Surrounded by majestic snow-capped peaks, Chalet Bartavelle is a newly constructed four-bedroom winter getaway for twelve. Located in the highly coveted Plateau district of Meribel, it’s nestled in the valley of Les Allues, one of the largest and most sought-after ski areas in the world.

The chalet brings together the earthy charm of an Alpine ski cabin with the luxuries of modern living.

After a hard day on the slopes, spend some relaxing time in the indoor jacuzzi and sauna. Its high-quality wooden architecture matches perfectly with the surroundings, making you feel at one with nature.

Take in the view from the sprawling outdoor area, which is engulfed by lush coniferous trees and dramatic landscapes.

The living room is bright and airy, with glossy wooden furniture, comfy grey couches and elegant rugs. Enjoy the warmth of its cosy interiors you recount stories from the day. Large bay windows across several floors allow plenty of natural light.

Dig into hearty meals at the large dining table. If you’re travelling with toddlers, you can ask for high chairs to make them comfortable.

The kitchen is roomy and fully-equipped, with modern countertops and wooden cabinetry. It includes a coffee machine, fridge, blender, dishwasher and dryer. You can also whip up your own delicious fondue with the fondue appliance.

The chalet has a ski room, kitted with a ski cupboard and boot warmer. Other facilities include a garage, outdoor furniture and ample parking space.

All four bedrooms are bright and inviting, adorned with wooden furnishing. The master bedroom is located on the ground floor. It has a luxurious double bed and an en-suite bathroom, which includes a bathtub, walk-in shower, double sink, towel dryer, hair dryer and toilet. It has a private balcony, perfect for lazy morning coffees. Other amenities include a TV, wardrobe, dresser and chair.

Also on the ground floor, the second bedroom features a double bed. In addition, it has a TV, chair and 2 wardrobes.

On the first floor, the remaining two bedrooms are kitted with two single beds, and include TV, wardrobes and chairs. Both bedrooms have private balconies with panoramic mountain views. Both also have en-suite bathrooms, with walk-in showers, towel dryers, single sinks and toilets.

To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the chalet takes great pride in its ultra-efficient and courteous housekeeping services. Upon arrival, you’re greeted with a bottle of champagne and welcome basket. Scheduled cleanings during your stay, as well as end of stay cleaning are provided.

As part of Les Trois Vallées — the largest ski area in the world, Chalet Bartavelle offers a luxe winter experience unlike any other. A free shuttle only about 30 metres from the chalet provides direct access to the resort's centre.

The Resort

Méribel is a village with a true alpine heart. You won’t find blocks of hotels and purpose-built facilities here. Instead, the compact and lively town centre is picture-postcard perfect, and its atmosphere is quaint and fairytale-like. It is without a doubt the most romantic resort in the area and if you’re planning a couples holiday in the snow you’ll definitely want to take a closer look at Méribel.

At the centre of the world famous Trois Vallées (Three Valleys), Méribel makes up part of the largest ski domain in the world. Across the valleys, it has six sister resorts. You can either get a single-resort lift pass and keep to the fantastic beginner and intermediate terrain there, but you also have the option of purchasing a pass that covers the whole area.

The advanced lift system at Méribel will let you maximise your time on the snow and make sure you’re not waiting around in queues. With 67 runs to try out just in the resort itself, there is no time to be wasted. Just beware of the afternoon sun cutting things short on the west-facing slopes and prepare to get up with the sun if you’re after untouched powder. At it’s highest skiing point Méribel reaches an altitude of 2952 metres and the descent from this point is known to be one of the most scenic runs around.

Aside from the world-class skiing, Méribel is also known to be one of the liveliest resorts in the Three Valleys. Many of its residents and bar-owners (as well as plenty of its visitors) are expat-Brits who certainly know how to party. The après-ski scene here is truly top-notch!

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids Ideal for Teens

The chalet promises a gala time for little ones. They can build snowmen, play-fight with snowballs and indulge in a variety of activities like hiking, horse riding and cycling.

After a long day outdoors, they can watch their favourite cartoons in the TV lounge or play board games. Treat them to warm bubble baths in the luxurious tub. If you wish to arrange for high chairs or baby cots, our staff will be happy to help.

Blessed with an enviable location, the chalet is also at an easy distance from nursery slopes, delightful ice-skating rinks and other kid-friendly winter activities. The staff will be happy to help you with details about ski schools and kid-friendly spots in the area.

Meribel is paradise for the entire family, with many activities specially designed for kids. Head to Olympic Park and have a blast on the ice-skating rink. The little ones can show off their motor skills in the bowling alley which has a few lanes specifically meant for children over three. Enjoy hours of splashy fun in the indoor swimming pool, which includes a kids’ section.

Tuck into Cinéma du Mottaret, a cosy one-screen experience, which shows children’s films every evening.

Take an unforgettable hot air balloon ride over snowy forests and majestic peaks at Courchevel Altiport, which is about 45 mins by car from Meribel Centre.

After all of this excitement, the little ones surely deserve treats. At Rond Point restaurant, they can bite into the best ice cream sundaes in town. For something savoury, dip into a bowl of cheesy fondue at La Fromagerie.
