A beautiful venue
We got married here on the 20th July and despite the rain, a really great day was had by all. Our guests couldn’t believe that we had the castle from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon all to yourselves!
We met the team previously and sorted everything out for the wedding day, was given a list of vendors and recommendations which was great as we really had no idea of where to begin!
Massive thank you to the team for letting us book this beautiful venue, and making sure our wedding day ran smoothly! -
The dream wedding
Both myself and my (now) wife had the dream wedding at this beautiful venue. We couldn’t have asked for a better day! We enjoyed the independence that hiring the venue gave us for planning our wedding. The staff were super helpful if you had any questions during the build up and on the day. Thank you to the team for helping us with our very special day.

A brilliant venue
I recently stayed at C17th Castle with 20 friends for a birthday weekend. After turning up to the castle we were met by their lovely manager and handyman to the grounds and castle, who showed us around and told us to call at any time in case there was an issue or emergency. The manager was incredibly helpful prior to the trip, having helped organize archery for the turret which was a huge success.
1 night, 1 of our members locked Herself out of her turret, and after calling the handyman, within 10 minutes he arrived and sorted it. I don’t think you would find such great customer service anywhere else at 11:45pm in the middle of the countryside!
The castle was a roaring success with every single 1 of our group having a wonderful time. We used every single facility available to us including the pool, games room, party turret, dining turret… the list goes on and everybody unanimously said it was 1 of the best weekends away they had in a long time. A brilliant venue for parties and I certainly will be returning!

100% would recommend
From the moment we arrived to look at the venue me and my husband knew it was where we wanted to get married! Everyone involved was amazing and nothing was too much. The day went absolutely fabulously and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! We stayed the Friday to Sunday and loved every moment. 100% would recommend and may look at booking another event with them. Totally smitten with everything and everyone.

A magical place
We had my daughter’s wedding at C17th Castle Clevedon last weekend, we didn’t even know the venue existed. From the moment we met the owner we knew this was the venue for us everything was all about the bride and groom nothing was too much trouble. We arrived on the Friday and left on the Sunday and every moment we were there it was magical, the rooms were fantastic, on the Friday we all sat around the large round table in the kitchen laughing and enjoying ourselves. The day of the wedding was brilliant everything went so smoothly and my daughter had everything she wanted, the staff couldn’t have been nicer going above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly I would recommend it to anyone it really is a magical place and we now have some amazing memories thank you C17th castle.

A beautiful castle set in a scenic landscape
I had the good fortune to recently spend several days here for a wedding. A beautiful castle set in a scenic landscape… we had a fabulous time. The rooms are fitted out to a very high standard with thought and care for comfort. The grounds man (Neil) and the bartender (Matt) were both incredibly helpful and ensured everything went smoothly! They really went above and beyond to make the special occasion even more special!

A mind-blowing castle with all the facilities to make your dreams come true.
Arrived to a mind-blowing castle with all the facilities to make your dreams come true.
Great place for a wedding with lots of room. Staff were professional, helpful and most of all friendly.
One person who should get a mention is Matt who was exceptional!
We all have to remember this is a castle with years of history; if you want C21st lifestyle, this is not for you, if you want character, romance and a location to remember with happiness, then this is for you. -

A magical wedding venue
We had our wedding reception at C17th Castle on September 3rd and it exceeded our every expectation! It is the most unique and magical wedding venue- Our guests can't stop commenting on it and our photos are STUNNING. But more than that, Margarita went above and beyond- saving our day not once but twice! Firstly when our original venue went bust just 8 months before our wedding, C17th had our date available and she worked with us and our budget. Then we had further disaster with our caterer cancelling on us just 6 days before the wedding...not only did Margarita answer her phone on a Sunday but singlehandedly rescued our day by finding an incredible replacement caterer, who was actually miles better than our original one could ever have been! Having C17th Castle for the whole weekend with the pool and other facilities was the icing on the cake- we had a BBQ with our nearest and dearest on the Friday night and went swimming on Sunday morning! They were so prompt at replying to every little query we had in the lead up to the wedding and so accommodating with everything we wanted to do- from Sparklers to having a taco truck. Honestly cannot recommend them enough, we will be hiring C17th Castle for the weekend for a future anniversary for sure!

A true fairy tale
Our wedding could not have been more amazing at C17th Castle - a true fairy tale.
Planning our wedding with C17th Castle couldn't have been simpler. They are always on hand to answer any questions, and also provided us with some excellent advice and ideas when we weren't sure of something. They provided us with excellent suppliers - our food was second to none, my flowers were to die for, and our marquee was just perfect too - all recommended by the venue! They couldn't help enough.
Like many, we had to postpone our wedding from last year due to the pandemic. Unfortunately, our 'perfect date' wasn't available for the next year however they managed to cater for us and we just couldn't thank them enough.
On the day there was always someone available to help - we had an unexpected change in weather (which ended up not affecting us after all!) but they were right there to help with moving things around should we have needed to.
I had absolutely no stress as a Bride organising my wedding here - wish we could do it all over again!
Can't recommend this place enough!
Thank you C17th Castle! -
Utterly Amazing!!
We have just got back from the most amazing weekend in this fabulous castle! We hired it for my 60th birthday and invited family and close friends oh and 2 dogs! A fabulous weekend was had by all the castle is in stunning position with fantastic views it has everything you could want for all age groups. The function turret was great for our games/disco events and we had great times in the pool and the games turret. There was ample rooms/turrets for sleeping meaning everyone had there own bit of space after the days/evenings events. The kitchen was very well equipped for dining in but also there was the option of takeaway deliveries. The grounds were great for games lots of which were available for use in the castle e.g. croquet, badminton etc. A big thanks to the team who met us showed us around and made us feel at home and very welcome. The owner was available beforehand to answer any questions we had about the property and fitted us in so we could have a viewing beforehand.

A wonderful wedding
We just wanted to say thank you so much for the use of the castle. We had a wonderful wedding and staying at the castle was fab - think we'll have to come back for our 1 year anniversary! Neil was absolutely fantastic! He was so brilliant and friendly and helpful. He truly went above and beyond. We had our perfect wedding in the castle! Thank you all again for your flexibility and friendliness!

The perfect location for our wedding
C17th Castle, was for us, the perfect location for our wedding. We hired the Castle over the august bank holiday weekend and stretched our wedding celebrations out over four days which allowed us to really relax and spend lots of time with our friends and family. The Castle suited us perfectly – the swimming pool, party turret, bar room, croquet games inside the Castle grounds, rowdy rounders games & archery outside the castle made the place truly unforgettable. We would really like to thank the team up there, especially Neil, for all his patience and helpful tips and who was always on hand.
Thanks so much for helping to make our wedding so special.

Wonderful break so much more than we could have imagined!
We have just returned from our short break at C17th Castle, and would like you to know how very much we enjoyed it. We had the castle all to ourselves and explored every turret! The master suite had wonderful views of the sea and surrounding countryside, and yes, we could see Wales too. The only company we had were two Easter bunnies munching their way through the grass outside, although we understand deer make an appearance from time to time. The castle was pleasantly furnished in a faded elegant way and the chandeliers were splendid. There was a high standard of cleanliness. The sheets were white and fresh and there was an abundance of towels for bath and pool. The pool was a good size and temperature and we made good use of it. It was possible to walk along the sea side which was accessed by a path to the left of the nearby golf club. We would recommend taking walking boots and trainers for rain/sun walking. Three major supermarkets are within a ten minute drive of the castle. We would like to make special mention of Neil who made our stay so relaxing. Last but not least we would like to thank you for this wonderful prize and your generosity in giving it. Our very best wishes to you all
