Apartment Tetras 1 is a 3-bedroom estate of snow-capped peaks, rolling slopes and cosy-home living. Located less than 250 meters from the village of Meribel, it comfortably accommodates eight guests. Part of Les Trois Vallées, you’re at an easy distance from trendy eateries and lively apres-ski activities.
Inspired by traditional Savoyard architecture, it blends the charm of a winter home with modern vacationing. Rustic wooden elements are offset by bright yellow hues and contemporary decor. Large glass sliders and sunny balconies face lush outdoors and offer ample space to wine and dine.
After an exciting day on the slopes, pamper yourself with some me-time in the living area. Warm and sumptuous, it guarantees an especially relaxed time. Gather around the roaring fireplace and exchange stories from the day. Unwind before the satellite TV and watch your favourite shows. The large dining arrangement brings families together for delicious meals, while the bar area with high chairs is ideal for casual chats.
Whip up creamy fondue and enjoy an afternoon of cooking in the modern kitchen. Sleek countertops and wooden cabinetry are stocked with a refrigerator, dishwasher and induction hobs.
All bedrooms are en-suite and kitted with televisions. While two bedrooms feature double beds, the family room has bunk beds that sleep four. Relish your morning coffee in cosy balconies or rejuvenate for hours in the glossy bathtub. A separate bathroom is included.
To make your stay as relaxed as possible, the apartment takes great pride in its ultra-efficient and courteous housekeeping services. The Resort
Méribel is a village with a true alpine heart. You won’t find blocks of hotels and purpose-built facilities here. Instead, the compact and lively town centre is picture-postcard perfect, and its atmosphere is quaint and fairytale-like. It is without a doubt the most romantic resort in the area and if you’re planning a couples holiday in the snow you’ll definitely want to take a closer look at Méribel.
At the centre of the world famous Trois Vallées (Three Valleys), Méribel makes up part of the largest ski domain in the world. Across the valleys, it has six sister resorts. You can either get a single-resort lift pass and keep to the fantastic beginner and intermediate terrain there, but you also have the option of purchasing a pass that covers the whole area.
The advanced lift system at Méribel will let you maximise your time on the snow and make sure you’re not waiting around in queues. With 67 runs to try out just in the resort itself, there is no time to be wasted. Just beware of the afternoon sun cutting things short on the west-facing slopes and prepare to get up with the sun if you’re after untouched powder. At it’s highest skiing point Méribel reaches an altitude of 2952 metres and the descent from this point is known to be one of the most scenic runs around.
Aside from the world-class skiing, Méribel is also known to be one of the liveliest resorts in the Three Valleys. Many of its residents and bar-owners (as well as plenty of its visitors) are expat-Brits who certainly know how to party. The après-ski scene here is truly top-notch!
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesKids are guaranteed a marvellous time. They can build snowmen, play-fight with snowballs and indulge in a variety of activities like hiking, horse riding and cycling.
After a long day outdoors, they can retire to their bedroom or spend hours watching TV.
The home is at a striking distance from nursery slopes, delightful ice-skating rinks and other kid-friendly winter activities. The staff will be happy to help you with details about ski schools and kid-friendly ski areas in the neighbourhood.
Meribel is a haven for the entire family, with many activities specially designed for kids. Head to Olympic Park and go ice skating on the rink. There is also a bowling alley with some lanes built explicitly for kids over the age of three. Treat them to hours of splashy fun in the indoor swimming pool, which includes a kids' section.
In the evenings, bundle into the Cinéma du Mottaret and watch classic children's films with packs of buttery popcorn. Take a wonderful hot air balloon ride over snowy forests and jagged peaks at Courchevel Altiport, which is about 45 mins by car from Meribel Centre. Your kids will love taking pictures and sending their social media into a tizzy.
Little ones have big appetites on holidays. There are plenty of options close to the resort that will satiate their every need. At Rond Point restaurant, they can enjoy the best ice cream sundaes in town. For something savoury, dip into a bowl of cheesy fondue at La Fromagerie.
