Each morning, bright blue skies and the gentle mountain breeze will draw you outside to the chalet’s landscaped garden, where you can sip a freshly brewed cup of coffee and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the natural world around you. A casual outdoor seating area on the wooden terrace offers a sunny spot for a private après-ski experience, with beautiful views of the mountains at sunset. There is also a covered outdoor dining area where everyone can gather together for leisurely evening meals during the summer months.
Inside the traditional wooden chalet, guests will find a warm and welcoming living space with an open-plan layout featuring a lounge area with a sumptuous sofa, a flat-screen TV and a wood-burning stove, inviting guests to curl up and unwind after a day spent enjoying the Portes du Soleil slopes and the fresh mountain air. A fully equipped kitchen offers everything you might need to prepare a home-cooked feast with the delicious local produce you have discovered, while the elegant dining area provides space for everyone to come together and discuss the day’s adventures.
There are four delightful bedrooms featured on the first floor of Chalet Romeo. Two beautiful double bedrooms offer relaxed, understated décor, perfectly encapsulating the effortless natural beauty of the surrounding area. Each of the bedrooms also features a well-appointed en-suite bathroom and direct access to a balcony, a great place for breakfast in the sunshine or a romantic glass of wine under the stars. Two charming twin bedrooms also boast balcony access and share a spacious bathroom.

Boasting a majestic Mont Blanc backdrop, the vast Portes du Soleil area encompasses twelve interconnected ski resorts with over 600 kilometres of slopes to suit all levels of experience. Here, skiers and snowboarders can spend sunny afternoons roaming between Morzine, Châtel and Switzerland.
A shuttle bus stop just five minutes away from Chalet Romeo provides easy access to the town centre and the beginning of the ski slopes. The Télécabine de Super Morzine is the chalet’s nearest ski lift, some 2.5km away, offering spectacular panoramic views. For young families, there are nursery slopes available in the town, while intermediate and advanced skiers can make the most of a variety of exciting blue and red runs. Morzine is also home to roughly 50km of cross-country trails. There are plenty of fantastic green and blue slopes around nearby Avoriaz, where novice skiers can spend the day progressing at their own pace and exploring in peace.
Later on, foodies will be thrilled to find a wide array of fabulous French and Swiss restaurants dotted across Morzine and the surrounding resort. Enjoy a delicious and hearty lunch on a sun-soaked terrace after a morning spent skiing in the fresh mountain air. Morzine offers a myriad of après-ski options for visitors to enjoy, ranging from cosy mountain inns to lively bars located in the heart of the town centre. During the winter months, the scenic village of Les Lindarets offers a dazzling white playground for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy. When warmer weather arrives, hundreds of goats roam the streets of this quaint alpine village in place of all the winter sports enthusiasts! Take care driving or cycling here in the summer, but do make sure to visit to take in this incredibly unique sight, accompanied by the dreamlike sound of chiming bells. Afterwards, visit the emerald waters of Lake Montriond, with its backdrop of immense cliffs and verdant woodlands. Specialist ski schools in the town offer first-time skiing lessons to children ages three years and older, with experienced childcare professionals available upon request before and after each lesson. Kids’ clubs provide a wide range of activities, while toddlers can enjoy the powder-soft snow of the town’s gentlest slopes.
The Lil’Stash is an eco-friendly snow park in nearby Avoriaz, nestled within the magical Proclou forest. With enchanting huts tucked away in the treetops, suspension bridges, adventure trails, sculptures and much more, this is the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon exploring. You may even spot Shreddie, the friendly yeti who lives in the park! If you wish to combine your visit with some time on the slopes, the Proclou green slope is a wide piste for beginners, with a family-friendly area arranged on one side. Gas barbecues are provided within the snow park for those who wish to enjoy a scenic picnic in the forest.
Warmer weather also brings a wealth of outdoor activities for children to enjoy in the French Alps. Younger visitors will be amazed by the stunning natural beauty of Montriond Lake, where they can enjoy swimming, paddling and canoeing to their hearts’ content, as well as plenty of activities on dry land, including pony riding experiences and mini golf. Later on, make your way home to Chalet Romeo in time to enjoy the sunset from the garden before snuggling up for a movie night in the mountains!
