About the surrounding area of Casa FlamencosThe Los Flamingos Golf resort is part of the Villa Padierna Palace Hotel. The Flamingos Golf Club was designed by the renowned architect Antonio Garcia Garrido and played host to significant matches. The golf course is perfectly elevated to admire the beautiful views of not only the Mediterranean but also Africa and Gibraltar. The course is lovingly designed and crafted in Tuscan style with pine, olive, cypress and chestnut trees, Roman columns, statues and marble bridges. If you get bored of this incredible course, Alferina Golf Club and Tranmores are further courses within the complex of the hotel.
Villa Padierna Hotel has the luxury of a palace and boasts one of the largest spas in Europe with incredible wellness programmes, a team of experienced therapists, an impressive beauty centre, a fully equipped gym and a marvellous Aromatic Spa Circuit. Best Suited For: All AgesMarbella has a huge selection of sandy beaches, perfect for families but be aware that some of the beaches such as Cabopino are used by naturists and not suitable for children. Playa Fontanilla is a very good option as it is close to the city centre, just past the Marbella Marina and has many cafes, shops and restaurants. Naguelese beach is also popular with families with pedalos and water sports available.
Funny Beach Marbella amusement park is very enjoyable. You can jet ski, fly board, go-kart, jump on the bouncy castles, use the pedal or inflatable boats or try your skill on the Wave X ramp.
The boulevard in San Pedro Alcantara offers three playgrounds for children with wooden horses, padded hills to climb, swings, a zip-line and it is also perfect for biking or rollerblading. The wonderful architectural bridge curves to match the waves and mountain scenery. At the Marbella end of the boulevard is Happy Days Costa del Sol with a 9-hole mini-golf course and an ice-skating rink.
Older children might enjoy a hike on the Los Cuchillos trail, with spectacular views across the mountainous scenery. It is so beautiful. Also beautiful is Turtle Lake. It is popular and has lush foliage, many trees and glorious views. The lake is home to many water birds as well as the famous turtles.
