What you should know…

  • Please note that children under the age of five are advised not to use the chalet’s hot tub and that older children should always be supervised when using it
  • If you are planning to visit Chalet Fae with young children, please let us know at the time of booking so that we can arrange special amenities like a baby cot and high chairs
  • As the Courchevel area is somewhat spread out across different villages, we recommend renting a vehicle during your stay if you wish to travel around the area during your stay

Chalet Fae is located in the idyllic Courchevel 1550 area, a charming village located just below Courchevel 1850. As one of the most sought-after areas in the Three Valleys ski zone, Chalet Fae benefits from easy access to the slopes and local amenities.

To get to Chalet Fae, you can self-drive from the starting point of your choice with ease thanks to Courchevel’s excellent road network. Alternatively, you can fly into the larger airports at Geneva or Lyon and transfer over to the resort in a private vehicle as taxis and rental services are easily accessible at both locations.

The location of Chalet Fae provides the perfect mix of skiing and relaxation, with easy access to the slopes and a range of activities and amenities available in the village and surrounding area. Aside from skiing and snowboarding, there are many other activities to enjoy in and around the surrounding Courchevel area. For those seeking adventure, there are many activities to try such as snowshoeing, ice skating, and tobogganing. While those who wish to simply rest and relax can enjoy a well-deserved break at one of Courchevel’s many spas. The Resort

Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.  

The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.

With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts. 

In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.

For a fun-filled family ski break, look no further than Chalet Fae. With its fantastic location and choice of amenities, you’ll always find plenty of fun activities to enjoy in and around the chalet.

Within the chalet itself, kids can take advantage of free high-speed internet throughout the property to get online and stay connected to their friends back home while streaming their favourite games and media at no additional cost.

On the slopes, kids can participate in a number of snow-based activities such as snow trekking, sledding, and tobogganing. There is also a dedicated ski school in the area where kids can improve their skills in fun-filled activities while making new friends at the same time.

As a family, you can enjoy a change of pace from the snow by visiting the popular Aquamotion centre; an aquatics centre with swimming several pools, slides, and an indoor surfing simulator.

Kids can also visit the nearby Adventure Park, an outdoor obstacle course with zip lines and other challenging elements.
