High End Dream Wedding Venues:
1. Chateau d’Aleny, Burgundy
Reception Capacity: 50-200 inside, 200+ outside (sleeps 34 on site)
Wedding Cost: Quotes upon application only
The beautiful Chateau d’Aleny is located in South Burgundy, close to the region’s best vineyards. The property has recently been fully refurbished by renowned designers who have tastefully mixed period furniture with modern and luxurious features. The main house can accommodate up to thirty guests and the Orangery can host large receptions with no time limit.

2. Chateau Le Duc, Dordogne

Built in 1840, Chateau Le Duc sits in 12 hectares of glorious grounds that make the perfect setting for a sumptuous French wedding. The chateau itself a beautiful example of 19th Century French architecture (it once belonged to the Duke d’Isly, and legend has it that Napoleon himself stayed here) and the owner has over 10 years of catering experience – so you can be sure your meals will be as sumptuous as your surroundings! 3. Chateau Villermaux, Provence

Keep it to yourself, but Chateau Villermaux is not only one of the best kept secrets in Provence, it’s one of the top wedding venues in the world thanks to its unique surroundings and the exemplary standard of services it offers! Chateau De Valjoyeuse is one venue where you can really revel in luxury! 5. Chateau des Nuits Blanches, Gascony

Found in the land of Armagnac and foie gras, the 12th Century Chateau des Nuits Blanches prides itself on a warm welcome, its sense of history and the glorious landscapes that surround it. Your guests will marvel at the comfort of the colourful and inviting interiors, and the chateau’s converted outbuildings provide the ideal space for a sumptuous reception, with enough room for hundreds of guests! Chateau des Nuits Blanches also produces its own limited quantities of red and white wine, and if you’re looking for a real talking point for your wedding, they can be labelled especially for your day to enjoy during the meal or for your guests to take home as a unique memento.

1. Chateau De St Jean, Vendee & Charente
Reception Capacity: Up to 300 outside (sleeps 51 on site)

At Chateau De St Jean you really can create the fairy-tale wedding of your dreams! It’s the ideal setting for destination wedding parties, and your family and friends will surely cherish the memories of the grand driveway, enchanting interiors and rooms fit for royalty! The detached 200-seat banquet hall is the perfect venue for larger wedding receptions, and can be used separately or in conjunction with the chateau or with celebrations in the park – whatever your preference!
Need some unique wedding ideas? The ceremony could take place in the fantastic King Alley, a dreamlike, tree-lined lane acts as a natural church and is truly unique. You and your guests could take cocktails on the grass in front of the chateau, then later indulge in some dinner on the colonnade terrace, accompanied by the sunset and your own choice of band!
2. Chateau De La Croix, Vendee & Charente

The Guardian called the Chateau de la Croix “One of the top 5 luxury villas to rent in France” and it’s hardly a big surprise – if you choose this magnificent property for your destination wedding you’ll be joining the Hollywood elite, who have been known to pop in for a bit of R&R on occasion.
The turrets and towers of Chateau de la Croix provide a magical backdrop for a dream wedding, and this is one venue that’s perfect if you’ve got a big family. The property appeals to all ages but is especially good for kids – there’s plenty of nooks and crannies to keep them occupied (including a music room and cinema!) while everyone else gets on with the task of toasting the happy couple!

Peace and space are very much on the agenda if you choose to have your wedding at Chateau De Brabant, chiefly because you’ll have an amazing 300 acres of gardens and grounds to enjoy! Couple that with commanding neo-gothic architecture and an oak-panelled dining room that’s straight out of a period drama and you’ve got one wedding venue that’ll satisfy even the most demanding of grumpy maiden aunts. 2. Chateau De Seyres, Vendee & Charente

Split into two distinctly decorated wings, Chateau De Seyres comes fully equipped with every modern convenience and comfort without sacrificing any of its historic charm. Having helped arrange and cater many weddings in the past, the chateau has many strong links with florists, caterers, musicians and entertainers around Vendee and Charente, so getting the best deal is made a whole lot easier! And speaking of entertainment, the two wings of the chateau are linked by a music room containing a Pleyel grand piano, so if anyone knows how to tickle the ivories the entertainment could already be sorted!
3. Chateau Belle Vie, Picardy & Nord-Pas de Calais

This stunning chateau is fantastic value for money and makes for an intimate and memorable venue – the equivalent in the UK would probably be about three times the price! The cost seems even more amazing when you consider Chateau Belle Vie amazing interiors including decadent bedrooms, an impressive entrance hall and lush gardens to match.
