Overview

Pool Villa/House
Great Value
Ideal for Kids Parking Space

Situated on the scenic Jalon Valley hillside, Villa Alca enjoys an elevated perspective with panoramic views stretching over the diverse landscape. Surrounded by meadows and vineyards, its beautifully-maintained garden and private pool offer the ideal place to enjoy a relaxing break beneath the Mediterranean sun.

Set off a quiet street, Villa Alca is arranged over two levels, with a large south-facing terrace and pool area that opens out to the views beyond. Recently built, the interior is bright and spacious, with a large living-dining area on each floor featuring modern, well-equipped kitchens. The main entrance is on the upper level, where an expansive living room is decorated with stylish bohemian furnishings, and a couple of sofas invite you to sit and enjoy beautiful views framed by the large sliding doors that open onto the upper balcony. Leave the doors ajar to enjoy a gentle breeze, and laze on the sofa with a book while looking out across the mountain and landscape beyond. A smartly fitted kitchen and dining area open to a side terrace where a dining table sits beneath a pergola, offering the perfect spot to eat in the fresh air. There are also a couple of sun loungers and a small breakfast table tucked into the back of the terrace, where you can enjoy a more secluded position or sip a coffee in the morning sun.

There are three bedrooms on the upper floor, each minimally furnished with large double beds and inbuilt storage. The main bedroom has a lovely ensuite featuring both a bath and shower and double doors open to the terrace, where a couple of armchairs are perfect for sharing a bottle of wine in the evening. The other rooms also enjoy access to the terrace, and a shower room is shared between them.

A lift takes you to the lower floor, where a second living area enjoys plenty of natural light from the multiple openings leading out to the main patio and pool area. The kitchen sits in one corner, with a wooden dining table that comfortably seats ten, whilst, to the other end of the room, a large L-shaped sofa invites you to relax with a book or watch a movie on the adjacent TV. A corridor leads off the rest of the bedrooms, with four generous double rooms and two further bathrooms. There is also a utility room for laundry on this level.

The glorious terrace is bordered by leafy palms and Mediterranean plants, extending out from the villa, creating a peaceful setting to soak up the sun. A large outdoor pool invites you to cool off in the water, whilst a handful of sun loungers are positioned along its edge, where you can recline beneath the clear blue skies. To one end, there is a lovely dining area with a barbecue and outdoor table, making the perfect spot to enjoy lunch beside the pool or share an evening meal whilst admiring the scenic backdrop.

Whilst the villa is a single property, each floor offers a kitchen and living room, making it an excellent option for families wanting to stay together while having privacy.

Located at the foot of the hillside just outside the charming village of Alcalalí, Villa Alca is a short walk from the local amenities whilst having direct access to the area's fantastic hiking trails.

Forming part of the Jalon Valley, Alcali is a rich agricultural area, with fields filled with olive trees, vineyards and pretty orange groves. Walking through the town centre, you can still see the traditional facades of the old agricultural houses, originally built to store carts, and in the main plaza, the remains of the old town walls and its gates are still visible. There is an ethnological museum located in an old oil mill, where you can learn about the land's history and the essential process of cultivating olives and grapes. Be sure to visit the medieval Tower, a defensive structure that dates back to the 14th century, where you can enjoy the splendid viewing point to enjoy the panoramic vista across the countryside. Every Friday, a weekly food market is held in Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where you can buy fresh produce to enjoy back at the villa or try the famous sweets and pastries made from local almonds.

The nearby coastline is less than 30 minutes drive, with plenty of picturesque bays and hidden coves to explore. The town of Javea features a number of accessible beaches, whilst, to the south, you can discover the charming Cala la Fustera with its crescent of fine white sand and crystal-clear waters that are perfect for snorkelling. Enjoy a refreshing swim before heading up for lunch at the Mandala Beach Bar, where you can expect delicious plates of tapas or a large dish of classic paella while looking out over the sea. Passing through La Fustera, the Ruta Ecológica Benissa follows the coastline down to the larger town of Calp. Suitable for the whole family, the trail hugs the cliff tops, connecting the various rocket inlets and offering spectacular views up and down the coast.

Whilst the beautiful coastline has lots to enjoy, the countryside also offers a lovely landscape, and a 40-minute drive takes you up the winding mountain road to Callosa d'en Sarria. You can visit Fuentes del Algar from here and discover the cascading waterfalls and beautiful natural pools shaded beneath the forest. Wander under the tree canopy or swim in the fresh mountain water. Share a picnic on neighbouring rocks, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the unique, peaceful setting.

Slightly to the north on the other side of the Montgo mountain, the beautiful Jardí de l'Albarda offers a more manicured landscape. Modelled on the old Valencian Renaissance gardens, the beautifully-kept gardens are rich in vibrant Mediterranean plants, and you can wander the lawns and tree-lined terraces to discover trickling water fountains and colourful, ornate pavilions built in a variety of architectural styles.

Behind the crowds on the tourist beaches lie incredible mountains, hidden coves, vineyards and ancient villages that have yet to be discovered. You’ll also find some seriously swanky eateries and luscious spa experiences if you’re all about kicking back in luxury.
