Set in beautifully landscaped gardens, Villa Girada is a trendy, modern villa that is just perfect for families or groups of friends wanting to chill out and enjoy the Menorcan sunshine. It offers three bedrooms, wonderfully contemporary living space and superb outdoor space.
This fabulous villa sits in a tranquil spot, just 600 metres from Binisafua Beach and only 800 metres from the famous fishing village of Binibeca. It is a wonderful spot where you can enjoy the charm of the old fishing village, swim, snorkel and explore caves, dine alfresco at some wonderful restaurants or head into the island’s vibrant capital Mahon. Binibeca is a wonderful, peaceful holiday destination with a smart horizon of attractive whitewashed architecture and a scattering of kayaks waiting by the shore as gentle waves roll into this picturesque cove. Its three-kilometre stretch of glistening silver sand starts at Binibeca Vell in the west, through Binibeca Nou and into Cala Torrent in the east. Binibeca is home to a wonderful selection of laid-back restaurants and bars as well as a fabulous array of souvenir shops and supermarkets. It boasts a dive centre and offers watersport equipment rental and cycle rental.
Villa Girada is beautifully presented with sumptuous furnishings and a calm, elegant colour palette. It is bright and airy and super cool. Here you will make wonderful holiday memories and truly relax. Mostly in white, the open plan living area is superb, with a row of floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening to the terrace and drowning the area in natural light. The living space enjoys two comfy sofas adorned with cushions, a television and some shelves. A trendy dining table comes next, followed by a contemporary kitchen which features some vivid red colour splashes, excellent appliances and a sociable breakfast bar so that the chef in your group has company while they cook. There is some lovely artwork sprinkled around.
One of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor, a charming double with a comfy bed and direct access to the garden. The remaining two bedrooms are located on the first floor. The master offers another beautifully dressed bed and an ensuite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The final bedroom is a fun twin which is perfect for children. There is a second bathroom for the other guests, beautifully tiled with a bath and overhead shower.
Outside, guests enjoy alfresco dining on the shaded terrace using the built-in barbecue. Also, under the shade is a smart lounge area. Sun worshippers can laze on sun loungers by the pool, enjoying their books as well as the beautiful garden views. Villa Girada offers a lovely tranquil spot, just moments from a stunning beach.
What you should know…

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa GiradaVilla Girada enjoys a tranquil position just moments from the beautiful Binisafua Beach. This is a privileged residential area just 800 metres from the famous fishing village of Binibeca. There are some lovely bars and restaurants pretty much on the doorstep and a supermarket in Binibeca itself. The beautiful beach of Binibeca offers fine white sand, shallow turquoise water and rocks, making it great for snorkelling. In the summer months, there are kayaks, paddle boards and electric fun boats to hire as well as sun beds, parasols and a popular ice cream stand. There are also tennis courts, bars and restaurants to enjoy. Binibeca is separated into Binibeca Nou and Binibeca Vell and the old traditional Menorcan fishing village closest to the villa, all in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The picturesque village boasts many whitewashed villas adorned with colourful flowers. Local suppliers offer their produce at markets held near the fisherman's village. The atmospheric labyrinth of cobbled streets is lined with unique boutiques selling leather goods and jewellery. Splash Sur Menorca is only 2km away, a brilliant, thrilling adventure for the whole family.
The town of Sant Luis is 5 kilometres away, where you can visit the Binifadet wineries. You will taste delicious wines as well as their famous wine jelly babies. San Luis is a fascinating town which was founded by the French in 1761 and built around its large whitewashed church. The Es Moli de Dalt windmill is fully restored and open to the public.
The picturesque capital of Mahon is just 10 kilometres from the villa and is definitely worth a trip. You can take a bus if you prefer not to drive. Mahon is a lively city rich in history, culture and entertainment. You will discover the pretty 18th-century Gothic Carme church close to the Placa Espanya. The 18th-century Xoriguer Gin Distillery is popular, and there are many independent shops selling leather, pottery and clothes, all great souvenirs! The early morning fish market is brilliant. Mahon enjoys a fantastic reputation for its upmarket nightlife and waterfront bars and clubs.
