Villa Quinta Santa Luzia is a special place to come together, whether you are celebrating an occasion or just want to share the experience. There is a lot to look forward to, like enjoying your meals in the sunshine on the spacious veranda, or perhaps taking an organised boat trip around the island. Parties with up to forty-five guests can be arranged and catered for, taking place beside the pool or in the billiard house.
The pool terrace offers sun loungers and a barbecue, and a covered dining terrace and children’s play area can also be found here. The property enjoys spectacular views over the bay of Funchal, and its charming gardens are also sure to impress.
The interiors are suitably grand and features a library, living room, dining room and a well-equipped kitchen, recently upgraded with high-quality appliances. A grand piano in the hall and a full-size snooker table are among the features you can enjoy during your stay.
There are three double bedrooms, five twin bedrooms (can be converted into double bedrooms upon request) and a single bedroom – all rooms have a private en-suite bathroom except two adjoining rooms which share a bathroom.
All sorts of extras can be arranged, including massage treatments, groceries and excursions around Madeira. You can look forward to a welcome basket with fresh produce from the Quinta, cheese, bread and coffee – this can be upgraded with some extra treats like Madeira wine for a small charge.
Funchal has plenty to see, with its Old Town and cathedral just a short distance away. Tropical and botanical gardens add lots of colour, while the beautiful views are enhanced yet further by a trip on Funchal’s cable car, which takes you from the Old Town to Monte Palace.
- This property accepts groups of a minimum of four people - please note that with a lower occupancy some bedrooms will not be accessible to guests

- The house is offered on a self-catering basis, but breakfast and other meals can be arranged at an additional cost
- Please note that spaces are available for local Craftsmanship & Artist businesses to rent
- Amongst the Poios and grounds there is farmland, so don't be surprised to hear the occasional bleat of a livestock
- All bedrooms can be made into a double or twin room apart from room 6 which must stay as a double and room 9 which is a single

The Farm
Surrounding these properties is an area of farmland set amongst the traditional “poios” (terraces) which is really the heart of the whole Quinta. The vineyard produces grapes used in the production of Blandy's Madeira wine whilst the herbs and vegetables are sold to local restaurents and hotels and are also offered to guests who stay on the property.
Guests are welcome to explore the farmland and pathways that wend their way alongside narrow leavadas (irrigation channels) that help circulate water around the Quinta. There are many nooks and crannies to be discovered.
On-site Ceramicist
Villa Quina de Santa Luzia has an on-site ceramic workshop were they are welcome to try this art (on request). Barro Cru is a space for all those who are interested in ceramics, both in the form of creating (on the wheel) as well as painting and tiles. If you are interested please enquire.
