Villa Marciana is a warm and family-friendly holiday home for up to six guests, situated within a quiet neighbourhood close to the town of Calpe on the Costa Blanca.
Full of the classic charm of a traditional Spanish home, Villa Marciana offers a relaxing base for your holiday. Rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, with plenty of modern facilities for convenience. The living room is bright and spacious and offers enough comfortable seating for all the family to get together. There is a television and DVD player for enjoying movie nights, with a connection to the dining room, which contains a circular table and iron fireplace. This area is ideally positioned in front of several windows, letting in lots of light while you enjoy a delicious meal. A fully-fitted kitchen is equipped with everything you need for your stay, including an electric oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and coffee machine.
There are three bedrooms in total at Villa Marciana. All of them have a double bed, with two also featuring lovely ensuites, one with a bathtub and one with a shower. There's also the main family bathroom with a shower that the third bedroom can use.
To the exterior of the villa is a partially-covered terrace with an outdoor dining table, which is great for when you want to dine outside and enjoy the heat. You also have a barbecue at your disposal, giving you the chance to make delicious meals with some local fish and seafood. Furthermore, guests will surely want to take a dip in the private swimming pool or relax on a sun lounger to soak up the Spanish sun. The lawned area is surrounded by a wall, offering a sense of privacy.

- There are other properties nearby, but the garden is well-screened and private
- Not all bedrooms have ensuite facilities, but the bedroom that doesn't has access to the shared shower and toilet
- The pool is not fenced, so children should be supervised at all times

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa MarcianaVilla Marciana is approximately 3 km away from the centre of Calpe, so you can jump in the car and be in town stocking up on groceries in less than 10 minutes. There's a great choice of shops and supermarkets in Calpe, as well as plenty of restaurants for evening meals out. Being a seaside resort, Calpe has its share of sandy stretches. The most popular beach is probably Playa de la Fossa. It boasts fine, golden sand and calm waters that are perfect for swimming or snorkelling. We all know relaxing is hard work, so when you decide to stop for lunch, you'll find a long promenade that's full of places to grab something to eat. There are also some shops for picking up souvenirs.
Be sure to visit the majestic Penon de Ifach, a limestone rock and protected park that rises out of the sea at one end of the beach. It's home to hundreds of different species, including a variety of birds and seabirds, as well as many rare plants. Climb right to the top if you're feeling energetic and be rewarded by stunning views over the sea and town.
The town of Calpe itself is full of history and has an old centre packed with Roman ruins and Gothic churches to visit. Outside of the old town area, there are also several fascinating museums to stroll around, including the Museum of Archaeology.
Benidorm is only a 30-minute drive from the villa, and you might be surprised at what it has to offer families with children. Far from being just a party town, it has a historical centre with plenty of culture and charm, with numerous theme parks and zoos in the area too. In the other direction is the town of Javea, with a quaint old town, lots of history and restaurants on offer, and another stunning long stretch of beach.

Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Marciana suits families with children perfectly. Being within a quiet neighbourhood provides security and peace of mind, and the outside space is well-screened for privacy.
Children of all ages will love playing in the swimming pool, the novelty of al fresco dining and the opportunity to enjoy barbecue lunches and dinners. For a bigger body of water to play in, there are plenty of beaches nearby that are within a short drive.
Around 30 minutes from the villa by car is Terra Mítica in Benidorm. This amusement park is themed around several ancient cultures, including Roman and Greek. The whole family will find something to enjoy here, as there are a variety of rides to suit all ages - and bravery levels! Family rides and live shows are also available if more low-key activities are what the children prefer.
