Overview
Experience a stay in the legendary home of Sir Ian Fleming, creator of the world’s most famous fictional spy. Part of the exclusive Goldeneye resort, the Fleming Villa sits amidst its own lush, tropical gardens, with a private pool and beach. Dedicated staff are on hand to pamper and provide you with anything you might need, ensuring you enjoy an unforgettable and luxurious stay. Sleeping six guests, the villa offers spacious and traditional Caribbean accommodation that will transport you back to a bygone age of laidback glamour and sophistication. Also, within the grounds are two separate cottages, known as Sweet Spot and Pool House, which can be booked together with the main villa to accommodate ten guests in total.
Arriving at the Fleming Villa, guests are greeted by the splashing of an elegant fountain before entering the living area of this wonderful Caribbean villa, which still maintains the air of understated style and glamour of its celebrated past. Jalousie windows allow a warm breeze to flow through the rooms and ceiling fans gently whir above. The living area, with a dining table and comfortable seating, has been kept in the original style, with dark wood furniture and select pieces of African art, which sit alongside memorabilia from the villa’s heyday, with photographs of Fleming with Sean Connery amongst others, and of course, a good selection of Bond novels. Adjacent to the living area, the three bedrooms – wittily named 007, 008 and 009 – sit along one side of the villa, each with its own private garden bathroom, complete with shower and elegant claw foot bath where guests can indulge in the wonderful experience of a warm bath surrounded by the lush tropical greenery.
From the main living area, steps lead guests down into the neatly lawned garden. A table and chairs are perfectly positioned between the trees, overlooking the turquoise water below, creating the perfect spot for a leisurely meal. A few steps away is the attractive private pool, where guests can relax, drink in hand and admire the sea views. With large doors opening onto the pool, the media room is separate to the original villa and offers a home cinema experience with a 64-inch television and a large futon sofa. Nearby Pool House and Sweet Spot offer additional accommodation, each with a King-size bed and a garden bathroom. From the glorious tropical garden, steps lead down to Fleming Beach, the villa’s private beach where guests can enjoy complete seclusion by the turquoise water.
The Fleming Villa offers a very special and unique experience in beautiful Jamaica. Full of character and charm like its original owner, the villa exudes romance and bygone glamour. Plus, with a private cook, butler and housekeeper, guests can completely relax in the knowledge that their every need will be taken care of and their privacy is assured.

Location
About the surrounding area of Fleming VillaSet on the stunning north coast of Jamaica, the Fleming Villa is 45 miles north of Kingston and 75 miles east of Montego Bay. The villa is part of the exclusive Goldeneye resort, but sits within its own grounds so you can choose to relax in privacy or take advantageous of the nearby facilities, several bars and restaurants and a spa.
The villa was built according to Fleming’s own designs in the late 1940s and the author wrote all his Bond books here between 1952 and 1964. He also played host to numerous celebrities over those years, from Truman Capote to Princess Margaret. In later years, the villa was bought by musician Bob Marley and consequently by Island Records founder, Chris Blackwell, who also entertained a myriad of famous guests including Michael Caine, Pierce Brosnan and Sting.
The Goldeneye resort offers superb facilities for guests, with several different pools, exclusive bays with soft white sand, tennis courts, relaxed bars and two excellent restaurants. Guests keen to enjoy the water will appreciate the water sports facilities available, including snorkelling, paddle boarding and kayaking. Boat trips are available from the resort, whether you would like a private trip out or would just like to relax and gaze at the fish in the resident glass-bottomed boat.
With so much on offer at Goldeneye, you may be tempted to stay put, but Jamaica is renowned for its natural beauty and there is a lot to see, with lush tropical rainforests, mountains, waterfalls and golden beaches. Private tours are available that will take you into the nearby Blue Mountains where you can explore peaceful mountain villages and visit some of the island’s famous coffee plantations, known for producing some of the best and most expensive coffee in the world. Alternatively, pay a visit to the historic Hampden Estate, one of the oldest and most beautiful sugar estates on the island. You will be greeted by peacocks on the lawn before being taken on a tour and have the opportunity to sample some of the estate’s very special aged rum.

About the Island & Getting There

Prior to Booking
Please be aware that Jamaica is an island nation that experiences weather patterns dictated by the Atlantic Ocean to the north of the island and the Caribbean Sea to the south of the island. This tropical rainforest climate results in the island experiencing a hurricane season, which usually occurs between June to November. When thinking about booking your holiday to Jamaica, please consult Foreign travel advice for more information.
Entry Requirements
Tourists who are British Citizens will not require a visa upon arrival and Departure Tax is included in most flight costs. Please check Entry Requirements before departure.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesYounger guests will adore this little piece of Caribbean paradise. With a private pool to play in as well as three additional pools in the main resort area, kids will be spoilt for choice when it comes to pool time. The media room is perfect as a den, with the large television and the sofa which can be turned into a bed. Older children will appreciate the excitement of the James Bond association and little ones will love the novelty of eating mangoes and coconuts fresh from the trees around them.
In addition to Fleming Beach, there are three beaches at Goldeneye, the largest of which is Low Cay ¬– a glorious sweep of soft white sand perfect for little feet. Goldeneye offers a wealth of water sports activities to keep older kids entertained. Kayaking and paddle boarding are both ideal ways to explore the resort, especially the beautiful lagoon. Those keen to see the colourful sea life should head down to Snorkellers Cove where staff will kit out guests with everything they need to go snorkelling. Goldeneye also has its own certified sailing instructors, so any budding sailors can learn to sail in the gentle sea around the resort.
Beyond the resort, Jamaica offers a wealth of delights for younger visitors, from the excitement of the Dunn’s River Falls waterfall in nearby Ocho Rios to the Cool Runnings Waterpark in Negril. Pay a visit to the island capital of Kingston, where you can visit the home of legendary Jamaican reggae artist Bob Marley and round off the day with some of the best ice cream in the world at the elegant Devon House.
For adrenalin-seekers, take the short drive to Mystic Mountain, a superb rainforest entertainment park close to Ocho Rios. A chairlift carries visitors to the top of the mountain from where you can choose your method of descent! Experience the thrill of the zipwire ride through the treetops or enjoy hurtling along in a bobsled on a track at ground level. To cool off, head to the long waterslide that drops you into a fantastic infinity pool with breath-taking views over the sea.
