Overview

Chalet Apartment Modern Self-Catered Ideal for Kids Parking Space

We dare you not to fall in love with Apartment Coutelot. It’s hard not to fall head over hills for this decadent penthouse located in the Isard residence in the very heart of the pretty Courchevel Village. Due to your proximity to the slopes, you can enjoy the combination of dramatic, vigorous and gentle skiing opportunities available whilst also enjoying retreating to your elegant and inviting home.

Although the area is famed for its many skiing opportunities, you might prefer to enjoy the tranquil side of this beautiful part of the world: enjoying the gourmet food scene, meandering around the picturesque villages, and sampling gooey fondue.

From your penthouse located on the fourth floor, you’ll be able to see stunning panoramic views of Courchevel, including its vibrant forests, quaint woodland and snow-capped mountains. The property itself runs across two levels and is able to accommodate 12 people, making it ideal for a gathering of friends or a huge family trip. With four bedrooms, two of which contain en suites, and two children’s bedrooms, this is the perfect place to make spectacular memories.

The piece de resistance may very well be the grand living area, located beneath a wooden roof, which creates height in the centre of the room. You’ll find that the kitchen, dining room, TV lounge and living room are all open to one another but are bounded by the high ceilings, which lends a sense of compartmentalisation to the space. You can enjoy indulgent views out on the south-facing terrace, where you can take in panoramas of the valley and mountains. Snuggle up on the sofa with the fire on, enjoying some champagne and conversation or a good book. Tuck into big communal dinners at the epic dining table complete with quirky modern light fixtures, and transport yourself into the 21st century in the spick and span all-white and fully kitted out kitchen.

The property is cladded in wood but enhanced with modern furniture and lighting, which creates a beautiful blend of comfort and class. There’s understated opulence here. You can enjoy an elevated sense of living while feeling right at home.
A self-catering space, you can make use of the vast communal areas to try your hand at local delicacies which are infused with French flair and spend time together with your loved ones.

There’s a touch of luxury that runs through this property, offset by the vintage impact of the wood and low-hanging beams. Plush velvet carpets, modern sofas and tasteful overhead lighting all create a vibrant space.

The property itself is on the slopes, making it ideal for getting out and about skiing, but it’s also close enough to shops and services, making it a practical place to be. It serves as a great base camp whether you want to ski, spend time at the Aquamotion aquatic centre, or get busy exploring the local village.

Welcome to the airy brilliance and warm reassurance of Apartment Coutelot.

Your home for the duration of your stay is located in the world-renowned area of Courchevel.

It's easy to get here with major airports, including Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery. Although the distance between airports varies, you'll be able to arrive at the property within three hours by car. Courchevel is well-vested in tourism, making it logistically easy. Upon arrival, you can use the shuttle service, private taxi or a private vehicle rental service directly from the airport.

The draw here is the staggering natural beauty. Its charm is that it's idyllic in a way that few places today truly are. It embodies and celebrates winter in every way, making it ideal for those who favour (and savour) the colder months. You can enjoy the fairy-tale woods and the dominating views of the famed Alps.

You're perfectly positioned to enjoy the slopes – you're closest to Tovets. You can very easily enjoy adventures in this snowy wonderland. It doesn't matter if you're a veteran glued to your skies or a total beginner who wants to try something new; the terrain is vast and diverse, allowing skiers of all experience levels to test their mettle. Experts can enjoy challenging, adrenaline-inducing slopes, whilst beginners can enjoy a softer introduction to this extreme sport.

Although skiing is central to many people's experiences of the area, there's plenty more to enjoy in Courchevel, including paragliding over the peaks, touring the mountain and enjoying a traditional horse-drawn sleigh. The village of Courchevel itself is a fantastic village where you can effortlessly whittle away some time. The streets are plentiful with pretty boutique shops where you can select some local foods, winter wear and Alpine souvenirs for your nearest and dearest.

Those with an affinity for gastronomy will enjoy the thriving food scene. There are heavenly French pastries on offer, as well as extravagant hot chocolates and a huge array of gourmet restaurants.

The Resort

Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.

The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.

With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts.

In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids Ideal for Teens

The area is a firm favourite with both adults and children, making it a true paradise for families. It’s not hard to see why the area appeals. Its atmosphere is charged and embodies the spirit of Christmas, with its festivity and generosity. With such a vast array of activities for all and a cosy chalet environment, you can rest assured that you’ll all make memories for life.

Children can enjoy their comfortable, warm rooms and enjoy the communal space where they can spend quality family time together. Whether you want to snuggle up and watch TV, make meals together, enjoy dinner at the table, lounge about and take in the astonishing mountain views. The chalet is intended for family time, so you can easily hunker down together whilst being surrounded by astonishingly vibrant nature.

Back at home, bring out the board games and enjoy lively dinners together. Head out to the terrace to gaze longingly at the view and read the kids a bedtime story as they hunker down in their bunk beds.

Part of what makes the location so sublime is its authentic Christmas feel. When children awake to snow-capped mountains, dynamic slopes and inviting villages, they make you think they’ve awoken to a dream or accidentally slipped through the wardrobe into Narnia as ruled by the white witch. Children can enjoy one of many ski schools in the area where they can learn to ski whilst making new friends too.

In Courchevel’s town centre, you can enjoy bowling, and visit the Aquamotion sports centre. Here you can enjoy the indoor pools, water slides and outdoor surfing machine.
