Upon entering this regal abode via the drawbridge, guests are greeted by a grand foyer, setting the tone for the opulent experience that awaits. Moving along the grand hallway reveals the castle’s tasteful period features including an ornate floor and vast staircase climbing up to the various interconnected levels, nooks, and crannies of the home.
Off the interlocking hallways guests can enjoy four extravagant reception rooms, including a grand, oak-panelled dining room and a billiards room complete with table tennis table, snooker table, and board games. Other reception rooms boast plush sitting rooms bounded by centuries-old artworks and warmed by open fireplaces.
The expansive and fully fitted family kitchen with its own Aga cooker ensures the best of modern-day hospitality service or the most generous of spaces for culinary enthusiasts among the guests. There’s also a separate and more intimate prep kitchen available.
Arranged variously throughout the castle’s levels are 15 well-appointed bedrooms, each a haven of comfort and a taste of regal luxury with sumptuous furnishings and elegant ambiance. The master suite is a palatial retreat, boasting a king-sized bed, a private reception area, and an ensuite bathroom adorned with marble accents. The remaining bedrooms, each uniquely designed, offer a variety of sleeping arrangements to cater to the diverse needs of your group.
The outdoor spaces are equally sprawling and impressive, featuring manicured gardens, a swan-swept moat, croquet lawn, and multiple seating areas for al fresco dining.

Ask a questionFor a more intimate celebration, curate a romantic event inside our Great Hall (which has hosted many a special celebration over the decades). Alternatively, host your once-in-a-lifetime day outside – a marquee can be set up across the incredible grounds.
Celebrate across this vast and historic estate with the Grade I listed castle as your backdrop with its private moat and corner turrets dating back to the 15th century. For a more intimate celebration, curate a romantic event inside across the four reception rooms (two with open fires for atmospheric winter weddings). Alternatively, host your once-in-a-lifetime day outside – a marquee can be set up across the incredible grounds.

We ask that you please use our preferred suppliers - they have done events with us previously and know the grounds and space well, so will be best positioned to give you the best level service to create your gathering!
Flexibility on Duration
There is a minimum stay of 4 nights for weddings.
Children
Children are welcome. The venue does not offer childcare services.
Other Information
There are no specific restrictions on décor and themes, bring your creative ideas!
We do ask guests to be mindful of our neighbours who are not right on our doorstep, but within sound disturbance distance. Therefore we ask that the music be indoors after midnight with volume levels of 80dB, with levels going down to 60dB at 1am.
Security measures are limited. As always, guests are responsible for their own belongings.
Please note that any event rental may be subject to additional charges, venue hire fees and to a higher security deposit, which will be in addition to any published rental rates and fees.
All events are on request only and subject to prior agreement from the owner, who reserves the right to refuse all events without their prior authorisation.
