Cider Cottage is a beautifully refurbished Grade II listed thatched country home nestled in the picturesque Somerset countryside. This charming cottage perfectly blends rustic charm with modern comforts, offering a truly idyllic rural retreat. The exterior features a quaint stone wall, a large wooden door, and a flower-filled setting that welcomes visitors to this serene getaway.

Inside, the cottage boasts a spacious, stone-floored living area with a cosy open fireplace and a 55-inch flatscreen TV equipped with a Bluetooth soundbar, perfect for a relaxing evening. The open-plan layout encourages socialising, with a dining table beside the living area. The modern kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher, and tasteful finishing touches. A separate utility room offers additional conveniences like a large fridge/freezer and washer/dryer.

Upstairs, two beautifully appointed bedrooms await, each with an ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom features a luxurious roll-top bath and walk-in shower, while the second bedroom offers a stylish wetroom with heated stone floors. Both rooms are decorated with traditional artwork and fine wooden furniture, providing a restful and elegant atmosphere.

Outside, the property is surrounded by an expansive private garden with a large lawn, barbecue area, and a teak dining set for al fresco dining. The garden offers the perfect setting for relaxation, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. There is also ample parking for two cars.

Located just two miles from Ilminster, the cottage is ideally situated for exploring local walking and cycling routes, country pubs, and other amenities. For larger groups, the neighbouring Hurcott Farmhouse offers accommodation for up to fourteen guests, providing the perfect extension to your countryside escape.

• A roll top bath is located in the master bedroom, just like so many top boutique hotels, however having a bathroom directly in the bedroom may not be to everyone’s taste.
• As a Grade II listed building, Cider Cottage retains many original features, including low beams and uneven floors, which may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns.
• The property is in a rural location, so while it offers complete tranquility, it may not be ideal for those seeking immediate access to larger towns or shopping centres.
