Sa Cotxeria is a wonderful rustic style 2 bedroomed house that sleeps up to 4 guests. Set in a tranquil location with absolutely gorgeous views, you are only a short drive or a 30-minute walk from the wonderful town of Andratx and the charming village of S’Arraco, which can provide all the essentials you should need along with many charming restaurants, cafes and bars. At Sa Cotxeria you can enjoy idyllic surroundings and feel at one with nature whilst enjoying all the modern comforts this well-equipped Finca provides. This beautiful region offers an amazing authentic Mallorca experience with picturesque villages, fabulous beaches and stunning scenery; at Sa Cotxeria you are perfectly placed to enjoy all it has to offer.

Sa Cotxeria is really a chance to live the Mallorcan dream. Set in the mountains, surrounded by trees with beautiful views into a small valley, the only sounds you will hear are the chirping of birds, the bleating of goats and the clinking of ice when you sit and sip a long cool drink and breathe in the silence on your fabulous shady terrace. The house interior of whitewashed walls, exposed beams, classic tiles and simple, comfortable furnishings add to the feeling of immersing yourself into this magical area.

Downstairs, the charming living-dining space offers squashy oversized seating to relax in front of the satellite TV, and you can have hearty feasts at the large rustic dining table; it would be a shame not to sample local produce from the wonderful markets and local shops in the region. The spacious country style kitchen has all the essentials, including oven, five plate hob, microwave and freezer, and it’s a great place for breakfast at the cosy kitchen table, or you can step out to the gorgeous terrace where there are oodles of space to enjoy alfresco wining and dining. This is also a marvellous spot to relax in the comfy loungers under shady trees on lazy sunny days.

Upstairs there are two simple, cool and attractive bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds and a bathroom with a bathtub and overhead shower.

The property is family-friendly and is equipped with a baby cot.

The property enjoys free Wi-Fi and electric radiators, and ceiling fans in all the rooms. And there is space for parking. A bonus is having the use of a small indoor electric barbeque.

Sa Cotxeria is a lovely place to live a simple life in beautiful authentic surroundings, yet it is only a short drive away from lively towns, glorious beaches and the cosmopolitan delights of Palma. This feels like a real taste of Mallorca!

Sa Cotxeria is in the southwestern corner of Mallorca and only a 30-minute drive from the capital Palma. In a rural countryside position, the nearest towns are the charming village of S’Arraco and the magnet for the rich and famous the lovely town of Andratx. Each is only a short drive from the property, or if you are feeling energetic and fancy, a hike can be reached by foot in around 30 minutes.

S’Arraco is a lovely little village nestled at the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains. It is tranquil and serene and set in a valley surrounded by mountains and forests. With a population of less than one thousand, it offers traditional charm and tranquillity; there are wonderful local restaurants to enjoy and a cluster of pavement cafes perfect for people watching. It’s a great place to unwind.

Andratx town is surrounded by orange groves and almond trees. The town is very pretty with cobbled streets, shady squares, shuttered houses and an impressive historic church at the top of the hill with fabulous views overlooking Port D’Andratx.

Andratx is off the main tourist trail and will appeal to those who love to see the ‘real’ Mallorca; it has long been a favourite of discerning travellers who appreciate its beauty and authenticity, there are stunning private houses and villas dotted throughout the area, and there is a sophisticated edge so you can expect a great atmosphere in the wonderful local restaurants and bars.

There is a wonderful Market in Andratx every Wednesday (except holidays) offering a wide selection of fresh produce, clothes, crafts and flowers; this is the perfect place to sample local goods or find a unique gift.

Port d’Andratx is 6.5 km from the property and lies on a stunning coastal stretch. It's arguably one of the prettiest natural harbours in Mallorca. There is a buzzing atmosphere at this picturesque fishing port with lively bars and restaurants lining the water’s edge, and there are plenty of glamourous yachts to feast your eyes on, especially on the Club de Vela marina on the north side of the port. This is perfect people-watching territory!

Sant Elm to the east of Andratx boasts the largest sand beach in the southwest corner of Mallorca and is mainly soft white sand. There are plenty of amenities, and the area has a bohemian feel with artisan shops and restaurants serving tasty local dishes. You can catch a ferry across to the small uninhabited island of Sa Dragonera, which is a wonderful nature reserve and certainly worth a visit.

