The living room with its cathedral ceiling is the heart of the apartment. The large sofas with grey and red details in the lounge area are perfect for a movie night under the wooden beams. The wood stove next to it with its enamelled cast iron finish is a little memento of French elegance.

You can enjoy your morning coffee on the wooden benches on the balcony, taking in the panoramic views of the several peaks surrounding the valley.

Spend late nights in the reading lounge, grab a bestseller from the library and sit at the large armchairs facing the bay windows. Enjoy the company of your favourite author and snow-capped peaks. 

If you’re travelling with a large family or group of friends, this apartment offers plenty of room.

Share your adventures on the slopes over a filling meal at the 10-seater wooden dining table. The fully-equipped kitchen is furnished with a subtle blend of wood and stone.

All bedrooms are comfy and inviting. The primary bedroom and two double bedrooms are en-suite. These have a bathtub, sinks, towel dryers, hairdryers and toilets. There is also a separate washroom for your use.

At the second level, you will find a living area with another reading lounge and two double bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a single bed. There is also an independent bathroom on this level.

What you should know…

  • This duplex apartment has a flight of wooden stairs connecting the levels. There is no elevator. Be mindful of this if you’re visiting with senior travellers. 
  • Kids must be monitored at all times.

Apartment Venturon is only 50 m from the nearest piste, Doron. The nearest ski lift Front de Neige / Snowfront is only 500 m away, with a ski only 110 m.

You can walk to the resort centre, located only 100 m away. From here, you can reach Chaudanne where several activities are organised throughout the year and state-of-the-art ski lifts will take you to any corner of the three valleys.

Stroll around Meribel and relish the Alpine architecture of the chalets and buildings of Les Trois Vallées.

In Meribel Center you'll find a dazzling variety of restaurants. If you're in the mood for traditional Savoyard cuisine, head to L'Abreuvoir in the town centre and enjoy local delicacies with a cocktail. If pizza is your comfort food, try Pizzeria Le Spot, a delivery service in Meribel. For Indian food, Tsaretta Spice is recommended.

Have lunch at La Cantine d'Alvar, the terrace offers unparalleled views of Mont Vallon. The little ones in your company will love sampling the creamy fondues at La Fromagerie.

The Resort

Méribel is a village with a true alpine heart. You won’t find blocks of hotels and purpose-built facilities here. Instead, the compact and lively town centre is picture-postcard perfect, and its atmosphere is quaint and fairytale-like. It is without a doubt the most romantic resort in the area and if you’re planning a couples holiday in the snow you’ll definitely want to take a closer look at Méribel. 

At the centre of the world famous Trois Vallées (Three Valleys), Méribel makes up part of the largest ski domain in the world. Across the valleys, it has six sister resorts. You can either get a single-resort lift pass and keep to the fantastic beginner and intermediate terrain there, but you also have the option of purchasing a pass that covers the whole area. 

The advanced lift system at Méribel will let you maximise your time on the snow and make sure you’re not waiting around in queues. With 67 runs to try out just in the resort itself, there is no time to be wasted. Just beware of the afternoon sun cutting things short on the west-facing slopes and prepare to get up with the sun if you’re after untouched powder. At it’s highest skiing point Méribel reaches an altitude of 2952 metres and the descent from this point is known to be one of the most scenic runs around.

Aside from the world-class skiing, Méribel is also known to be one of the liveliest resorts in the Three Valleys. Many of its residents and bar-owners (as well as plenty of its visitors) are expat-Brits who certainly know how to party. The après-ski scene here is truly top-notch!

Apartment Venturon is expansive with many spaces dedicated to lounging. Little ones can cuddle on the warm sofas in the TV lounge and watch their favourite Christmas classic. If they would rather binge-watch their favourite shows, there is Wi-Fi.

The reading lounge offers a slice of tranquillity. Children will enjoy resting here after a long day on the slopes of Doron. For toddlers, a baby cot and a high chair can be arranged. The spacious double bedrooms mean the children will also get a taste of upscale Alpine life.

Méribel is a family-friendly delight. Older kids can head to the 3.4 km-long Mission Black Forest. It has a thrilling 470 m vertical drop. Younger children can try the Himalayas by Night descent with only 2 km in length. For adventure seekers, paragliding over Méribel is a must-try activity.
