This villa occupies a beautiful seafront location within the Saddleback area of Cap Estate. This northern corner of Saint Lucia is overflowing with colour, and there is no better place from which to admire the show than La Mer Villa.
As soon as you enter La Mer Villa, the modern, minimalist interior tells you to relax and take it easy. Your kitchen, living and dining area is open plan and split level, with the well-equipped kitchen on the upper floor. Take a few steps down to the dining space, which opens out to the balcony. This is a delightful corner for lazy breakfasts or leisurely lunches, looking out to sea. Down a few more steps and you’re in the lounge. Separated from the pool terrace and breath-taking view by little more than the super contemporary, glazed bi-fold doors, La Mer Villa effortlessly blends inside with outside. As do the white ceilings, walls and stone tiled floors, with turquoise accents in the décor reflecting the blue of the pool and sea.
Up to six family members or friends can easily share the irresistible private pool, generous outdoor terrace, sun loungers and shade of the umbrellas. Sit on the steps which lure you down into the pool, dangle your feet in the water and just admire the view. It’s out here that you appreciate the beauty of your surroundings. La Mer Villa is almost encased in lush greenery, with palms and tropical plants to the left and right, and the sparkling Caribbean Sea ahead. Paradise!
The fresh, white timbered ceilings and white walls extend into the sleeping accommodation, making La Mer Villa feel as relaxed as you’d expect a Caribbean holiday home to be. The master suite and second bedroom are both found in the main house, featuring fabulous en-suite bathrooms, king sized beds – the second room can also be adapted to a twin – and private sun deck, reserved exclusively for you. The third bedroom is in Coconut Cottage. As quaint as it sounds, this delightful, separate cottage is just across the garden and boasts its own private bedroom and bathroom. Even the shower has a view!
With a beach nearby and easy access to Cap Estate’s golf course and amenities, La Mer Villa is where your tropical dreams can come true.
What you should know…
- The open plan, living and dining area is tastefully decorated but split across two levels, making access difficult for those with restricted mobility. It also means that La Mer Villa is not suitable for children under the age of twelve
- Please note that one of the three bedrooms is located in the separate cottage in the garden. Quaint, charming and private, this sleeping arrangement is only suitable for fully independent guests

You can also access the island’s only golf course, tennis courts and a couple of restaurants, all within Cap Estate. Despite the wonderful peace and tranquillity of this corner of the island, it’s quick and easy to reach visitor attractions and natural wonders.
Guests staying here are spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches, with one very close-by and a number within ten minutes’ drive. Reduit Beach in Rodney Bay is a hotspot for tourists looking for a totally tropical beach experience. Lined with palm trees, water sports, inflatable rides, bars and restaurants, you can soak up the sun here all day long. For a quieter dose of sun, sand and sea, head to Plantation Beach or Smugglers Cove. As well as the white sand and hot Caribbean sun, be sure to make the most of the delights beneath the sea. The waters here are warm and crystal clear – perfect for snorkelling.
For a contrasting experience on this incredible island, take a Dollar Bus along the coastal road. These sixteen-seater vans are privately owned, easily hailed from the roadside, cheap and good fun! The services run between Cap Estate, Rodney Bay and Castries. Venture out on a Saturday morning from La Mer Villa and visit the Saturday market in Castries. Soak up the Saint Lucia’s sights, sounds and spices of in all their glory as you wend your way through market stalls piled high with local produce. Buy a bottle of hot sauce and add it, cautiously, to the menu for that night’s barbecue!

