It’s tucked away in the valley of Les Allues, one of the largest and most coveted ski destinations in the world. Experience incredible winter activities, charming bakeries, teeming restaurants, mini-markets and shops.

The living room is a vision of sublime woodwork. It features an elegant lounge area and soothing, minimalist decor. Large bay windows allow ample day light. The pièce de résistance is the crackling fireplace. Bask in its glowing warmth and spend quality time with your loved ones.
You are never short on entertainment, thanks to the TV and SONOS speakers. Kids have plenty of board games to keep themselves hooked for hours.

Dig into hearty meals at the dining table. If you’re visiting with toddlers, you can make them comfortable on the high chairs. The kitchen is roomy and well-furnished, with glossy countertops and wooden cabinetry. It includes a dishwasher, dryer and refrigerator. Whip up your own delicious fondue using the fondue appliance.
The chalet is also kitted with a boot warmer and parking space.
All five bedrooms are bright and airy, adored with stylish furnishing and scenic views.
The ground floor comprises a bedroom with two single beds, workspace and TV. There are three bedrooms on the first level, with en-suite bathrooms. Two of these come with two single beds, while the third has a double. Level three features the en-suite master, with a double bed and TV.
To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the chalet takes great pride in its ultra-efficient and courteous hospitality. If you’re arriving during the winter season, you are greeted with champagne and welcome basket. You’re given a fresh supply of linen and indoor slippers. Daily maintenance and end of stay cleaning are also offered.

About the surrounding area of Chalet FouineThe chalet is located in Meribel, a prime ski resort in the Valley of Allues. With over 600 kilometres of rolling pistes, it’s celebrated as one of the largest ski areas in the world.
Ski aficionados will savour the long, uninterrupted slopes of Mont Vallon, the Plattieres, the Tougnete and the Saulire. High-powered, ultra-modern ski lifts allow easy transportation back and forth.
The chalet is a short distance from chic boutiques, gastronomical adventures, magical fireworks and trendy nightspots. Take the Olympe gondola lift or the bus to the throbbing Meribel Centre. Adrenaline junkies are in for a treat, with exciting winter sports activities like snowshoeing, husky sledging and heliskiing.
Even if you run into bad weather, you have plenty of entertainment options. The Olympic Park by La Chaudanne features a 25-metre swimming pool, fitness centre, spa and climbing walls. Explore La Chaudanne and stop by its myriad of shops, eclectic restaurants and cosy pubs.
There are options for every kind of pocket. Grab lunch on the terrace of La Cantine d'Alvar, against an awe-inspiring backdrop of Mont Vallon. Sample authentic Indian food at Tsaretta Spice and creamy fondues at La Fromagerie.
Non-skiers can explore 25 kms of spectacular hiking trails across the valley. Witness charming villages, frozen lakes and majestic peaks. Post 3 pm every day, witness dazzling cabaret acts, singing performances and dancers in extravagant costumes at La Folie Douce Méribel-Courchevel.
Meribel Village is a scenic hamlet, slightly removed from Meribel Centre. A cocoon of tranquillity, it’s perched at an altitude of 1400 metres.
Marvel at its beautiful wooden and stone chalets. Explore its rustic chapel and feel like you have stepped into the pages of history. The village square is a township unto itself, with a free car parking, supermarket, bakery, sports shop and two restaurants. Sample traditional Savoyard cuisine and French gourmet at these. Listen to live music après ski at Lodge du Village.

The Resort
Méribel is a village with a true alpine heart. You won’t find blocks of hotels and purpose-built facilities here. Instead, the compact and lively town centre is picture-postcard perfect, and its atmosphere is quaint and fairytale-like. It is without a doubt the most romantic resort in the area and if you’re planning a couples holiday in the snow you’ll definitely want to take a closer look at Méribel.
At the centre of the world famous Trois Vallées (Three Valleys), Méribel makes up part of the largest ski domain in the world. Across the valleys, it has six sister resorts. You can either get a single-resort lift pass and keep to the fantastic beginner and intermediate terrain there, but you also have the option of purchasing a pass that covers the whole area.
The advanced lift system at Méribel will let you maximise your time on the snow and make sure you’re not waiting around in queues. With 67 runs to try out just in the resort itself, there is no time to be wasted. Just beware of the afternoon sun cutting things short on the west-facing slopes and prepare to get up with the sun if you’re after untouched powder. At it’s highest skiing point Méribel reaches an altitude of 2952 metres and the descent from this point is known to be one of the most scenic runs around.
Aside from the world-class skiing, Méribel is also known to be one of the liveliest resorts in the Three Valleys. Many of its residents and bar-owners (as well as plenty of its visitors) are expat-Brits who certainly know how to party. The après-ski scene here is truly top-notch!
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesThe chalet is family-friend in every sense. Little ones can build snowmen, play-fight with snowballs and enjoy a slew of activities like hiking, horse riding and cycling. After a long day outdoors, they can watch cartoons on the TV or keep themselves busy with a variety of board games.
Treat them to relaxing bubble baths in the luxurious tub or luxuriate in the outdoor jacuzzi. If you wish to arrange for high chairs or baby cots, the staff will be happy to help.
The chalet is at a striking distance from nursery slopes, delightful ice-skating rinks and other kid-friendly winter activities. The staff will be happy to help you with details about ski schools and kid-friendly ski areas in the neighbourhood.
Meribel is a joyland for the entire family, with many activities specially designed for kids. Head to Olympic Park and go ice skating on the rink. The little ones can show off their skills in the bowling alley which has a few lanes specifically meant for children over 3. Enjoy hours of splashy fun in the indoor swimming pool, which includes a kids’ section.
Make way into Cinéma du Mottaret, a cosy one-screen experience, which shows children’s films every evening. Take a memorable hot air balloon ride over snowy forests and jagged peaks at Courchevel Altiport, which is about 45 mins by car from Meribel Centre. Your kids will love taking pictures and sending their social media into a tizzy.
After all of this excitement, the little ones surely deserve treats. At Rond Point restaurant, they can enjoy the best ice cream sundaes in town. For something savoury, dip into a bowl of cheesy fondue at La Fromagerie.
