Lanzarote Rural is just a 5-minute drive from the centre of Tias, a region often commended for its large selection of historic and entertaining landmarks. If you consider yourself an avid European literature lover, a trip to Casa Museo Jose Saramago is a must-do activity. This grand house also acts as a museum that celebrates the life and works of this prolific author. Saramago is best recognised for winning the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1998, mainly due to his best-selling works like Blindness and The Gospel According to Jesus Christ. THE REGION

Puerto del Carmen is the main tourist town on the island of Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain. It is part of the municipality of Tías. Most of Lanzarote's over 1 million visitors per year choose this town as their destination. As a result, it remains Lanzarote's most popular resort, now sprawling along 7km of the island's south-central coast.

With sunshades, four lanes deep, and just 10-minute drive southwest from the airport, Lanzarote's original purpose-built resort is a primarily British-geared hub packed with bars, restaurants, clubs, jet skis, dive schools, banana boats, sports screens, and plenty of shopping.
