About the surrounding area of Villa SoladaVilla Solada is in a chic resort, surrounded by tropical greenery and glistening sea views at every turn; guests will have the sense of having chanced upon their own private idyll, set on the almost unknown beach, Natai Beach, which stretches to almost 10km just 6km north of Phuket Town.
While the bright lights of Phuket are just a short distance away, and the stunning islands of the Phrang Nga Bay are just a boat ride away, this stunning beach offers tranquillity and seclusion away from the bustle and commercial development of other parts of Thailand.
Visitors can enjoy unspoilt peace among coconut groves and secluded lagoons, or the dazzling sites and temples of Phuket. Nestled on the Andaman Coast in the south of Thailand, Phuket is the country’s largest island and has drawn visitors for decades, while some of the islands in Phrang Nga Bay are virtually untouched by man and haven’t seen modern life.
From buzzing nightlife to bustling markets with street food and local crafts to adrenaline-pumping watersports, or the tranquillity of the national parks or a taste of Thailand’s spiritual temple life, this region has something for everyone.
With more than 30 beaches to choose from, among its most famous are Patong Beach, Kata, Karon and Kamala; however, travellers exploring further north will find some hidden gems off the beaten track.
From Phuket, guests can enjoy a trip to the world-famous Phi-Phi islands, (featured in the 2000 film “The Beach”), and in particular, Phrang Nga Bay is a unique spot to visit. Its striking sheer limestone cliffs that jut vertically out of the glittering emerald waters, leaving lasting memories. Set on jade waters of the Andaman Sea, the Phrang Nga islands are a must-see when in the region. With around 40 islands scattered across the bay, including the famous “James Bond” island, the Ao Phang Nga national park covers nearly 250 square miles of islands with limestone cliff faces, green lagoons and impeccable kayaking conditions.
Kata Beach is one of the region’s finest, and offers plenty of opportunity for water sports, from snorkelling to diving to paddle-boarding. Kata is also known for its beautiful viewpoints (with Kata Viewpoint being one of the region’s most visited), its lively nightlife scene and its vibrant night market.

At just 1km from the beach, Kata Temple offers a cultural insight into the island’s spiritual side, which will be an intriguing experience for little ones, while gentle jungle treks can be arranged.
One of Thailand’s biggest and best water parks - Splash Jungle Waterpark - is an unmissable family day out, with an adrenaline-pumping selection of slides, rides and attractions, they will come back tired out and replete ready for a stunning meal in one of the resort’s family-friendly eateries.
For a change from the beach days out, Phuket Aquarium houses thousands of tropical, colourful and exotic marine creatures. Children can enjoy an up-close view of fascinating sea life. Phuket’s Trickeye Museum is also popular amongst youngsters and the iconic “upside-down house” is well worth a visit.
