Pool Villa/House Modern Ideal for Kids Walk to Beach

When visiting a new country there’s so much to be said about embracing the new culture at every given chance, and experiencing a truly authentic stay. Villa Dearheart is a warm and welcoming beachfront coral-stone Villa, built in a traditional Barbadian style - so you can truly immerse yourself in a unique, inspired stay.

This Villa is located on the renowned Gibbes Beach in Saint Peter, in fact, this stunning beach is right at the edge of your backyard, just walk through the gate and feel the sand in your toes.

The three bedroom home is the ideal getaway for friends or families seeking a well-located home away from home. Whether guests are relaxing in the living room reading a book, cooking up a feast in the living room or playing board games at the dining table, the open plan living space allows optimal quality time together. There’s plenty of space for all holiday makers to sit together come movie night or game night.

The three bedrooms in the home are all located on the upper level, two of the rooms share a bathroom while the master has its own en-suite. All three rooms offer air conditioning, so you can get a restful slumber.

Considering the home has such a prime location, it’s no surprise that the exterior is equally as stunning as the interior and well and truly takes advantage of the location. Whether you’re enjoying alfresco dining or watching the sunset at the outdoor dining area or sitting in the private plunge pool, there’s plenty to keep you happy.

The beach is just a hop, skip and a jump away, and the home away from home is warm and offers authentic Barbadian influence - what more could you want?

Barbados is a popular holiday destination, namely due to the renowned beaches, stunning sunsets, tropical climate and welcoming locals. After all, day upon day of relaxing at the beach combined with good food and friendly locals, it’s a recipe for the perfect tropical retreat.

This villa is located on the West Coast at Gibbes Beach, a renowned beach that boasts crystal clear waters and stretches of golden sand - whether you’re enjoying the sun from your lounger, taking a dip or at one of the nearby beach bars, there’s something to for everyone’s idea of a ‘perfect holiday’.

This villa is a short drive from Speightstown, one of the island’s major towns that has a rich, long history and plenty of character. The town, which is also known as Little Bristol, is the second major town in Barbados and is also one of the busiest ports. Bridgetown, the country’s town centre, is slightly further away but well worth the trip to experience a UNESCO-listed town.

The Villa is also near many of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados, including Mullins Beach, Accra Beach and Paynes Bay. Many of these beaches offer facilities such as changing rooms, bathrooms, restaurants and beach bars, so you can stay on the beach long after the sun goes down.

About the Island & Getting There

About Barbados

At first glance you could be mistaken for thinking that Barbados is purely a beach holiday destination, but you're urged to reconsider this common belief. The island of Barbados is peppered with astonishing landscapes (both coastal and inland), enchanting locals, sublime cuisine, intriguing rums, fascinating wildlife, symbolic architecture and a selection of striking holiday villas.

Delve deep into the history of the island and start your holiday by visiting Sunbury Plantation House & Museum. This former plantation was built in 1660's and the premises are scattered with antiquities that delicately detail a recent history of Barbados. St. Nicholas Abbey also provides an insightful representation of Sugarcane production, Bajan artefacts and a wonderful observation point at Cherry Tree Hill. If you’re keen to visit one of the oldest Parliamentary buildings within the Commonwealth and appreciate the democratic legacy of Barbados, drop by The Parliament Buildings. This neo-gothic congress can be found in Bridgetown and act as a representation of Barbados’s Independence. There is so much history present throughout the island and as a result, Bridgetown and its Garrison has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, which the locals are very proud of.

Great efforts have been made to persevere the natural beauty of Barbados, so if you’re drawn to the exploration of National Parks and multicoloured gardens, it won’t take you long to realise that Barbados is a haven for such paradises! Within the Andromeda Botanic Gardens, Farley Hill National Park, Flower Forest, Hunte's Gardens and Welchman Hall Gully - visitors, and Botanist alike, will be lost for hours admiring these astonishing botanical parklands. Keep an eye out for the Dwarf Poinciana, or Peacock Flower…it’s the national flower of Barbados.

Bajan’s take their food very seriously! If you and your fellow travellers are enticed by the gastronomic aspect of holidaying, we believe you’ve selected the right island. With every aspect of cookery mastered; from pickling to freshly prepared dishes, sweet & savoury, fragrant & spicy and of course, the bountiful choice of seafood. Check out the food stalls in Paynes Bay Church – where vendors exhibit locally made dishes & street food that will scintillate the taste buds. At the end of every working week, locals and tourists both flock to Oistins, for 'Fish Fry Day'. This is a must for those who haven’t undergone the experience! The evening starts with barbecues and then ascends into a joyful party. This caps off a busy few days of work for locals as well as the 'strains' associated with serious holidaying.

Barbados is of course iconic for its Beaches & Rum…so why not bring them together? You will have to go out of your way not to be able to find a beach bar along the west coast of the island, as well as the countless Rum Shops. Yes, you’ve read correctly, Rum Shops! These small and locally run businesses embrace the Bajan spice of life, in liquid form. Very delicious! If you’re searching for something a little more special, take a trip to the east coast and visit Sand Dunes Bar and Restaurant at Windy Hill, for an unforgettable experience.

Barbados is a distinct and striking part of the Caribbean. It’s a great fit for all types of travellers, as the island really does have it all. For a little more information about this delightful island, check out our guide to a remarkable stay!

What a wonderful, totally relaxing vacation! Harriet and Lucine pampered us for 9 days. Hate to leave them! Many thanks to both of them for making our stay perfect.

  • I return to London fully relaxed!

    on 05/01/2018

We came for a beach and sun family vacation.. We will come back for Harriet and Lucine! This is our third time renting a villa on Gibbs beach and the first time that we have been so happily ensconced that other than lunch at Mullins Beach on Harriet and Lucine's day off .. we saw no point in going to restaurants; giving us the pleasure of long, lazy afternoons on the beach and nothing to think about except what fish to buy. And of course the location is fantastic, as always! Great vacation..