Golf de Andratx in Camp de Mar will delight all golf lovers with its championship-standard 18-hole course, and Hikers are really well catered for with a plethora of tours on offer designed to fully explore this stunning region.

If you are missing cosmopolitan delights, the amazing city of Palma is only half an hour’s drive away, and you will be spoilt for choice at the array of things you can do and see.

Sa Cotxeria is a gorgeous tranquil retreat perfect for exploring the southwestern corner of Mallorca; here you can experience a marvellous authentic taste of the island living away from the maddening crowds.

THE REGION

Andratx is an ancient Mallorcan town nestled in the valleys of the Tramuntana Mountain range and is home to one of Mallorca’s most interesting modern art galleries. Its quaint, narrow streets and rustic heritage make it a truly authentic place to visit - with a warm welcome for international visitors.

The nature surrounding Andratx is breath-taking; many visitors come to this part of Mallorca just to enjoy the mountains, valleys, forest and coastal scenery. This is a superb location to see some of the island’s best contemporary art, with several exhibition spaces, a good café, a tasteful gift shop and impressive grounds behind the building itself.

Sa Cotxeria’s rural location makes it a lovely place to take the kids, with plenty of outside space and wonderful countryside to explore nearby. The house offers a cool, calm relaxing retreat after exciting sunny island adventures.

A car is recommended in order to explore the region, and Mallorca, in general, is easy to drive around.

There are some fabulous beaches to visit, and probably the loveliest beach in this region is the Blue Flag winning Camp de Mar. with 180 metres of soft white sands and clear shallow turquoise waters. The kids are going to love the little island reached by a wooden bridge (and the adults will love the tempting cocktail bar!) and the town itself is a lovely Majorcan gem loved by the rich and famous so keep your eyes peeled!

Sant Elm is another wonderful beach with soft sands and shallow waters with a lifeguard and plenty of amenities. Whilst here, you can take the ferry to Sa Dragonera, an island that looks like a dragon rising up out of the sea. The kids will love this nature reserve with paths all across the island, and they are going to have lots of fun spotting the little lizards on this Dragon Island!

There are loads to see and do in the capital Palma, and it only takes 30 minutes by car. The Palma to Soller wooden train trip is very popular, and kids big and small love it! The wonderful antique railway runs from Palma through the Tramuntana Mountains to the pretty little town of Soller on the northwest side of the island, and the train passes through 13 tunnels, goes over a 52-metre long viaduct and rises to a height of nearly 200 metres – the scenery is beautiful!. The train departs from the Plaza de Espana in Palma each morning. The one-way journey takes about an hour. (Please note they only take cash for tickets).

After exploring Soller, you can take a 15-minute ride by tram to the lovely Port de Soller, which has a wide sandy bay and plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy.

Set in a 9 hectares pine forest, The Jungle Park in Santa Ponsa is a great day out for the kids; this is the largest tree adventure park in the Balearic Islands and is suitable for adventurous kids aged four and above, have fun moving from tree to tree using bridges, ropes and lots of long zip wires!

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €300 charged to client’s credit card by the owner before/upon arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.
Arrival time 4 pm
Departure time 10 am
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Linen & towels included? Bed linen, bath and pool towels are included in the rental price.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included in rental price.
Minimum stay 7 nights
Changeover day Saturday during peak season.
Pets welcome? On request only and with prior agreement with the owner.
Smoking Allowed? Not permitted.
Tax Balearic Eco Tourist Tax of €2.20 per person per night for over 16's is not included in the rental price and will need to be paid locally in cash on arrival.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.

  • Very nice quiet accommodation

    The finca was very nice and quiet. From time to time you could hear goats. Daily we were visited by cats - to the delight of our dog :-) The access road to the finca had its charm. However, you should not have a rental car that is too big. The equipment is absolutely sufficient. Nothing was missing. The cleanliness was also good. Anytime again!

    The finca has surprised us more than positive. Often it is so that everything is worn and used, but here that is a dream. The view from the terrace in the small valley, wonderful. In addition, much peace and quiet among chirping birds, bleating goats and cats. With dog no problem. The finca itself lovingly equipped. Nothing was missing. More than a good address.
