Overview

Chalet Apartment Modern Self-Catered Ski-In/Ski-Out Ideal for Kids Walk to Village All Bedrooms En-Suite

Welcome to the beguiling beauty of Apartment Cochet. Located in the enchanting Nogentil district of Courchevel, there's oodles of charisma to be found in this chic, sophisticated property. You can also enjoy beautiful views of the Courchevel resort.

The residence itself flaunts the historical architectural style of Courchevel. For example, there's the skillion roof. But the property has also been renovated to ensure that despite keeping the assets of the original architecture, the codes of contemporary alpine style are very much embedded. This creates a blissful marriage of old and new that works well and is both surprising and endearing.

The landscape is a fantasy of serenity and snow, as if winter was captured for your enjoyment alone. With cosy and convenient seating, you can easily enjoy the views of forests and mountains, whether your preference is snuggling up with a book, taking it all, practising your photography skills or enjoying a warming drink as you take it all in. With a large terrace surrounding the apartment, the sun's warmth will be available all day, making it an enchanting little sun trap despite the wintry setting. Spend some time on the comfortable nook overlooking the wilds beyond, the perfect place for a nap or reading a good book. The gorgeous fireplace shoots the apartment through with gentle warmth and is elegantly built into the wall.

The bedrooms are decorated with relaxation in mind but are also shot through with a dash of eccentricity. Earthy showers are the perfect place to ground yourself after a day of adventures and warm up in a fluffy towel.

Inside, you can appreciate an atmosphere that is bright and cosy and uses ample light. It's contemporary and modern but warmed with wood, balancing a structured sense of modernity with gentle cosiness. Ideal for six, the property contains three bedrooms, an elongated living room with a dining room, kitchen and lounge.

You're also positioned close to the slopes and the Pralong chairlift, less than 100m away. You can enjoy exploring the Three Valleys, which cover Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens. Enjoy your very own winter wonderland.

Your home for the duration of your stay is located in the Nogentil district of Courchevel.

It's easy to get here with major airports, including Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery. Although the distance between airports varies, you'll be able to arrive at the property within three hours by car. Courchevel is well-vested in tourism, making it logistically easy. Upon arrival, you can use the shuttle service, private taxi or a private vehicle rental service directly from the airport.

The draw here is the staggering natural beauty. Its charm is that it's idyllic in a way few places today truly are. It embodies and celebrates winter in every way, making it ideal for those who favour (and savour) the colder months. You can enjoy the fairy-tale woods and the dominating views of the famed Alps.

You're perfectly positioned to enjoy the slopes – you're closest to Pralong. You can very easily enjoy adventures in this snowy wonderland. It doesn't matter if you're a veteran glued to your skis or a total beginner who wants to try something new; the terrain is vast and diverse, allowing skiers of all experience levels to test their mettle. Experts can enjoy challenging, adrenaline-inducing slopes, while beginners enjoy a softer introduction to this extreme sport.

Although skiing is central to many people's experiences of the area, there's plenty more to enjoy in Courchevel, including paragliding over the peaks, touring the mountain and enjoying a traditional horse-drawn sleigh. The village of Courchevel itself is a fantastic village where you can effortlessly whittle away some time. The streets are plentiful with pretty boutique shops where you can select local foods, winter wear and Alpine souvenirs for your nearest and dearest.

Those with an affinity for gastronomy will enjoy the thriving food scene. There are heavenly French pastries on offer, as well as extravagant hot chocolates and a vast array of gourmet restaurants.

The Resort

Courchevel is made up of six satellite villages, each with their own distinct style and atmosphere, and picturesque forest roads to lead you in-between. Most well known is the illustrious Courchevel 1850 with its reputation for exclusivity and an A-List clientele. 1850 is certainly the place to go for five-star hotels, swanky bars and extravagant nightlife. The other Courchevel villages (such as Courchevel Moriond) have a much more laid back vibe and are certainly the more affordable choice.

The skiing in Courchevel is split into four levels and you can take an excellent free ski bus in between. At the resort itself you have 150 kilometres of pistes at your feet and while you can get a Courchevel lift-pass you can also ski the whole of the Three Valleys with an area-pass. Since the slopes here face north, the snow at Courchevel is more reliable than elsewhere in the Three Valleys. Courchevel pistes are absolutely unrivaled, meticulously maintained and perfectly positioned to align with the landscape.

With its highest lift at 2740m altitude, Courchevel is exceptionally good for high altitude skiing with incredible alpine views, and the most impressive runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. But for the little ones just finding their snow legs, the resort has a fantastic children’s village where they can learn in a stress-free environment. Ski season here lasts until late April and even if you prefer not to ski at all, you’ll be well entertained with everything from scenic walks to classical music concerts.

In the evenings, the Courchevel night skies are lit up by spectacular firework displays that could get anyone in the mood for a night on the town. The bars here are a good mix of casual and upmarket, so there’s plenty for all tastes to enjoy when it comes to après-ski. Courchevel also has a well-earned reputation for being the best ski resort when it comes to gastronomy.

The area is a firm favourite for adults and children, making it a true paradise for families. It's easy to see why the area appeals. Its atmosphere is charged and embodies the spirit of Christmas with its festivity and generosity. With such a vast array of activities and a cosy chalet environment, you can rest assured that you'll all make memories for life.

Children can enjoy their comfortable, warm rooms and enjoy the communal space where you can spend quality family time together. Whether you want to snuggle up and watch TV, make meals together, enjoy dinner at the table, lounge about and take in the astonishing mountain views. The chalet is intended for family time, so you can easily hunker down together whilst being surrounded by astonishingly vibrant nature.

Part of what makes the location so sublime is its authentic Christmas feel. When children awake to snow-capped mountains, dynamic slopes and inviting villages, they think they've awoken to a dream or accidentally slipped through the wardrobe into Narnia, ruled by the white witch. Children can enjoy one of many ski schools in the area where they can learn to ski whilst making new friends too.

In Courchevel's town centre, you can enjoy bowling, and visit the Aquamotion sports centre. You can enjoy the indoor pools, water slides and outdoor surfing machine here.
