Great Value
Self-Catered Ideal for Kids Walk to Village

Situated in the centre of Courchevel, this stunning modern apartment is located just moments from the slopes, whilst hotel-like services and a cosy interior make it the ideal place to retreat to after a long day on the mountains.

Part of a newly-built residence, Apartment Theo has been thoughtfully arranged with light oak floors and smart timber joinery that offer a contemporary take on a traditional alpine chalet. Upon entering, the main living space is warm and inviting, with large openings that draw in plenty of natural light. A set of double doors lead out onto the balcony, where you can sit in the fresh air and enjoy a warming hot chocolate whilst looking out at the snowy Vanoise peaks. Internally, exposed stone walls acknowledge the natural mountain surroundings, whilst stylish furniture and creative artworks offer an understated elegance. To one side, a large sofa and armchair invite you to relax in front of the TV, whilst to the other, a neat dining table is perfect for sharing entertaining meals. A fully-equipped kitchen can be found at the rear of the room, with everything you need to prepare family favourites, or why not make use of the fondue appliance and share the classic indulgent dish.

The apartment has two smartly-presented bedrooms with the option of double or twin beds, making it ideal for a small family or a couple of friends. One of the rooms features an ensuite bathroom with a lovely bathtub where you can soak tired muscles at the end of the day, whilst the other room has access to an independent shower room.

Enjoying the independence and privacy of an apartment, guests can also make use of the residence’s facilities, and for those looking to keep up their routine, a fitness suite can be accessed on the lower floors. A wellness centre offers a sauna room, or you can book into a treatment to enjoy a range of therapies. There is a ski locker in the basement, perfect for storing wet kits, as well as an underground car park where guests can find an allocated parking space.

Located in the midst of the magical French Alps, Apartment Theo enjoys a prime position, nestled in the heart of Courchevel Village. Slightly quieter than the higher districts, the Village (or 1500) is a mix of traditional chalets and modern hotels, and just 50m away, the Grangette Gondola will transport you to the central lifts where you can find an impressive piste map waiting to be explored.

Part of the renowned Trois Vallées, Courchevel is one of the world’s most connected resorts, and with a high proportion of north-facing slopes, you can expect reliable snow cover and some of the finest powder around. A number of ski schools offer group and private tuition, perfect for those looking to develop confidence, and the area of La Tania features a number of beginner zones and nursery slopes. A mix of classic reds and challenging blacks are suited to more seasoned skiers or hire a guide and head off-piste to discover the valley's full potential. Les Creux Noirs is a challenging east-facing slope with complex couloirs and rock bands, or seek out some speed at the top of the resort and enjoy a fast-past run down the Grand Couloir.

Courchevel’s hospitality is on par with the skiing, and a number of exclusive hotels have attracted an impressive fine dining scene. For those just looking for a simple pit stop, Le Pilatus is the perfect place for lunch in the sun, with a delicious menu of French classics and an unbeatable view of the altiport runway. Alternatively, La Cave des Creux is a favourite amongst locals and instructors, with a laid-back atmosphere and wonderful brasserie-style menu that celebrates ingredients sourced from the surrounding region. Le Caterail is the perfect place to end the day, with live bands and DJs playing late into the night, and guests can make the most of the upbeat scene before catching the gondola back down the valley.

For non-skiers or those looking for a fun day off, there is plenty to see and do, both on and off the mountain. A pedestrian lift pass invites you to discover the circus of walking trails, and you can grab a pair of ‘raquettes’ to head off the beaten track and uncover the wilder side of the valley. For a bit of a thrill, head up to Moriond to race down to the impressive luge track or enjoy a more leisurely experience being pulled along on a sled by a pack of huskies. Alternatively, if you are after a complete wind-down, many of the hotels feature luxury spas that are open to non-guests or head along to Aquamotion to swim in the outdoor pool or sit in the snow-lined jacuzzi and soak your tired muscles.

The Resort

Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.

The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.

With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts.

In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.

With its central location and cozy layout, Apartment Theo is perfect for a small family, and you can look forward to returning home after a tiring day on the mountain. Enjoy home-cooked meals, share entertaining evenings around the dinner table or curl up on the sofa to watch a classic family movie.

Kids will love the magical alpine setting, and with the lifts just 50m away, the slopes couldn’t be easier to reach. A handful of local ski schools and kindergartens offer a mixture of courses, so you can head off and explore the peaks whilst letting the kids have fun and learn to safely navigate the slopes. If you choose to ski together, the family park has a fun range of obstacles for all abilities, or head to the top of the Ariondaz gondola to enjoy the Indian-themed run and activities inspired by the Wild West.

A number of toboggan runs invite you to whizz down the mountain or enjoy a special ride on a larger sled being pulled along by a pack of charming huskies. Head to the local skating rink to spend an entertaining evening on the ice, or visit Aquamotion, where all the family can enjoy a swim in the snow-lined pools. A handful of waterslides and wave pools will keep the kids entertained, and adults can sneak off to the jacuzzi for a few moments of peace.
