With an average temperature of 29 degrees, you can enjoy untouched greenery, lush rainforests, beautiful mountains and volcanoes, as well as absolutely stunning beaches. The St Lucian people are warm and friendly and love to party, and there is always something happening; highlights include the Jazz festival in May and Carnival in July.
The Landings Resort is nestled on the sun-kissed shores of Pigeon Island Causeway Beach in Rodney Bay on the North side of the Island. This vast park has plenty of green spaces, signposted hiking trails and two peaks to conquer with spectacular 360 views.
For a different experience, take a peak at the Gros Islet Friday night street party. Infused with a retro Caribbean flavour– you can explore traffic-free streets set up with craft stalls and barbeque stalls and sample fish fry-up. Soca and reggae blare from huge speakers as you enjoy a rum punch or beer, and after sundown, the place is packed, and everybody is dancing!

St Lucia really is a hiker’s Nirvana! Where to start? That’s a tough question. However, with the likes of - The Diamond Botanical Gardens, Enbas Saut Waterfall Trail, Pigeon Island National Park, Sulphur Springs Park Scenic Drive and Tet Paul Nature Trail – it doesn’t matter! These UNESCO listed sites are a sight to behold. If you're likely to take to the water, you'll be able to admire the rich marine biodiversity just off the shore of St Lucia. Over 60% of the marine area is made up of coral reefs and these are very poular with snorkelers and scuba divers. Just make sure you put time aside to relish these privileged land & seascapes.
Start your cultural trip downtown in Castries. Here you will be provided with more than enough entertainment for an afternoon and evening. The local Market runs throughout the week and is certainly the right place to come for exotic fruits and tantalising Street Food - the Green Fig & Salt Fish is local delicacy and it's not scarce, so perhaps try a few variants on this regional intricacy and let us know which is your favourite! The vendors are incredibly animated, so expect a show to be put on if you choose to explore this part of the island and brush up on those haggling skills. La Place Carenage and Point Seraphine are very popular Malls and if you bear in mind the added incentive of these complexes being Duty-Free, you and your guests will certainly get some good deals (A taxi back to your villa after such an excursion is suggested!).
Many holiday makers are surprised to learn of St Lucia’s rich cocoa legacy. Ever since the 1700’s this island has been producing cocoa related products, that are incredibly sought after all across the world. Morne Coubaril Estate and La Dauphine Estate specialise in showcasing how plantations use to gather & manufacture the Cocoa Bean fruit and organise educational tours. After learning all about St Lucia’s former booming cocoa industry, you will probably need some therapy…how about chocolate therapy like you’ve never encountered before? Enquire at some of the islands more renowned Spas and you’ll be able to experience the benefits of a chocolate facial and massage. Remember - Chocolate isn’t a food, it’s a medicine!

Please be aware that St Lucia is an island nation that experiences weather patterns dictated by the Atlantic Ocean to the north of the island and the Caribbean Sea to the south of the island. Getting There
St Lucia is served by Hewanorra International Airport in Vieux Fort and George FL Charles local airport in Castries. There are ferries to Martinique, Guadeloupe and Dominica.

Best Suited For: All AgesMarina Pool Villa Suite is in a great spot for an unforgettable family holiday. The kids will absolutely love the choice of pools and the amount of activities on offer to them at this wonderful resort, and it’s going to be a hard task to drag them away!
Kids love beaches, and the Landings Resort has its very own private beach with anchored floating rafts in crystal clear waters. There is a designated swimming area safe for kids, and all the non-motorised sports are free.
Water sports available include Kayaking, Paddleboarding and Sailing, and there is always something going on, such as Beach Volleyball or mini Olympics, as well as great facilities so you can pitch up and enjoy the beach for the day.
If the kiddies want to meet friends and play, head to the Kids Wiggly Pool which is shallow and safe and is also home to aqua aerobics classes.
The Beach Club Pool is great for lap swimmers and is near the Beach Club, and the Marina Pool is huge with a smaller deep oval pool next to it, perfect for the parents to swim and relax whilst keeping an eye on the boisterous fun in the big pool!
The Landings Resort offers plenty of sport entertainment on site with a fitness centre, two floodlit tennis courts and plenty of organised sports events, and you can arrange outside adventures, including horse-riding, Segway trails, Scuba Diving and Jeep Safaris.
There is a free kids club with awesome activities for ages 4-12, including treasure hunts, Limbo dancing and movie nights and a Teen program for 13 – 16 olds with activities including Chill Vibes Tie Die, Silent Disco and Steelpan lessons.
Splash Island Water Park on Reduit Beach is an open sports water park with all the thrills and spills kids could wish for. The whole family can enjoy inflatable obstacle course-style activities and splash pools staffed by a team of certified lifeguards. Please note kids must be six years or older and will be required to wear life vests.
This is an amazing chance for families to explore St Lucia’s rainforest, and there are fantastic tours available from Rainforest Adventures, where you can enjoy the rainforest with expert adventure guides. You can tour via Ariel tram, zip wires or guided walks through the forest, or you can try out all three methods for a thrilling fun-filled adventure.
St Lucia is a fascinating Island for kids to explore, and you should not miss out on a tour to the world’s only drive-in volcano – the Soufriere sulphur springs. There are tour guides available and thermal pools to bathe in, and the kids will love the mysterious steam rising from the ground, be warned, the sulphur is very smelly!
Whilst in Soufriere, it’s worth a visit to the Rabot Estate plantation, where all of Hotel Chocolat’s products start. Kids will adore The Bean to Bar chocolate experience, where they can create their own chocolate bar.
If the kids need more chocolate nearby, Fond Doux plantation also has its own short tour and an incredible chocolate fondue drink –chilled and whisked, so it’s light, bubbly and refreshing.
