Stepping inside Villa Bialetti, you will be struck by the modern elegance of the bright and airy living space, which features tasteful furnishings and a relaxed open-plan layout. Each of the villa’s four bedrooms has been thoughtfully decorated to provide a tranquil retreat after a day spent exploring the beautiful island of Čiovo. With comfortable double beds and beautiful sea views, two of the bedrooms feature modern en-suite bathrooms, while the remaining bedrooms share a spacious family bathroom. Just over the bridge from the historic town of Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the island of Čiovo provides visitors with the ideal base from which to explore the mesmerising cultural gems and pristine natural beauty of the Dalmatian coastline. With an array of excellent restaurants and bars offering traditional Dalmatian delicacies, as well as a treasure trove of beautiful beaches and water sports facilities to discover, Čiovo is only an hour’s drive or a relaxing ferry journey from the majestic city of Split, while island-hopping adventurers can spend their days exploring the shores of Brac and Hvar.
One of the most popular beaches on the Trogir Riviera, Okrug Beach is a great spot to spend the day enjoying the warm waters of the Adriatic Sea. Known locally as Copacabana, the beach offers visitors a host of convenient amenities, including bars, cafes and an excellent water sports centre, where you can enjoy activities such as sea kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and scuba diving. Kava Beach is great for families, while Labadusa Beach on the south coast of Čiovo is known for its iridescent waters and laidback island ambience.
Trogir is located on a tiny island that provides a picturesque stepping stone from Čiovo to mainland Croatia. Medieval walls surround the labyrinthine streets of Trogir’s fairytale old town. The town is known for its incredible architecture, with the Cipiko Palace and the Cathedral of St. Lawrence offering unforgettable sightseeing opportunities. Trogir is also a foodie’s paradise with a proud gastronomic heritage. Enjoy a leisurely lunch along the promenade or visit the Trogir Fruit Market by the old town bridge, where you will find fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as excellent local produce such as honey, wine and olive oil.

From Čiovo, visitors can take the ferry that runs from Slatine to Split or drive along the sparkling coastline to reach the vibrant city. The largest city on the Croatian coastline, Split offers plenty of ancient sites to explore. Marvel at the ruins of the Roman emperor Diocletian’s palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site that dates back to the late third century and was originally constructed to encompass an imperial villa, a defensive fortress and a walled town. Occupying an enviable position on Split’s picturesque harbour, this sprawling palace is one of the most magnificent Roman structures still in existence today, comprising almost half of the beautiful old town of Split.

Meanwhile, older children will be captivated by a visit to the majestic Klis Fortress on a day trip to Split. Here, everyone can enjoy panoramic views of the city and its surrounding islands whilst exploring this thrilling stone castle’s historic walls and fortifications. Bring plenty of water with you during the summer months and visit earlier in the day if possible, as the fortress does not offer much shade from the sun. The ruins of the ancient city of Salona are also well worth a visit before you stop off for a family lunch at a local restaurant in Klis.