Son Ganxo is located on the southernmost point of Menorca, between Binibeca and Punta Prima. It was originally a small fishing village but has now grown into a charming hamlet with lovely coastal views over to the lighthouse on the little island of Isla Del Aire. It enjoys a delightful cove where you can dive and swim from the rocks and swimming platform. Punta Prima is just minutes away with its fine sands and resort centre.
At the other end of the island, Ciutadella is Menorca’s second city boasting a picturesque port and an engaging old quarter lined with grand, gold-tinged buildings. The medieval streets are brimming with palaces, churches and fortresses, as well as wonderful restaurants and bars. Placa d’es Born is one of the most picturesque squares in Ciutadella. The port is the spot for trendy waterside dining. If you get there early enough, you can watch the fishermen bringing in the local catch of the day. You can also catch a ferry from here to Alcudia in Mallorca. Ciutadella celebrates its local festival on 23 and 24 June each year. The party is one of the most spectacular festivals in Menorca, so if you happen to be in Menorca then, you really shouldn’t miss it.

THE REGION
The quiet and idyllic resort of Binibeca is a very popular smaller resort on the beautiful south coast of Menorca and is a perfect choice for holidaymakers wanting to escape the noise and crowds of other more developed areas. You will not find any skyline-destroying hotels or large holiday complexes here, most accommodations being in private villas and apartments.
Today, Binibeca stretches 3 km along the coast and includes the original ‘Binibèquer Vell’, or an old portion, as well as the new portion of ‘Binibèquer Nou’- a natural progression with many of the homes and villas in keeping with the original design. At the very eastern point of Binibeca, you will also find Cala Torret, a small village which feels separate but is actually part of it.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Girada is ideal for families. It is very peaceful, very close to the beach and very spacious. Children love the pool and garden. Both Binisafua Beach and the main Binibeca Beach are wonderful. You will find a good range of watersports and some courses on offer. Binebeca Diving offers courses for diving and snorkelling as well as hiring kayaks, paddle boards and other equipment. There are many caves to explore and incredibly colourful fish to spot.
You can take glass-bottomed boat trips from various resorts to explore underwater life and rocks. Watersports centres can also be found at Fornells, S’Algar and Son Xoriguer, as well as Binibeca. You can even arrange horse riding on the beach at Cala Galdana and several other beaches and enchanting woods.
The fabulous Splash Sur Menorca is an excellent waterpark just 2 km from the villa. There are exciting aquatic attractions for the whole family, including thrilling slides, pools, a lazy river, a water playground and much more. It is an incredibly popular attraction within easy reach.
Aquarock at Cala en Bosch is a collection of water fun, electronic amusements, trampolines and Go Karting. The water park at Arenal Den Castell at the Marina Park hotel is also open to visitors. It has a lazy river, wave pool, splash pools, as well as slides and tubes. Club Sant Jaime is a waterpark open to all with water chutes, various pools, including a baby pool and bars and cafes. Aquapark Los Delfines is another water park with wet and dry fun.
Children also enjoy catching the little summer train that runs from Binibeca Vell through Binibeca Nou, Binebeca Torrent and Punta Prima, another popular resort. Punta Prima enjoys a fabulous beach and the Barcelo Pueblo Water Park, which offers more thrilling entertainment for children yet. They love the meandering lazy river as well as plunging down the slides and tunnels. Younger children are very happy in the water playground.
The famous Isla Del Aire is a small island with a lighthouse and a small harbour for yachts. It is very popular for swimming, sailing and scuba diving.
Menorca’s zoo has a range of native species from the island and exotic animals from all over the world, and it is a good afternoon out. It features several walks through landscaped enclosures where animals roam free and small children can see easily.
