safe at all times in the villa. The kitchen-dining area is perfect for casual family meals, and a barbecue is always fun for the family. The staircase and balcony have railings for added safety. The spa room and pool offer endless fun to the children as they splash around playing water games. When the youngest travellers have tired themselves out, they can go to any of the rooms in the villa to watch some satellite television and get some rest before another exciting day!

A great part about the villa is the amenities it offers for a family, such as washing machine and dishwasher. It also has a fenced staircase and balcony for added safety, making life a little easier as you travel with your little ones.

Rovinj is great for families, restaurants cater extremely well for children and the quiet way of living in the town suites families perfectly. Children love to sit on the harbour wall and watch the boats come in with the days catch and talk to the local guides who offer amazing stories of the town’s history.

There is no shortage of beaches in the area, with an incredible coastline you are spoilt for choice. Lim Bay offers a quieter coastline and is a great spot for a family picnic. The surrounding forest offers cooling shade, whilst the shallow water is perfect for children to play in.

Full of activities, Istria is a great place to come with the family. From hiking, cycling, diving to hang gliding you can do it all in Istria! With such an array of activities there something for everyone. On particularly hot days, take a family trip to Aqua Park. This waterpark is full of slides and chutes, ideal for the kids to get excited whilst splashing around in the cool water.

End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Linen & towels included? Bed linen and bath towels are included in the rental price. Please bring your own pool towels.
