Casa Pereda is a stunning three-bedroom villa situated in idyllic rural surroundings in Llanes, just 4km from the stunning Asturian coast. Accommodating up to six guests over two storeys, this traditional-style holiday home really stands out from the crowd with its bright exterior paintwork and exposed stone and offers everything you’ll need to enjoy a relaxing and memorable stay. The interior of the villa is spacious, light and airy, featuring a light, fresh colour palette throughout, beautiful tiled flooring, rich wooden accents, and comfortable soft furnishings.

On the ground floor, you’ll find an inviting lounge/diner with sumptuous sofas, a cosy fireplace and a TV - the perfect space for taking some time out after a busy day. There’s ample dining space for you and your guests, and from here, you have direct access to Casa Pereda’s porch area, an ideal spot for enjoying after-dinner drinks or a morning cuppa as you take in the stunning surroundings.

The villa features a charming, well-equipped kitchen that has all the appliances you’ll need to prepare meals for the whole family during your stay. You’ll also find a washing machine and tumble dryer, meaning that you can pack light and save some extra room in your case for all those souvenirs. There’s also a bathroom on the ground floor - a welcome addition when everyone’s trying to get ready at the same time in the mornings!

Casa Pereda has three double bedrooms on the first floor; two with a double bed and one with a trundle bed (which would be perfect for the kids). The main bedroom has an ensuite, with the other two rooms sharing a full bathroom, and all feature the same light, modern decor and stylish furnishings.

You’re sure to be impressed by the villa’s huge fenced garden, which offers guests plenty of space in which to relax and entertain. Here you’ll find lush, well-tended lawns, a stylish alfresco dining area with a built-in barbecue, comfortable garden furniture, and even a small children’s play area. Guests here are sure to enjoy reclining in the sunshine with a good book, indulging in some fun family games, or simply laying back and taking in the stunning mountain views.

Casa Pereda is situated in the small village of La Pereda in Llanes, a region of Asturias situated between Galicia and Cantabria along Spain's northern coast. Known for its dramatic landscapes, beautiful beaches, excellent food, and pre-romanesque architecture, Asturias is often overlooked as a holiday destination in favour of the south. But, if you're searching for somewhere green and pleasant, with ocean views, nature reserves, good food (especially the cheese!) - and even better cider and wine - Asturias is the place to be.

One of the top attractions in Llanes is Playa de Gulpiyuri, the beach without a sea - in fact, it is situated over 100m from the Cantabrian Sea. Often referred to as the 'world's smallest beach', this tiny, picturesque 40m stretch of golden sand is also often voted Asturias' best beach. Gulpiyuri (meaning 'water circle') is a natural monument surrounded by cliffs and featuring crystal clear waters. It is actually a flooded sinkhole whose water levels are entirely dependent on the tide, but mostly remain at knee height, making it popular with those who want to paddle rather than swim or who are visiting with young children.

Another beach that is popular with families is Cuevas del Mar (caves of the sea), which features milky-white sands, crystal clear waters and huge, piercing rock formations. This beautiful beach offers visitors a stunning landscape and good amenities, including plenty of nearby places to eat and drink, showers, toilets and good parking. There are lifeguards on duty here for extra peace of mind, but bathing here is relatively safe, with the gradual water depth and natural protection from the elements making it popular with those travelling with children.

Wherever you are on the coast of Asturias, you'll find plenty of opportunities to enjoy watersports such as surfing, waterskiing and wakeboarding, as well as scuba diving and snorkelling - but if you fancy travelling further inland, you'll discover even more activities to enjoy. Quadbiking and canyoning are popular pastimes with tourists here, as are hiking and horse riding.

Be sure to immerse yourself in the Asturian culture during your stay by enjoying the many fiestas that are celebrated in Llanes and the surrounding areas, where the townspeople don traditional costumes and enjoy folk dancing and music. With gastronomic festivals as well as religious fiestas taking place in the region, Llanes is a fantastic place for sampling some Asturian cuisine which is often rich in seafood, including squid, crab, lobster, mullet, scorpionfish, and anchovies. Cheese is also a staple of the region's cooking, with soft creamy queso de Vidiago, smoked Ahumado de Pria, and delicious goat's cheeses such as la Cuevona, all forming part of the delicious recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. Be sure to sample some Fabada while you're here (a cassoulet-type stew), as well as tortos served with picadillo and fried eggs - and make sure you wash it all down with a glass of local cider poured from a great height in the traditional way!

The youngest guests of Casa Pereda will delight in the property's wide-open interior and exterior spaces that include plenty of room to play and burn off some energy and even an outdoor play area. One of the villa's bedrooms features a trundle bed - ideal for two kids who are sharing, and there's also a cot available for extra convenience.

The grounds of Casa Pereda are enclosed and secure, giving parents peace of mind while they relax so that the kids can play safely, and there are some wonderful woodland walks to enjoy as a family in the immediate vicinity.

Llanes in Asturias is an ideal destination for a relaxing family holiday, with beaches galore, beautiful scenery, forests, gorges and hiking trails. Older children will enjoy all of the activities that are available in the area, from exploring caves and quad biking to horse riding, wakeboarding, and snorkelling - you're sure to find something for all ages to enjoy. If you plan to spend your days at the beach, you have plenty to choose from, including the famous Cuevas del Mar. This popular sandy stretch can get quite busy during the summer months, but it is well worth a visit with the kids who will enjoy the mixture of white sand and pebbles and calm to moderate swell. The beach features a lot of amenities that make it popular with families, including ample parking, a recreation area, showers, toilets, lifeguards, and places where you can get food and drink.

If you're looking for a quieter beach, it's worth seeking out the amusingly-named 'Playa de Poo' (pronounced 'Poe' in Spanish). This beautiful beach is ideal for children and non-swimmers, as the waters here are calm and shallow, and there are lots of rock pools and small caves to explore. There are good restaurants and parking facilities here, making it a convenient location to stay all day, and when the tide is out, the huge expanse of wet sand is sure to be a hit with young children who want to dig or build sandcastles.

Llanes also features two incredibly unique interior beaches that have no seashore, Cobijeru and Gulpiyuri - both of which have been declared natural monuments. The seawater makes its way through tiny tunnels in the limestone cliffs to these unusual beaches, and both make wonderful picnic spots for families who are holidaying with small children.

It can often be a challenge finding somewhere to eat out with the kids while on holiday, but Asturias is simply bursting with eateries and restaurants to suit all tastes; from tapas to corn tortos with a variety of delicious fillings, seafood, meat and vegetarian dishes - finding something to suit even the fussiest of young palates should be a breeze.

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €250 charged to client’s credit card by the owner upon arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.
Arrival time 5 pm. There is the possibility of a different arrival time, but only with prior agreement from the owner at least 3 days before arrival.
Departure time 11 am. There is the possibility of a late departure time, only during the off-peak seasons and with prior agreement from the owner.
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Complimentary Wi-Fi internet access is included in rental price. It is good to note that the speed is dependent on the local provider and technical issues may cause reduced speed or cut of service.
Minimum stay 7 nights during end-June to beginning-September. 2-3 nights during other periods.
Changeover day Flexible.
Pets welcome? On request only and with prior agreement with the owner.
Smoking Allowed? Smoking & Vaping are not permitted.
Tax Tourist Tax included in the rental price.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
