As you enter the chalet, you’ll immediately be immediately struck by the sense of elegance and refinement woven into the very fabric of its design. Chalet Sophia’s interior is a perfect blend of traditional Alpine style and modern luxury, with warm, natural materials, sleek lines, and contemporary furnishings. The open-plan living area features large windows that flood the space with natural light and provide breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains.
The living area is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day on the slopes, whether that involves curling up in front of the roaring fire in the cosy lounge area or gathering around the large dining table with family and friends for a delicious meal.
The chalet also features a fully equipped modern kitchen with all the appliances you need to prepare your favourite meals for your group to enjoy. Breakfast, however, is a more relaxed affair as Chalet Sophia’s dedicated chalet staff will visit each morning to prepare a delicious breakfast for your group.
Four bedrooms are spread across the chalet, ensuring plenty of privacy and space for everyone. Each room has its own ensuite bathroom, with luxurious fixtures and fittings that are sure to impress. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with a warm, inviting atmosphere, plush bedding, and plenty of storage space laid out in either double, twin, or bunk bed configurations.
Chalet Sophia also boasts an impressive range of wellness facilities for your comfort where you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the Jacuzzi or work up a sweat in the fully equipped gym.
What you should know…
- If you plan to travel with infants, please let us know at the point of booking so that the chalet staff can arrange for baby cots and highchairs to be set up for you
- When using the wellness facilities, please note that children under the age of five are not advised to use the hot tub or sauna and older children should always be supervised when doing so
- If you plan to explore the wider area during your stay, we recommend renting a vehicle as the Courchevel resort is spread across several villages and elevations around the mountain

Chalet Sophia is ideally easy to find and navigate to, with many guests choosing to drive themselves directly to the chalet. If you wish to fly into the area and rent a vehicle to complete the journey, your nearest airports are Geneva and Lyon Airport which are both just over two hours’ away. Alternatively, you can arrange for a shared or private transfer to take your group up to Courchevel. Once you arrive in the resort, you’ll find that your chalet is just a short walk from the ski lifts and the village centre.
The Courchevel area itself is one of the most prestigious ski resorts in the world and offers an incredible range of activities and amenities. With a seemingly endless choice or pristine pistes and plenary of off-piste opportunities, Courchevel is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The Resort
Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.
The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.
With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts.
In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.

High-speed internet is available across the chalet’s premises, allowing kids to stay connected to friends and keep up with their favourite shows, streams, and games while on their travels. For older children, the wellness suite provides plenty of opportunities for rest and relaxation in the sauna and hot tub.
In the wider area, skiing and snowboarding are the main attractions for children in Courchevel and many activities revolve around the pristine snow found on the mountain. The chalet is located just a short walk from the ski lifts, and the resort offers a range of skiing opportunities for kids of all ages and skill levels.
Aside from skiing, Courchevel also offers a wonderful range of additional winter activities that kids can enjoy. From Sledding and ice-skating to playing at the resort’s dedicated children’s snow park, Chalet Sophia is a brilliant base for kids who love outdoor adventures.
In town, you’ll also find several indoor facilities like swimming pools, bowling alleys, and cinemas where kids get away from the cold and have fun family-friendly fun.
