Villa Ses Covetes is a charming, characterful rural home with a private pool, set in a secluded spot in the south of the island. This sumptuous home blends both rustic features with contemporary verve, creating a unique retreat.
The outdoor spaces are sublime and elegantly executed; the dazzling pool is framed by a bright poolside lounging area where tall, swaying palm trees and colourful blossom create cool and shade. Generously proportioned, guests can spread out, within a secluded and private space away from the bustle of crowds or resort life.
Al fresco dining will be a pleasure, with excellent built-in barbecue, set among the traditional style courtyard space, amid fragrant lemon trees, cacti and cobbled flooring, leading onto the shaded and cool veranda which is ideal for evening meals.
The interiors have a traditional, farmhouse-style appeal, with exposed timber beams, terracotta tiled flooring and wooden shutters. This cosy, homey and inviting villa provides generously proportioned living space - a huge dining table and endless natural daylight.
Full of rustic charm and original flavour, the use of local stone and timber and the solid finish retains the rustic farmhouse feel throughout. Warm in winter, and cold in summer, the living room is very much a “snug,” comfortably furnished; an ideal retreat from the world. The kitchen, again has a very traditional feel to it, home-like and cosy, it also provides all the necessary appliances and fittings, and has a kitchen table ideal for informal meals or children’s snacks.
The bedrooms are tranquil and understated; three bedrooms each with its accents of colour or design quirks, with quality cotton bedding and ever so quiet and calm, guests are guaranteed a restorative stay. There are two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom; the latter has an attic like feel to it.
Satellite television, wifi and top range kitchen appliances mean guests can enjoy both the rural experience along with all the necessary modern touches.

This home is only a few kilometres from the spectacular and renowned sandy beach of Sea Covetes and Es Trenc.
Es Trenc is not associated with a resort and thus is relatively wild and natural. There are two kilometres of golden sand and crystal clear waters - is often referred to as Majorca’s answer to the Caribbean.
Located in a tranquil spot, all essential amenities from beaches to bars, from restaurants to supermarkets are within five-six kilometres distance. The airport is forty kilometres away.
Ses Covetes is a purpose-built resort, with a simple village-like feel to it rather than being a buzzing nightlife destination. There are a couple of bars and restaurants, within this low key and relaxed part of Majorca.
Water sports and beach life are very much central to Majorca.
Cycling is a significant part of the tourism trade in this part of Majorca - it has become a central hub for those wanting to make the most of the diverse array of northern routes and rugged, beautiful scenery.
With safe, yet challenging, mountain roads and year-round temperate weather, cycling enthusiasts will find themselves among a like-minded biking community.
Golfers will be very much at home with an array of golf courses to select from.
Whether it be pilates, or paddle boarding, kite surfing or chartering a private boat to explore hidden corners of the coastline, the opportunities for sports and activities at all levels are endless.
Not so much known for its nightlife, this corner of Mallorca is very much a family-friendly destination, however many of the restaurants offer live music and party nights. The range of eateries is diverse, while all ages will be welcome in restaurants.

Hidropark is worth a day trip, for an array of “whizzy” rides offering adrenaline based fun or toddler appropriate splash pools, while Parc Natural de S’Albufera for gentle bike rides and birdwatching expeditions. Teens will enjoy activities such as kite surfing and kayaking, to spooky caving! Cliff jumping, mountain biking, scuba diving - the options are endless.
Further east, there are bewitching chambers of vast caves, safari encounters,
Mallorcans adore children; from playgrounds to child-friendly restaurants, children will not only be welcome but will be actively fussed over! Many restaurants offer inexpensive children’s menus - simple grilled meats, fries, spaghetti, and tortillas, not to mention ice cream! While those with more adventurous tastes may enjoy the local pa ambient oli - bread rubbed with olive oil, tomatoes and a variety of toppings.
Other highlights would be, Artestruz - where children can admire ostriches, Palma Aquarium, some eight thousand marine creatures to observe and delight over, to the Safari-zoo in the east.
Cars with car seats are pure to hire, usually for a per day fee.
Children will soon acclimatise to the Spanish way of life, where youngsters are very much part of the evening life, out in restaurants of an evening, playing in parks and squares while grown-ups gather with a cooling beer.
