The 2-bedroom holiday home Villa Frambuesa offers some spectacular sea views from its position on Tenerife’s northern coast. Located in the pretty town of Icod de los Vinos in the slopes of Mount Teide, this villa can accommodate up to four guests and features its own ocean-view private swimming pool.

This modern and comfortable house is located around 4km from the beach and has local amenities, including a supermarket less than 1km away. Spacious outdoor areas make the most of its coastal position, and includes a swimming pool available year-round, and terraces with sun loungers, a covered dining area and a barbecue. Panoramic sea and mountain views are all part of the charm of Villa Frambuesa.

Inside the house is a comfortable, open-plan living space with plenty of seating, a TV and wood-burning stove. A rustic kitchen forms part of the same space, complementing the summer kitchen found outside. You have an oven, hob, microwave, coffee maker and fridge freezer here. This area enjoys direct access out to the pool terrace.

The house also has two double bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed and ample storage space. A bathroom with shower is shared by the occupants of both rooms. Among the other amenities of this villa are onsite parking, a washing machine and free-to-use Wi-Fi.

A particularly picturesque town, Icod de los Vinos is surrounded by pine forests, and its views of the Atlantic Ocean and the majestic Mount Teide are certainly something to marvel at. Beautiful parks, a well-preserved Old Quarter and some dramatic, black-sand beaches give a flavour of Icod.

Perhaps its best-known attraction is the incredible Cueva del Viento, the world’s largest volcanic cave. Its Artlandya Doll Museum, home to more than 400 hand-crafted dolls, is also regarded as one of the best of its kind.

Icod de los Vinos is a pretty town on the northern coast of Tenerife, and certainly one worth exploring. Its natural beauty is its calling card, and while its attractions are perhaps low-key compared to some of the livelier resorts on the island, they are all the more intriguing for it.

The town sits in the shadow of Mount Teide and has the vast Atlantic Ocean lapping at its shores. Perhaps its best beach for visitors is Playa de San Marcos, a good family choice with some nearby restaurants. Some interesting museums and the breathtaking caves of Cueva del Viento provide more reasons to visit the area. The meticulous doll museum Artlandya and magical Museo de Malvasia are well worth a visit while you’re in town.

Down the western coast of the island, you will find its main resorts, easily accessible in less than one hour from Icod. Playa de las Americas is a haven for water-sports, beach life and nightlife, and has some good family attractions too. The Thai-themed water park, Siam Park, is perhaps a little more imaginative than most, while dolphin and whale-watching are sure to enchant both children and adults.

For all the fun to be had at the resorts, it’s the natural beauty that keeps people coming back to Tenerife. Hiking in the rugged Anaga Mountains comes highly recommended – a trail leading you from the Mercedes Forest to Punta del Hidalgo on the northern coast shows you a completely different side of the island.

The National Park’s 10-mile-wide volcanic crater dominates central Tenerife, with mighty Mount Teide reaching a peak of over 12,000 feet. The cable car trip is more than rewarding, as you survey the breathtaking scene over the Canaries.

There’s plenty for younger guests to love at Villa Frambuesa – this cosy villa has a large outdoor terrace where children can play in and around the pool, and they are sure to be mesmerised by the gorgeous ocean and mountain views. TV and Wi-Fi are available inside to keep them occupied when you want them to be.

You can introduce them to the beauty of the great outdoors in the vast Teide National Park, and perhaps take a cable car ride to the top of the mountain. The caves of Cueva del Viento are certainly worth a visit and only 3km from Icod de los Vinos.

If you plan to explore the rest of the island, you’ll find plenty more to please them. From water-parks to go-karting and wildlife parks, Tenerife is a great family destination. Whale and dolphin-watching trips, submarine safaris and a great science museum are among the things you can enjoy around the island.

End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Linen & towels included? Bed linen and bath towels are included in the rental price. Please bring your own pool towels.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access is included in the rental price
Minimum stay 7 nights during July and August, 3 nights during the remainder of the year