About the Island & Getting There
About St Lucia
The Land, The People, The Light – St Lucia’s motto couldn’t be more representative of this captivating sovereign island nation. Witness dazzling scenery, be spellbound by the fascinating locals and allow for St Lucia to brighten your day and show you a new way to life.
St Lucia gained its independence from the British Commonwealth in 1979 and after centuries of a French presence, which is most visible today in the original Capital of Soufrière, St Lucia is famous for its Pitons & landscapes and vivacious community.
St Lucia really is a hiker’s Nirvana! Where to start? That’s a tough question. However, with the likes of - The Diamond Botanical Gardens, Enbas Saut Waterfall Trail, Pigeon Island National Park, Sulphur Springs Park Scenic Drive and Tet Paul Nature Trail – it doesn’t matter! These UNESCO listed sites are a sight to behold. If you're likely to take to the water, you'll be able to admire the rich marine biodiversity just off the shore of St Lucia. Over 60% of the marine area is made up of coral reefs and these are very poular with snorkelers and scuba divers. Just make sure you put time aside to relish these privileged land & seascapes.
Start your cultural trip downtown in Castries. Here you will be provided with more than enough entertainment for an afternoon and evening. The local Market runs throughout the week and is certainly the right place to come for exotic fruits and tantalising Street Food - the Green Fig & Salt Fish is local delicacy and it's not scarce, so perhaps try a few variants on this regional intricacy and let us know which is your favourite! The vendors are incredibly animated, so expect a show to be put on if you choose to explore this part of the island and brush up on those haggling skills. La Place Carenage and Point Seraphine are very popular Malls and if you bear in mind the added incentive of these complexes being Duty-Free, you and your guests will certainly get some good deals (A taxi back to your villa after such an excursion is suggested!).
Many holiday makers are surprised to learn of St Lucia’s rich cocoa legacy. Ever since the 1700’s this island has been producing cocoa related products, that are incredibly sought after all across the world. Morne Coubaril Estate and La Dauphine Estate specialise in showcasing how plantations use to gather & manufacture the Cocoa Bean fruit and organise educational tours. After learning all about St Lucia’s former booming cocoa industry, you will probably need some therapy…how about chocolate therapy like you’ve never encountered before? Enquire at some of the islands more renowned Spas and you’ll be able to experience the benefits of a chocolate facial and massage. Remember - Chocolate isn’t a food, it’s a medicine!
We have selected some of the most exciting villas on the island, so browse through these dreamy holiday homes and have a look at our cheeky little guide to St Lucia!

Amazing!
Thank you so much sharing your beautiful home with us! It was everyone’s first trip to St. Lucia and it was important to us that we really experience the island and your villa helped us do that. The glass doors (although tricky at first) we’re opened every chance that we had. We all took turns taking shower in the coconut cottage shower with the open windows! The pool and the views are simply Amazing! Nadine & Illtyde were a pleasure and always helpful. A tip for everyone, check out the Naked Fisherman Restaurant Bar great food and drinks and beach! Oh and very close to the house. Thank you again.

Yes Yes Yes!
When we arrived at La Mer Villa, we were warmly greeted by Ms. Nadine. She gave us the grand tour of the place and answered all our questions, did not rush us at all as we took our time taking in the beautiful view. The house was very well thought out, and we just loved the doors that opened all the way to make us fee a little closer to nature. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool every day after our adventures around St. Lucia. Ms. Nadine cooked us a wonderful meals and breakfasts. My son loved her and loved her cooking as well. We will definitely want to stay here again if we vacation in St. Lucia again.

This was a real vacation for us
I will say that this house is so amazing that we stayed for almost two weeks and did not got out of the house, just to do groceries. We felt so good there that I will definitely love to come back. Nadine, the lady that cook and clean was so good and helpful that we felt she was part of the family. The true is that we couldn't ask for more. This was a real vacation for us. The view in the pool area is out of the world.

Just stunning views
I stayed at La Mer for the week of July 4th and had a wonderful time! The property and the views are even more beautiful than the pictures. You can see the vast landscape from every inch of the house. The outdoor area has plenty of lounging options, if you’re ever not relaxing in the pool ;)
The housekeeper, Nadine, was kind and very funny. It was fun to meet a local St. Lucian!
The location was perfect as well. Tons of restaurants nearby. Every place we ate at had an ocean view! Definitely check out the Naked Fisherman right around the corner from the house - the restaurant is in its own private beach cove!
If you’re looking for a bit of activity, many of the nearby resorts offer day passes. You can go and use their facilities and participate in their water activities, but then have your own private villa to come back to at night!
Incredible stay, I can’t recommend it enough. Needless to say, I will be returning!!
