The Resort

Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.

The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.

With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts.

In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Teens Ideal for Xmas/NY

Apartment Creux Noir is not only a haven for adults seeking a luxurious mountain retreat; it's also an ideal destination for families, ensuring that kids will have an unforgettable experience in the heart of Courchevel 1850. The chalet apartment is a perfect home away from home for families, offering a spacious and comfortable setting where children can create cherished memories amidst the stunning Alpine backdrop.

One of the primary attractions for kids is the ski-in-ski-out access right from the doorstep. This means that children can easily hit the slopes and enjoy the magic of snow and skiing without the hassle of transportation or long walks. The convenience alone makes it an excellent choice for families with young skiers or snowboarders.

For those days when a break from the slopes is needed, the Mascara residence's private spa is a fantastic feature. While parents indulge in relaxation, kids can splash and play in the pool or have fun in the spa's designated areas for children. It's a delightful way for the little ones to unwind after an active day on the mountain.

Courchevel 1850, part of the Three Valleys ski area, also offers plenty of attractions for kids. The ski school in the resort is renowned for its excellent instruction, making it the perfect place for children to learn or improve their skiing skills. The thrill of skiing down the slopes and progressing in the sport can be an enriching experience for youngsters.

Beyond the snow, Courchevel 1850 is a vibrant destination with numerous activities catering to all ages. The resort often hosts events and festivities, ensuring that kids are entertained throughout their stay. From ice skating and sledging to dog sledging and even snowshoeing, there's an array of winter activities to keep kids engaged and excited.

Moreover, the charming village is home to delightful boutiques and shops, offering a chance for the young ones to explore and find that perfect souvenir to remember their mountain vacation. The lively après-ski scene, while usually more adult-oriented, is not to be missed for older kids and teenagers looking to soak in the Alpine atmosphere.
