From the outset this villa is striking, both in its modern architecture as well as it’s cooling white hues which stylishly contrast against the natural blue and green tones that surround it. When you through the front doors, you will be immediately taken by the chic, elegant interior design. The entrance hall is finished with a high shine tile floor which accentuates the feature of the room, the staircase which branches off into two directions. This room is also home to a large open plan living, dining and kitchen space. All of these areas seamlessly merge together via carefully placed features and high-quality design.

The kitchen area is finished to a very high specification and due to the open plan structure has a social place where you can entertain and cook at the same time. Don’t forget to try out the famous Istrian extra virgin olive oil!

Beyond this main area, there are further luxurious features, the grandest being the outdoor pool. Located in the garden is a generous family size pool, it’s clear, cool waters tempting all guests with a refreshing dip. Surrounding the pool, for those who are less splash inclined are several sun loungers offering ample, water free space to really soak up that sunshine. Also outside is a barbecue, outdoor lounge area and on the first floor there is also a chic balcony which is accessible from most of the bedrooms. Picture early morning stretches in the sunshine or watching the sunset with the sea breeze, all from the comfort of your own bed.

This villa is surrounded by heavenly blue sky and sea vistas, inspiring adventure every day.

Formerly known as Histria, the enchanting waterside escape of Istria is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. It’s heart shape shows is almost a physical representation of the passion and culture that can be found here.
Living up to its original Latin name, Istria is steeped in history and palpable heritage featuring many fascinating historical sites that travellers are able to visit. Perhaps the most impressive of which is the Roman Amphitheatre which has been preserved incredibly well, standing in Pula and this amphitheatre is actually the sixth largest arena in the whole of Europe!

Outside of its historical charms, Istria has plenty of other features on offer. Surrounded by the Adriatic Sea, there are many pristine, picturesque beaches and sea front café’s where one can soak up the sun or watch the boats as they travel towards the nearby ports of Italy and Slovenia.

Turning away from the coast, rural Istria is completed with rolling green hills all overflowing with natural emerald beauty. If you are enticed by the lure of wild and rare nature, then take a boat trip to the nearby islands of Brijuni which are not only surrounded by the most intensely stunning beaches but are also covered in greenery boasting rare wild plants including wild cucumber and more.

Region

Pula, located on the southern tip of Croatia's Istrian Peninsula, is a city with a rich history, stunning natural beauty, and a vibrant cultural scene. Exploring the city's old town, you'll find charming narrow streets, historic buildings, and picturesque squares. A stroll through the heart of the city allows visitors to immerse themselves in its unique blend of architectural styles, from Baroque palaces to Venetian facades.

Pula is a city steeped in history, with its roots dating back to Roman times. The most iconic symbol of the city is the Pula Arena, a remarkably well-preserved Roman amphitheater. Built during the 1st century AD, it is one of the six largest surviving Roman arenas in the world and one of Croatia’s most famous sights. Visitors can explore the galleries, stand on the arena floor, and even attend various events, including concerts and festivals held within its ancient walls.

The Istrian Peninsula is known for its stunning coastline, and Pula boasts numerous pristine beaches and coves. One of the most popular spots is Kamenjak, a protected natural park featuring rugged cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and diverse marine life. Nature enthusiasts can hike or cycle through the park's trails and enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Adriatic Sea. The coastal location is also ideal for water-based activities. Scuba diving enthusiasts can explore underwater caves and shipwrecks, while sailing and windsurfing are popular options for those seeking an adrenaline rush.

Just a short drive from Pula, the seaside town of Medulin offers a lovely promenade along the coast. You can take a leisurely walk, rent bicycles, or enjoy an ice cream by the sea. The shallow waters here make it a great spot for kids to play and swim.

For more family-friendly beaches, Verudela, Valkane, and Ambrela are all excellent options, offering playground facilities and water sports for older kids. Verudula beach is the home of Pula Aquarium which features a variety of Adriatic Sea creatures, including fish, seahorses, and various sea plants. The aquarium also has a touch tank, where children can get hands-on with the marine life!

Just a short boat ride from Pula is a collection of islands that make up Brijuni National Park. The park offers a unique combination of untouched nature, diverse flora and fauna, and historical sites. Visitors can explore the enchanting landscapes, visit the safari park, and explore the ruins of Roman villas and ancient churches. The park has golf carts available for touring, making it easily accessible for families with young children.

No visit to Pula is complete without indulging in the flavours of Istrian cuisine. The region is renowned for its truffles, olive oil, and world-class wines. Local restaurants offer a wide array of dishes that incorporate these prized ingredients. Be sure to try traditional Istrian dishes such as fuži (pasta) with truffles, maneštra (a hearty bean soup), and fresh seafood prepared in various ways.

Istria is also famous for its winemaking, and Pula is an excellent starting point for exploring local vineyards. Istrian wines, particularly Malvazija and Teran, are known for their unique character and are often paired with Istrian delicacies, creating a delightful culinary experience.

Whether you're exploring the ancient Roman heritage, relaxing on pristine beaches, or indulging in Istrian cuisine, Pula offers a unique and unforgettable Croatian adventure.

In the heart-shaped bubble of Istria, you will find many activities specifically designed for families, including the two sensational water parks of Aquapark Istralandia near Novigrad and Aquapark Aquacolors in Poreč.

There is also the Dino Park just outside the town of Funtana where the kids can enjoy seeing life-size dinosaurs in the wilderness, an amusement park and even a dino shooting range!

On the theme of Dinosaurs, just a short drive from Pula, on the very southern tip of Istria, is the Kamenjak National Park where you can follow the ‘Dinosaur Path’ to discover dinosaur footprints and admire stunning views over the bay.

All along the coastline you will find opportunities to rent boats, pedalos and snorkelling equipment (or even scuba diving if you’re feeling up to it!) to enjoy the pristine beaches and bays, while inland among the deep green, rolling mountains there are some of the most beautiful cycling and hiking trails in Europe.
