Overview
A treasure trove of wild snowy peaks, rolling pistes and high-end luxury, Chalet Dahu is a luxurious six-bedroom getaway for twelve guests. Located in scenic Hameau du Raffort, it’s part of the Les Allues valley — one of the largest and most privileged ski areas in the world.
The chalet combines the fairy-tale charm of an Alpine ski cottage with the facilities of modern living. Its tasteful wood-stone architecture blends perfectly with the surroundings, making you feel at one with nature.
The large, south-facing terrace on the second floor is blessed with unobstructed views of pine forests and snowy mountains. After a hard day on the slopes, spend relaxing time in the state-of-the-art wellness room. Take a dip in the indoor jacuzzi, followed by a soothing massage in the wellness room. Other facilities include an indoor swimming pool, hammam, swim spa and sensory shower.
The living room is bright and roomy, with stylish wooden furniture and comfortable lounge areas. The pièce de résistance is the immaculate central fireplace. Bask in its warmth and share stories from your day with loved ones. Indulge in a variety of entertainment, thanks to the TV with international channels. Kids will love watching their favourite moves in the home cinema.
The chalet is kitted with a ski room, boots warmer, cloakroom, laundry room, outdoor furniture and garage.
Whip up your very own fondue recipes using the fondue appliance. Relish cosy family meals at the large dining table. If you’re travelling with toddlers, you can make them comfortable on highchairs. The kitchen is open-plan and fully furnished, with glossy countertops and modern cabinetry. It includes a coffee machine, fridge, freezer and induction hobs.
All six bedrooms have wooden furnishing and stunning views. Four suites are located on the first floor, each with a separable double bed. They also include a wardrobe, office and ensuite bathroom. The fifth suite is on the third floor. It features a separable double bed and ensuite bathroom. Also on the third floor, the master bedroom has a separable double bed, office and ensuite bathroom. Walk out to the private balcony and savour breath taking landscape views.
To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the chalet takes great pride in its ultra-efficient housekeeping services. Upon arrival, you’re greeted with champagne and a welcome basket. You’re given a fresh supply of linen and indoor slippers. There is also end of stay cleaning.

The Resort
Méribel is a village with a true alpine heart. You won’t find blocks of hotels and purpose-built facilities here. Instead, the compact and lively town centre is picture-postcard perfect, and its atmosphere is quaint and fairytale-like. It is without a doubt the most romantic resort in the area and if you’re planning a couples holiday in the snow you’ll definitely want to take a closer look at Méribel.
At the centre of the world famous Trois Vallées (Three Valleys), Méribel makes up part of the largest ski domain in the world. Across the valleys, it has six sister resorts. You can either get a single-resort lift pass and keep to the fantastic beginner and intermediate terrain there, but you also have the option of purchasing a pass that covers the whole area.
The advanced lift system at Méribel will let you maximise your time on the snow and make sure you’re not waiting around in queues. With 67 runs to try out just in the resort itself, there is no time to be wasted. Just beware of the afternoon sun cutting things short on the west-facing slopes and prepare to get up with the sun if you’re after untouched powder. At it’s highest skiing point Méribel reaches an altitude of 2952 metres and the descent from this point is known to be one of the most scenic runs around.
Aside from the world-class skiing, Méribel is also known to be one of the liveliest resorts in the Three Valleys. Many of its residents and bar-owners (as well as plenty of its visitors) are expat-Brits who certainly know how to party. The après-ski scene here is truly top-notch!
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesChalet Dahu promises a gala time for kids. There is plenty of space for them to run amok, build snowmen and play-fight with snowballs. Take them for scenic hikes, horse riding and cycling adventures. After a long day outdoors, they can watch their favourite cartoons in the TV lounge or play indoor games. Treat them to warm bubble baths in the private jacuzzi. If you wish to arrange for highchairs or baby cots, the staff will be happy to help.
Nestled in an enviable location, the chalet is also at an easy distance from nursery slopes, delightful ice-skating rinks and other kid-friendly winter activities. The staff will be happy to help you with details about ski schools and attractions in the neighbourhood.
Meribel is a joyous draw for the entire family, with many activities specially designed for kids. Head to Olympic Park and spend a joyous time in the ice-skating rink. The little ones won't get enough of the bowling alley which has a few lanes specifically meant for children over three. Savour hours of splashy fun in the indoor swimming pool, which includes a kids’ section.
Watch children's films every evening at Cinéma du Mottaret, a cosy one-screen cinema hall. Take an unforgettable hot air balloon ride over snowy forests and majestic peaks at Courchevel Altiport, which is about 45-minutes by car from Meribel Centre.
After all of this excitement, the little ones surely deserve treats. At Rond Point restaurant, they can enjoy the best ice cream sundaes in town. If you’re in the mood for something savoury, dip into a bowl of hearty fondue at La Fromagerie.
