Villa Ya Chai is a honey-coloured, timber carved vision of comfort and style; like a treehouse in the sky, it offers a dazzling get-away, where the ocean breezes sift into living spaces and the pool blends into the sky-line.

This four-bedroom home offers striking proportions and is the jewel in this resort’s crown. Each bedroom (3 doubles and one twin) has an en-suite bathroom, while its stand-alone position enables both tranquillity and easy access to the resort amenities.
Quirky “upside-down” layout set across 3 sumptuous storeys offers a refreshing and airy feel, with the entrance to this dazzling on the top floor - which also boasts private terraces from both top floor bedrooms, complete with an outdoor bathtub for the master bedroom. About the surrounding area of Villa Ya ChaiVilla Ya Chai is in an unparalleled spot, overlooking the ocean in Ko Yao Yai island. This island is a hidden gem in the Andaman Sea, halfway between Phuket and Krabi. It's known for its sandy shores, dense and luscious mangroves forests, rubber plantations and fishing villages.
For a taste of “real” Thailand, this idyllic island is perched only 50 minutes from Phuket International Airport by car and speed boat. The journey there makes it all worth it: sublime natural beauty that makes is ultra tourist worthy, yet it remains an undiscovered gem.
Stepping away from the bustling crowds, Ko Yao Yai island is known for its immaculate beaches, rubber and coconut plantations, its rich waters offering stunning coral and excellent diving conditions, local village culture and relaxed pace of life.
Friendly and relaxed, visitors can get around with a tuk-tuk or a scooter, simply stop off at hidden beaches, while snorkelling, sea kayaking and diving are all available, as well as jungle trekking through dense and unspoilt nature.
Some may call it Thailand’s last unspoilt island, it is a refreshing change from the glitzy sights and neon lights of commercial Thailand. Awash with rubber farms, (with tapping buckets hanging from trunks and square sheets of rubber drying on the ground), water buffalo, cockerels, farmers and fishermen huts, while this sleepy island is rich with local life.
Village life and local Muslim culture is a very visible part of the local culture; five times a day, the call to prayer rings out in melodic tones, while visitors may be lucky enough to chance upon a secret beach. The more popular Laem Had and Ao Muong are ideal for sunset strolls, while the lesser-known ones are populated by local children and fishermen hauling in their catch of the day.

Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Ya Chai is a perfect choice for families travelling with children; it offers excellent resort services, impeccable attention to detail, beautiful location and access to the safe and uncrowded lesser trodden island of Koh Yao Yai.
The Kids Club is run by friendly local professionals, who are dedicated to the warm and personal care of children, children can attend for part of the day, or the whole day, and will receive delicious and healthy snacks. Open from 9 - 6 daily, there is a playhouse, trampoline, merry-go-rounds, slides and swings, as well as gentle walks to see the buffalo bathing or cookery classes.
Taking a boat tour through Phang Nga Bay will be a magical and unforgettable experience for children; with white sand beaches, mysterious caves and hidden coves, dramatic limestone cliffs and uninhabited islands, they will learn so much!
Sea kayaking, snorkelling and boat trips are plentiful, while the locals at Koh Yao Yai are friendly, welcoming and very family-minded.
